I do Van! Ms. Paltrow is one of those girls I've been waiting on for some time now to get the treatment. :-)

Nash Bridges
I just watched an episode of "Nash Bridges" that featured a bound and gagged damsel in distress and isn't mentioned in the Scene Database.
The plot concerns a mentally unbalanced and delusional man who is impersonating a motorcycle cop in San Francisco. Within the final ten minutes of the episode, he pulls over a car with two young men and a very good-looking blonde, and convinces the blonde to let him give her a ride home on the motorcycle. She is subsequently discovered bound and gagged in the trunk of her car by a genuine police officer.
The scene is very brief; she is shown lying unconscious in the trunk, with her hands tied in front and a blue cleave gag in her mouth.
Can anyone identify this episode?

Good point, except...

Anyone ever try a casual inventory to figure out how many of your favorite scenes were the sort of thing you could have predicted in advance (i.e., TV Guide says something like "Lois Lane once more pokes her pretty nose in where it doesn't belong..."), and how many came more or less out of the blue (For me, neither "The Baby" or "Old Dracula", two of my alltime faves, would have seemed likely candidates based on a casual summation of the plots).

I guess my point (If there is one) is that the road to great DID is often paved over many times with missed opportunities, only to be balanced out by the ones that turned out to be pleasant surprises.

I wholeheartedly concur, with the note that this film sounds like it's going to be pretty interesting (and a lot of fun) no matter what.

I thought that link might be interesting, I found it kind of funny. It's tough to describe it without spoiling the point of it, so I'll just say if you follow the link there's a picture of a girl chained to a post. :)

New Site w/ Another World Caps
Just posting to let all of you know I am working on a new site with my own caps. Nothing too "hard to find" but hopefully I can fill in a gap somewhere.

Right now I only have caps of Nancy Frangione's "Another World" scene (white tape gag), and Alicia Leigh Willis' recent "General Hospital" scene (white cloth cleave) but I will be adding more caps in the next few days.

Thanks and enjoy!

Excellent - a LOT of sites have gone by the wayside over the years and it's good to see new input...good luck, but be forewarned - LOTS of work with little positive feedback..!!

"Wonder Woman" movie
Could these people possibly have any idea what they're in for...?

WB has opened a site for the "Wonder Woman" movie... and they are soliciting ideas for actresses, costumes, scenes, storyboards, etc.

http://www.wonderwoman-themovie.com

The mind boggles to imagine the sorts of things they'll get.

They're pretty clear about two things:

1. No porn (which I am guessing they would define as including anything on topic for this page, but who knows).

2. Anything you send, they own.

So, while I wouldn't send them any ideas or artwork you actually care about, it might be fun to see if we can't get the odd tasteful "WW in trouble" scenario posted (shades of "Asian Avenue"!). I'll certainly give it a shot.

On the subject of remakes...
It appears a new series is being made of "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons", with computer animation replacing the old puppetry.

More "grown-up" storylines are promised, and the Captain has girlfriends. There just may be some potential here, considering Destiny Angel's shackles and tapegag scene all those years ago!

Hey, we can hope, can't we? Wonder if they want a consultant...

Here we go again! *Shame* on you Jeb, shame, shame I say!!! :-) Damsel-in-Distress ain't porn unless nudity & sex is involved. The only time porn gets discussed here is when Mr. Moderator stomps on it with both boots.

Now, regarding suggestions to the site: *EVERYBODY* who posts here should post a note suggesting they make FULL USE of WW's lasso. We should use different language, like "magic lasso," "gold rope," "magic rope," "Amazon lasso," etc., so they won't smell a rat. :-) We should also use phrases like "damsel in distress," "capture & escape," etc. ABOVE ALL, we whould suggest they go back to the EARLIEST COMICS of WW for inspiration.

Any other suggestions for what we should say?

Dragnet "Homicide DR 22"
Another cap/clip set from Jay L's tapes. I feel it's only fair to warn everyone that the victim in this scene is deceased; the good news is that one can't tell this from the caps.

Could that possibly be because I can't do anything about
them until I see them? I do have a job and life and
stuff like that.

Re: Toaster Talking
Hmmm... that would sort of imply that there are a lot of tie-ups on Red Dwarf... which, if I'm not mistaken, is out on DVD these days.

Nothing in the DB (that I could find). Anyone know if Red Dwarf has a lot of scene-age?

Negative. I believe that scene is from season 7 (which I haven't seen). It may well be the first scene of interest; I can't recall so much as a handgag in seasons 1-6.

Very nice site so far Dave. I really like all of the descriptions you give for the scenes. Its always great when someone makes a new site since many have come and gone over the years. Keep up the good work and try to link with some other sites so more people can find out about it. Many times I find really cool sites but they're not linked to many others so they are very easy to miss.

Even though this Dragnet scene and the movie Dragnet 68/69 were created much later, they both seem to have a heavy Willie/Klaw influence. One of the only mainstream TV/Film shows that does, as far as I can see; as opposed to the Avengers, which really broke the mold and created their own style.

Umm...I suppose that IS a possibility as to why they were allowed to remain as long as they did...however, I meant that you were being pretty lenient about letting the thread continue for as long as you did, considering it was kinda off-topic..I certainly didn't CARE that they were being posted or allowed to remain ("hey I have an idea...let's take a statement and be sure to look at it in its worst possible light"!)
Brian, everything posted here isn't a dig at you not doing a fine job moderating this page.

Suuuuure you do. Based on your typical response time, I refuse to believe it.

Could The Moderator/Brian R be The Narrator/Tyler Durden? Be afraid.
