Sunday February 16 00:05:24 2003 Find of a life-time |
Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know of a incredible find. I went into a Blockbuster video today and looked in their old previewed movies for sale. What did I find, but, a trove of DiD movies.
Gunblast Vodka with Angie Everhart, Midnight fear, Arthurs quest , and How to catch a Yeti, with Leigh Lewis. I was tickled pink to add these videos to my collection. All for under 15 dollars total. So, you never know where you will find these little treasures. |

Sunday February 16 01:02:14 2003 Re: Sabado Gigante |
There was the time (about a year ago?) when host Don Francisco restrained that wacky woman that comes out and always irrates him. She's older and dresses in this loud pink outfit. I only caught a brief glimpse of it (since there was a room full of people and I didn't have control of the remote). She was tied (hands behind the back) and cleave gagged (it was thick and kinda loose). It was all played for laughs, of course. So I casually hurried to another room to check it out on a different tv but by the time I tuned in it was over...but since then I've watched the show semi-regularly hoping one of those majorly hot chicas on the show will somehow end up the same way.

You might be disappointed when you see the scene. You don't get the straight-on angle of her gagged that they show on the box cover, only a closeup from a side angle. |

Most are military camouflage in color but a couple were black. I always thought they looked kind of kinky but they were just winter masks. I didn't see the scene so maybe this was a ligit gag but it could be that they were just trying to pass it off as one. |

Telemundo (or is it Telefutura?) also broadcasts a program called Aprieta y Gana which is basically a Mexican "battle of the sexes". On occasion there is a contest in which a woman's hands are bound behind her with what appears to be plastic tie-cuffs (ahh the Handi-Bundler) while she tries to remove some balls, which are adhered to some putz' body, with only her mouth. The premise is to see who can remove the most balls before the clock runs out. I've seen this once or twice, so its at least a semi-regular skit. |

> You mean it's gotten to the point where gorgeous Heather
> Locklear is "too old" to play "sexy reporter" (and the > like) roles? God does THAT make a person feel ancient! I don't think it is necessarily being ageist. Heather during her TJ Hooker days is probably my all time favourite gagged damsel - certainly in my top five - but that was when she had what I would call a natural unspoiled "girl next door" look. I was never so keen on her from the point where she took on powerful "bitch" type roles such as in Melrose Place where she also started dyeing her hair a very false blonde, and wearing several layers of make up (alright, I exaggerate a little). Yes, we have all aged, and I suppose it is the directors who are the cruel ones and probably tell an actress when she needs some cosmetic help for a glamourous part. I am just left to treasure the days of the unspoiled and gorgeous Stacy Sheridan! Incidentally, she was the same age when she appeared in Dynasty where she played a bitch character and I did not like her there either, so it is not all about age. The above is only my opinion and I accept it will not be shared by many, but you can't help what you find personally attractive. Finally, one thing else occurs about Lois Lane - isn't the character always a brunette? |

>>>>My vote is for Jennifer Connelly.<<<
Jennifer, while still good-looking, isn't quite the drop-dead, awesome, looker she was in say, The Rocketeer. Also, she's always played her characters as somewhat quiet and subdued; the exact polar-opposite of the Lois Lane character. Finally, she had breast-reduction surgery, which as a male I find morally reprehensible.<g> |

Sunday February 16 09:05:19 2003 Superman movie |
Any bondage involving Lois Lane in the upcoming movie will involve her being chained in a fish tank, which is rapidily filling with water, and a chunk of kyptonite chained to her.
At least this was in the draft of the script that was posted on Aint It Cool just before xmas. This was the same script that had Lex Luthor as an alien and matrix style fights which have apprently been changed (thank god). No mention of any gag but here's hoping. As Josh Harnett is "99.9% confirmed" as the man of steel, Lois will no doubt be a 20 something babe, not the 30+ career woman she is in the comics. I agree with Van that Selma Blair would make a great Lois (for us anyway) but I have my fingers crossed for her in Hellboy (she plays a FBI agent with telepathy). So in that case I say Julia Stiles come on down.... |

It looks like the WB is burning off two episodes of this
show on Wednesday 8 PM EST. The shows are titled "Feat of Clay" and "Devil's Eyes", and the local paper's TV guide gives this description: "Harley Quinn hypnotizes Helena and forces her to reveal the trio's secrets." <P> Ya suppose it'd be too much to hope that Quinn feels the need to restrain her in the process? ;-) |

She's always a brunette, but I don't see why it's necessary. I vote for Christina Ricci or Rose McGowan. They're both bodacious and they're both capable of playing bright & sassy. As for Connelly, she looked damn good naked and sweaty in "Requeim" so I think she's still in the running. Sorry about her breasts, though, but everyone knows large-breasted women don't get Oscar nods. |

> > > > She's always a brunette, but I don't see why it's necessary. > >...They're both bodacious and they're both capable of playing bright & sassy...but everyone knows large-breasted women don't get Oscar nods. ---------- Lois Lane is drawn as a brunette in the DC Comics, but Lois' hair color is a minor point in my mind (however, Lana Lang SHOULD be a redhead). Besides, actresses can always change their hair color for a role. Blonde icon Gwyneth Paltrow went brunette for Sliding Doors, and SMG went back to her natural brunette color for Cruel Intentions. Well, for bodacity + talent, how about Salma Hayek? She's a leading Oscar candidate for "Frida", and played bright & sassy a number of times. Not to mention, she only has one (non-Gag) scene for "Hunchback". Sheesh! There's no reason why Lois Lane can't be Mexican. I kinda imagine that a newspaper staff in 2003 Metropolis would have SOME ethnic diversity. This is one area (in addition to gender diversity in the Daily Planet editor role) that there could be some variance from the 1940's DC Comics + the 1950's Supermman TV series and the 1980's movies. Of course, if Superman is going to be an age 24 Josh Harnett, that might strike Hayek (and Sandra Bullock, my 1st choice). On the other hand, there's no reason in 2003 why Clark Kent couldn't fancy a sophisticated "older" woman. This is another modern variance that would not have been seen in 1940's comics, but is common enough today. |

(They are ultimately the ones paying the bills.) It isn't necessarily narrow minded to prefer the familiar. And it isn't necessarily broad minded to want something different only for its own sake. > Besides, last time I noticed, Dutch-Chinese Kristin > Kruek's fanbase was pretty strong as "Smallville"'s Lana > Lang So what? The public doesn't care about Lana Lang...Lois is the big character, the name...not Lana Lang. Any Superboy series could almost be a tabula rasa...not so with Superman. |

So Im guessing as long as Spelling is alive and kicking, we will find our plunky little witches gettin into a series of ropes and gags before long Good things come to those that wait....my bet... some time in the next 6 episodes And six episodes later, Rose McGowan gets gagged. I never thought anyone would get gagged on this show again, and the scene will end a 66-episode drought since Shannen Doherty's brief scene in Season 2. The spoiler site says "Phoebe yanks her gag off," so likely not tape. I'm still in shock that this is coming. Pat also was confident something would come eventually. Good predictions on their part. During the last revamping of DC continuity they actualy made the pair younger and hipper. Lois became more of a fast rising highly talented reporter who was destined for greatness rather than the seaoned vet. I would prefer to see this version of Superman done and that leaves the door open for a lot of younger talent. Katie Holmes springs to mind as a good canidate for a recent colege graduate on the fast track to success and I'm sure none of you would mind seeing her in a DID situation! |

Sunday February 16 17:50:47 2003 Re: Superman/ Lois Lane casting |
Interesting discussion! I have some additional thoughts. It seems to me that most of you guys are looking for a thirty-something Lois Lane, which is understandable. Making Lois thirty-something would likely rule out Heather Locklear and a number of my other suggestions. For this reason, I have revised my suggestions for Lois, but have kept my idea for a female editor amd a young female reporter to replace the Jimmy Olson character. I will refer to that character as "Lucy Olson", and to the editor chractor as "Penny White", just for the purpose of this post. I have also included comments on some of the other Lois suggestions:
For the role of editor Penny White: Heather Locklear, Michelle Peiffer, Meg Ryan, Kim Cattral, Carol Alt (who is now working as a TV reporter in New York), Catherine Oxenberg, Cheryl Ladd, Demi Moore, and possibly Sandra Bullock or Brooke Shields For the role of Lois Lane: My nominations: Jennifer Aniston (a first time full treatment possibility) Sandra Bullock (a sentimental favorite) Jennifer Connelly (a leading candidate) Courtney Cox (has some support) Kristin Davis (probable long shot) Cameron Diaz (an interesting possibility) Salma Hayek (another interesting possibility) Catherine Zeta-Jones (a show stopper) Other candidates: Selma Blair (probably too young) Lara Flynn Boyle (has no support here) Rose McGowan (probably too young) Liz Vassey (probably too young) For the hot young reporter Lucy Olson: Jordana Brewster (a very good choice) Katie Holmes (an excellent suggestion) Jennifer Love Hewitt (could be perfect) Christina Ricci (too young for Lois, but fine for Lucy) |

-------- IMDB.com lists the Movies, TV series, and Guest star appearances on TV series by Actors and actresses, as well as their Birthdate. E.g., IMDB.com does not list Lauren Bush with any acting credits; and Rose McGowan is 29 years old (which would fit with the "conventional" casting range for Lois Lane). |

That's what I thought, too, when I saw this movie! As I recall, you see the heroine and the baddie face to face, from the side, in a medium close-up. The baddie says something like, "I've been wanting to do this for long time!" and you hear "RRIP!" And I thought, "My god, he's gonna rip her clothes off and take caddish advantage of her right before our eyes!" And then he plasters a strip of duct tape over her mouth. It's shock-titillation followed by relief + bondage-surprise, AND I LIKED IT!!!! |

My idea: 25-30 yrs old: M. Bialik (from Blossom), Mellisa Joan Hart (Sabrina), Kellie Martin (Life Goes On), Amanda Peet. For reporters 35 yrs old: Kylie Minogue.
For senior editor: 40 yrs old: Jodie Foster. BTW Is this new movie financed by group of investors? Perhaps the investor can suggest name of actress for casting process. |

I've posted images of the same size on several other occasions without any indication that there was anything wrong with it. Those posts are still on the site. There is no "common sense" when it comes to posting images on the Internet. Many sites have images much larger than this, and my own site consists almost exclusively of images this size. If a certain image size offends you, you must have your own personal reasons for feeling that way, but until they develop a way for us to read your mind, you have to tell us what the rules are. It's very frustrating to participate on a forum when you have no way of knowing whether any given post on any given day is going to be rejected for unforseeable reasons. |

You're expecting continuity in a show about seven people stranded on an island who, in spite of the fact that they can apparently build huts, tables, chairs, even a working RECORD PLAYER, can't fix a 3-foot wide hole in an otherwise intact boat? :-) |
