"The Persuaders" is my favorite TV series of all-time, but I haven't seen it since I was a callow youth some 30+ years ago, and I had no idea that it featured some of our "scenes." Thanks for reminding an aging trucker of the good ol' days. Leo the Daydreamer

Great 1-liners on the "Guiding Light" scene as Wendy clearly says through her gag "Untie me right now you stupid idiot" and "Cassie you better not leave me here...I swear to God I'll kill you." Too bad the "Guardian" writers can't get Wendy in a new scene.

Shanghai Knights
I went on a little Kazaa hunt for Ms. Wong this morning. 770 Gigabytes later, I had the entire movie sitting on my desktop like a beached whale. Unfortunately, I was uanble to make a clip out of the scenes, as the audio would not sync up with the video, etc., etc. However, i was able to pilfer some very nice vidcaps. You will find them at the below URL.

All I have to say is what a horrible movie, but what a great DID. It is common knowledge that Wavy loves the Asian babes. The Asian flower in this movie is quite the babe indeed. I am definitely a Fann of Ms. Wong.

No, I do not have the world's biggest hard drive. I meant megabytes. The Kettle One was doing the writing in that last post unfortunately. D'oh!

What is the REAL Title?
Entry #8885:
Title on local TV Station: "Rage To Kill"
Any idea about the REAL Title of this movie?
-----------------------------------------------
This is an old movie from HK / China, not mentioned on IMDB
An ex gang member's wife was kidnapped by a renegade member of the gang
She was bound using red rope, arm spread to her side around a large
water tank (behind her back). She managed to escape, but the villain capture her.
She was bound again in the same position, but with black cloths.
The villain force her to eat some food (food gag).
Later her husband and another woman came with ransom money.
Unfortunately after receiving the money, the villain refuse to release
his hostage. Later the gang leader and other members come and kill the villain.
The DID is rescued by her husband.

I want to ask this question as well. It looks like Martin even has the handcuffs ready: either she is already tied AOH or she has raised her arms in preperation for such tying.

Re: Futuristic Sci-Fi two-way blindfold wanted
I would propose the following design:

1) The futuristic sci-fi "eye-revealing" blindfold (FSFERB) would be modified from a black scuba-diver's or frogman's mask (the biggal oval one-piece goggles). The large "window" area would allow a good view of the damsel's eyes.

2) So that the damsel could breath through her nose while the mask is strapped over her face (assuming she is gagged as well), the top or bottom of the mask would be pierced by one or more tubes, fairly wide (say at least half an inch in diameter) to allow ample airflow. At the same time, the tubes would have to be, say, at least twice as long as their diameter, or more, so the damsel could not easily look through them.

3) The "we can see in, but the damsel can't see out"-ness could be achieved in either of two ways:

3a) A one-mirror effect, like mirrored sunglasses, but with the silvering on the inside, as has already been suggested.

3b) Rim the inside of the goggles with very bright lights (INSIDE the glass) and keep the damsel in a very darkened room. When the SF movie OUTLAND (with Sean Connery) came out several years ago, one critic noted that the space helmets were lit by tiny lights along the rim of the INSIDE of the visors, which meant the poor astronauts would be blinded while in the darkness of space, since they would only be able to see their own reflections in the visor. (Tonight when it's dark, stand in a brighly lit room and look out the window and see how much of the outoors you can see.) This version of the FSFERB would provide the same effect.

The only drawback of 3b would be that in a movie, a scene would necessarily be dimly lit and we could ONLY see the damsel's eyes. Although, this might be dramatically kinda cool, as she tries to "look" around frantically and we see her own goggles illuminating her surroundings like a questing searchlight, but of no use to her. (It would help if instead of true darkness the movie-makers fake it with dimmish blue light standing in for no light.)

4) The damsel's gag might be some kind of black rubber mouthpiece (maybe a plug gag or ballgag with a mouth-covering black rubber panel) that's an built into the FSFERB itself.

In a SF movie, the actress would have to convey "I can't see"-ness by frantically looking around, eyes darting around in a questing manner, brows furrowed to suggested frustration, and possibly squinting from time to time. Truth to tell, through such a device, she probably could see out a LITTLE (like looking out through a very dirty car windshield at night). Mostly, though, she would have a great deal of difficulty looking through the reflection of her own frightened eyes, which is psychologically kind of nifty, even though it might be rather difficult to show the damsel's viewpint on-screen.

The sound of the damsel's breathing would be emphasized by the fact that her breath is rushing in and out through tubes. The challenge of conveying panic, fear or other emotions through the sound of her breathing, plus conveying the "you can see in but I can't see out" blindedness, should be an irrestible acting challenge to any actress worth her salt .... :)

... and maybe we can keep this on-topic by suggesting any SF TV or movie series in which we'd like to see such a device appear, as well as naming the character/actress who should be wearing it.

Frex, I would have liked to see this on either Aeryn Sun or the gray-skinned bombshell on FARSCAPE, before it got canceled.

Early in the movie Martin is working as a security guard is a factory when he catches the woman, Lola, "Filing in the dark." ("A very serious offense."). He then finds that she is wearing a concealed thong. After a while there are a few shots of her handcuffed to an overhead pipe.

Later in the flick, Martin is flirting with another woman and turns to Zahn and ask to barrow his cuffs, but nothing happens.

I'll have some caps when I get my computer working again.
