This is what the "Soap Previews" in Monday's edition of my local paper says about "Guiding Light" this week.

"Mitch took Cassie hostage after Ross told him that Ben identified Mitch as his assailant, and he was accused of being the Springfield killer."

Besides being a run-on sentence, it sounds very promising. Stay tuned to CBS Daytime

Cassie is played the lovely Laura Wright, long overdue for something....anything.

Lynda Carter scene
Anyone recall a scene, most likely a tv movie, that had Lynda tied arms behind back, on the floor of her kitchen; villain has an oxygen mask over her nose that he alternates with "gas", coercing her to give up info of some sort?

Biography- Bridget Bardot
Toward the end of this bio of Bardot they showed what I
think was a still of her in bondage from a seventies film.
I was wondering if anyone who saw it could identify the film. She was laying on the ground in a cute outfit and was tied hands in front with her feet tied as well.

I think it was called The Last Song

Hi
I asked similar question in this forum (2000).

Answer: apparently the biography DID scene is a mistake. The DID is NOT Bridget Bardot, but another beautiful actress (on the same movie).

Unfortunately I cann't confirm this matter.

Yes that was it --- think it was from the (mid?) 1970's... the movie used to show up on TNT/TBS often. Have never seen it being released on video though. It is a very good 1 or 2 minute scene, IMO.

Maude Adams
She'll be seen tomorrow tied up in 'Octopussy' but wasn't she also tied up in the movie 'Tattoo' with Bruce Dern?

Late-breaking alert
Just noticed that Mike Hammer, Private Eye "Halloween" is airing *tonight* at 6 PST on Mystery. It's a minor classic, IMHO: while it's fairly short and lacking in closeups, one has to give the villain bonus points for stripping Ms. Whirry down to her bra just for the heck of it. ;)

I've added an alert, and I'm definitely looking forward to grabbing a better cap/clip than were possible with my crappy VHS copy (see below). Check out the "before and after" coming soon...

...I must agree that the scene is at least a minor classic, particularly in that Ms. W. is also attired in her schoolgirl 'Halloween costume' consisting of a short plaid skirt, white socks & black shoes. The producers decided to cover quite the spectrum, no? On the negative side, I'm afraid you may not be able to improve much on your 'crappy VHS copy'. I've seen the episode twice, and both times I felt the scene of interest was grainy and poorly lit. Ah well, can't have it all, ehhh?

Re: MI-5
MI-5 I think is the British FBI or it's CIA.

FYI, it's more like the NSA, gathering intelligence on possible security threats within the UK. Our CIA equivalent, dealing with threats abroad, is M.I.6.

Neither has any powers of arrest or detention, that being the job of the police Special Branch.

So far we don't have an FBI, but there are plans to create such a service by pooling detectives from the various local police forces.

Looks like the bondage imagery was supposed to make up for the fact that Frankie Avalon is in the flick.

Plenty of bondage with both Bardot and Moreau in "Viva Maria!" if that's the movie in question. However the term "cute outfit" suggests it isn't, since "Viva Maria!" was a period piece.

"Momentum" on Sci-fi Channel
Hey vatos,

I just caught a commercial for original Sci-fi Channel feature film called "Momentum". It's about a telekinitic guy who has a moral dilemma to use his powers for good or evil. The premise sounds promising as there is also a telekinitic bad guy who wants to force the hero to use his powers for his own evil schemes. Anyways, the movie also stars Teri Hatcher, our damsel who just keeps on giving. So just keep on an eye on this when it premieres.

"The Counterfeit Caper"
This is a "young detectives" type story (at a sort of Christian-family values site). The story is read aloud (in real media format) by the (female) author, and this chapter begins with the plucky young girl detective bound and gagged. The author describes her plight, and even does a bit of "mmph"-ing in character. Later in the chapter, after she's freed, the character relates the details of her capture.

Here's the link:

Fascinating! Fans of Franco Saudelli's "La Bionda" will find the *EXACT* pose that Mademoiselle Bardot effects in the row 1, column 1 image below in the first image of the 9th panel of "Colpo Doppio" ("Double Cross.") (The slim nurse is on the phone with Miss Milly.) That pose must be iconic (*especially* for "foot people.") One can see why. :-)

I find my cough returning. Always check the database
first before asking such questions.

Record number: 1160

Title: Last Song, The (1980)
Medium: TV Movie
Actress: Lynda Carter

Description: Lynda is forced onto a kitchen floor. I believe hands are tied in back of her, and a clear gas mask is placed over her mouth. The bad guy shows her he can give her "life"--he makes oxygen flow--or "death"--he makes a poisonous gas flow. Then he interrogates her about a missing tape. Lots of great mmmphing from a Hall of Famer.

I'm visualizing the production of a Brian's Page twist to a new Campbell's soup TV commercial ("Uhmmm! Uhmmm! Good!).

FBI Files
The show "FBI Files" airing at 10 pm EST on Discovery Channel has three cute teens bound at wrist and ankles early on. Extensive scenes. No gags as yet, but one gal remains kidnapped so may be some upcoming.
