she was alot older but still looking good and some one had her tied, hands behind back sitting in an overstuffed chair with a black silk cleave and she was trying to holler up a storm, through that darn gag..it was quickly removed..the funny part was I was in the other room at first and recognized the "mmmmmphing" to be her from the avengers..

One Life to Live
In addition to the preview of Jessica gagged for Friday, Thursday's episode also featured Jessica getting cholroformed before the scene, plus an added bonus of Jen(Rebecca Morris) running around in pink lingerie.

This Mitch Lawrence character is the best thing to ever hit soaps. Even when he's not tying and gagging his damsels, his enemies are luring people close to him and doing the same. I think this is the same character who tied and gagged one of the Cassies on OLTL in the late 1980s when he ran a religious cult, and the same actor tied and gagged a stunning beauty on "Another World" in the early 1990s when he moved his tack over there. I can't remember her name, but he had her locked the attic and cleave-gagged for several episodes.

Guys,
I've said it before and I'll say it again--"Mitch Lawrence for President!" Long live Mitch!

That is a wonderful story. I have always been a huge LT fan. To me, she is one of the all time best damsels in distres ever to appear in the media. I had no idea this scene existed. Thanks for sharing that.

Tight cleaves
I saw a scene on one of Fuzz's tapes that qualifies as one of the nicest tightest I've ever seen. Its a Soap scene witht that girl "Felicia' and another girl (cute as hell) tied back to back. Their gags are somehow connected it seems and when the villain ties Felicia's on TIGHT, she gurgles and mmphs deliciously. As the other girl struggles, the gag just seems to get tighter. All time classic IMHO

Law & Order SVU possibility
I haven't seen this one mentioned yet. The episode for tonight is supposed to be about a kidnapped girl who is returned to her family. The chances of a scene are low, but you never know. I also posted this to VCR alerts.

Re: Bad Girls
Review by Jane Rackham, Radio Times, begins: "Millions of usually sensible people are already rubbing their hands together in glee at the prospect of the return of this tacky prison drama."

Last sentence: "Just remember, it's all nonsense and should never, ever be taken seriously."

It's pure fantasy soap, folks.

Re: Bad Girls
I have to say I missed the show, but the pic in Radio Times shows "Shell" being escorted by two "screws", wearing an open shaggy-collared coat over a lacy top that covers little of her ample chest, and hardly leaves the rest to the imagination. As this is her clubbing outfit, there is possibly a short skirt, too. The bit gag traps her long red hair, and she looks ANNOYED!

I'd say that she isn't shot but rather has rushed to help the guy. Of course it seems like she may have been plugged.

When Poppy was B&G in Glory Days, the first shot of her from behind showed her hands tied with palms facing each other. When next shown, her wrists are crossed. It must have been a long shoot for her tied up.

The missing woman must be bound and gagged somewhere since the thug is holding everyone else hostage. The problem with these shows is, if there is a seen, it usually the 2-second rescue scene where you don't see anything.

I also think Poppy also has a thing for the color black. In "Glory Days," she was bound and gagged in that black dress and wore that color constantly in the dozen or so episodes, and she picked right up where she left off in "Without a Trace," wearing black pants, shirts, etc. all the time, including the black tank-top in this 2-parter. They also had a line earlier this season where the head FBI guy says after being asked by Poppy why he stayed in the office all night in the same suit, he said "If I looked as good as you do in black I wouldn't have to worry about it."

Soap previews
Following the lead of the ABC soaps, Days of our Lives and As the World Turns are now showing previews at the end of each episode.

After Jessica's bound and gagged scene on OLTL today, I just happened to flick over to ...World Turns and saw a preview for Monday's show in which Molly is suprised from behind and handgagged--great mmmmmmmmpphing and bulged out eyes!!

Not sure if it will turn into anything, but great for handgag fans.

Bree Williamson does an awesome job here in her short scene. Great struggling, mmpphhing and protesting. Also, what a pair of eyes on this girl. Check out how her eyes widen in the closeup. Great stuff.

We also often complain when soap storylines clearly call for a gag and none come (Greenlee's two tie-ups on AMC come to mind), but this was one sequence when the gag wasn't really necessary and yet it was used. Dorian could have easily just handgagged Jessica during the quick call to Mitch and they held her in an abandoned building, so no need to gag her there.

Also, there is a new PAX movie from 8-10 tonight with Cynthia Gibb called "Crime of Passion." Some type of mystery but the description at least provides some hope for a scene.

Re: Tight cleaves
A contender for one of the best double ties, but probably lots of actresses solo with a better cleave - my vote remains with Honor Blackman - the Avengers

Re: Bad Girls

It certainly was a good start Pat.
The series is obviously pure hokum but this must be the third gag scene now that I can recall in this series (I think this is now series 5). One involved the very same Debra Stephenson who, whilst on the run, held a prison officer hostage in her own home as revenge and had the 'screw' briefly bound and tape gagged in a cupboard. The officer concerned is in her fifties and not particularly attractive.
The other scene was a better looking, but not stunning, officer left bound and OTM gagged by some prisoners in a plotline I can't recall. Tape and cloth OTM - conventional, hence my amazement at the bit gag treatment.

Cynthia is overdue for a B&G scene. Biggest ripoff was the end of the movie "Jack's Back" where she should have been B&G but the direcor opted for a ridiculous indoor chase scene instead (while she was scantily clad, no less).

Next week's TV Guide says that Jack (Anthony LaPaglia) hears a gunshot and that his worst fear comes true (or something like that).
In the last scene last night, Montgomery starts to run toward the two men as the shot rings out. The last visual is where she was standing, where she is no longer visible. The implication seems to be she was hit and is lying on the floor.

As I mentioned in my original post, the kidnaaper said he had a partner. We don't know if this is true or not. He also mentioned he had to call the partner before midnight in order for her to stay alive.
If it is, she may or may not be bound and gagged. If she, is there is a likelihood of a longer scene.
If there is no partner (my belief), she would definitely be tied up somewhere (from hints given, she must still be alive). The reference to the midnight call could mean some sort of death trap. Plot possibility: kidnapper is killed and they must figure out where the victim is, culminating in a race against time. This plot deivce often results in prolonged DiD scenes.
Here's hoping.

btw, the actress playing the victim received full treatment on a Walker episode (wife of the ex-con being threatened by his parole officer). She looks a bit older here, but just as nice as then.

Are there any examples of bit gags being used in the real world, outside of B&D "pony" scenarios? If not, then they are a choice made by directors or others in the filmmaking process, probably for visual effect--I'd guess it was to suggest brutality. Since moviemakers are willing to give us cleave gags made out of the thinnest silk, I don't think silencing efficiency is much on their minds. The film cliche is that anything tied in the mouth renders the person completely unable to speak. Guess it's supposed to press on some special nerves in the corners of the mouth...

IMO, an early contender for the "2003 Best DiD Actress", along with Sean Young in "Before I Say Goodbye". And it wasn't just a short scene, but continued a couple times (after commercial breaks and other storylines). Onscreen Gagging and Tape-gag smoothing, Mmphing, Straining against bonds, Great villainess lecturing, and Well-lit.

But the suspiciously smooth tape gag slopes up onto her nose, and only touches her face over about ten per cent of its area.
One for the Loosie folder, surely. It's a good 5mm clear at the bottom.

What a pity; just imagine this sweetie puffing and straining at a well-burnished piece of supple tape!
