This definitely sounds like the scene. I remember the part about her being pinned to the floor now that you mention it.

Soaps update
Lily was rescused from the pit at the close of the episode but Rose was grabbed by the bad guy while trying to escape. He took her a cabin and she's about to dangle from a noose when the good guy enters the cabin and is confronted by the villain as the show ends. Where this goes on Monday is anyone's guess, but this storyline is due to end.

It appears she was tied up (no gag) but you coulnd't see much. Golden chance blown since the bad guy was waiting behind a door for the cop to appear yet doesn't gag her. But since it's multiple-scene Martha Byrne, who really cares. Now if that was Katie (Teri Colombino), that would have been a travesty.

I believe she's knocked out with the butt of the gun that the "Janet" character is holding. The scene actually began in the last 15 minutes of the previous episode and includes at least one more scene of Gellar bound and unconscious. I'm almost positive that I caught that on tape but as yet I haven't found it. That's why it wasn't included when I posted the caps. Maybe if I ever run across the knock out scene I'll get off my lazy ass and update the page.

Speaking of the page, I just noticed that DiDTown was founded 4 years ago today July 5, 1999. Kinda stopped messing with it when I got a computer but since I was able to keep the MSNTV service for no extra costs, I just thought I'd leave the page up.

Old scene
I know someone has to remember this because it is in the database, but does anyone really remember the show "The Tomorrow People"? Not the old 70s one, but the early 90s show that came on Nickelodeon. I remembered a scene tonight and decided to consult with the DB.

Record number: 6330

Title: Tomorrow People, The (1992)
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Laurence Bouvard

Description: Episode: "The Monsoon Man" (2.2)

Lucy Allen (Bouvard), an attractive journalist, stumbles across bad things in a lab and is caught. We see her being hustled from a jeep through a warehouse with a black over the mouth gag. Her captors demand she tells them information and one of them suggests it may help if they remove her gag.

Later in the episode, she is caught snooping around a wagon and powerfully handgagged. A police car pulls up on the other side and the cop shouts to ask the driver if everything is ok. We see excellent struggling and mmmphing as she tries to free herself and alert the policeman, but she can't escape his grasp.

Does anyone remember this or have a clip/vidcaps of this? I'd be grateful. Thanks.

The quality isn't the best, but here you go.

Thanks for the information. I'll probably take the plunge.
To Anubis: Don't worry too much, I'm sure the Daddy character found Susan and released her once he got home. I still laugh when I hear that godawful mother screaming her kid's name and then the gunshot and the dropped cowbell. The kid brother kidnapper's admission that he would be proud just to "break a hundred" as a killer was hilarious, too. Leo the Only Slightly Twisted -- Honest

Leo, I'd love to discuss this movie further, but it's straying into off-topic territory.

If you're interested, feel like carrying it over to AG?

That was a very productive show with at least 2 great scenes that I know of. In addition, is it me or does Laurence (Weird name for a chick...) bear an incredible striking resemblance to Claudia Black?

I just added "Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding" to the database.
I've recently read that Charlie's Angels 2 didn't make as much money as they were hoping for. I can't help but notice that the first film, which had a bondage scene, was a hit. But the second, which does not have a DID scene, looks to be a flop. This just proves that old saying: Bondage Equals Boxoffice. :)

Right on, Greyman! But to say that damsels were bound and gagged on a regular basis in Charlie's Angels is more than a bit of exaggeration. Rather it is nothing short of fiction.

Sounds like a nice scene. For me, there's nothing quite like a B&G'd damsel in knee-length boots. That is one reason why I liked the Dixie Seatle scene on the 80's show Adderly. From IIRC, she sported a nice, white cleave gag and knee-high black boots.

Point Blank (1967) on Monday, July 14 (TCM; 8PM ET)
The TV Guide magazine July 12-18 issue, page 47 has a small B&W photo captioned "[Lee] Marvin gets mean with Sharon Acker in 'Point Blank'". The photo shows thief Marvin holding Acker (as a brunette) in a hand-gag with his left hand, handgun in his right hand.

The scene is not listed in the database.

I believe the OTM gag was leather belt from her jacket.

It's funny this show should come up. One of the regulars on the show, Naomie Harris (who I believe also had a scene), is now starring in "28 Days Later".

Another popular fiction is that Daphne from Scooby Doo got tied up on a regular basis, or that she's a common "damsel in distress". I see it all the time - references to her "constantly getting tied up", and such. She only got tied up, like what, 3 times? My Cartoon Capture List (http://www2.superstories.net/cartooncapture/bd-carx.txt) lists only 3 B&G scenes for Daphne, all of which I remember actually seeing.

Very common in France (and probably Louisiana, too), being the feminine equivalent of Laurent.

lemme see
1. the "mask mixup" one where she's b & g in the backseat then just bound in the room.
2. the witch one where she's b&G under a sheet that is removed
3. the sandy duncan movie one (hands behind)
4. the closet in the cabin by the big Insect dude (hands & feet)
5 the one where she's tied seated to a post (no gag & no legs)
thats all I can remember...
any other takers?
not counting being chained wiff the rest of the gang or the new scooby scene

movie "The Quickie"
Has anyone seen the 'I believe' a straight to video movie starring Jennifer Jason Leigh.
The back cover that shows Highlites of the movie has one scene that has a blond woman (with back to the camera) and her hands are tied behind her back and two guys standing over her, nothing else. Anything of interest.
PS I take it nothing in Terminator 3.
Well that's 0 for 2 this summer. (Charlies Angels, and Terminator)

She was actually just gagged, but unbound.

> 3. the sandy duncan movie one (hands behind)

The New Scooby Doo Movies...I don't know if I should include them or not. If so, then that's 4 scenes.

The other 3 are the ones I remember. So either way, out of 13 episodes in the original Scooby cartoon, over 30 (I don't know how many) in the second one, and the other spinoffs (not the ones that are way out there, such as The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo) as well, Daphne got tied up very little. So much for "Danger-prone Daphne".

Doubtful. More likely they overmarketed the T&A and didn't give enough reasons for the girls who drove the box office of the first flick to come to the second.

This is hardly scientific or anything, but my wife and I were watching the trailer for the Charlie's Angel's movie, and our response was, "If they can't even make an interesting trailer from the movie, the movie itself has got to suck BIG TIME."

I wonder if a lot of other people didn't reach that same conclusion.

In short, bad marketing, not lack of DiD scenes. Though a photogenic DiD scene would probably have livened up the trailer, so maybe there's a slight link.

I stand corrected. Five scenes. Six if you count the one from "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo", and seven if you include "A Pup Named Scooby Doo". Not a whole lot though, considering how long her career spans. If anyone knows of any more Daphne scenes (or heck, any Velma scenes besides the "chained to a log" one), let me know!
