Wednesday January 08 00:22:32 2003 While the G-MaN is away... |
Thanks for the possible heads up, Zinger. And don't worry I'll have two VCRs and a few free GBs on my computer burning away while we're gone. One of the VCRs is for the TV series we watch regardless of bondage (but I just happen to enjoy "John Doe".<g>)
With any luck, I'll have a dozen brand new clips when we get back. |

I'd say there's a fairly good chance that this show will produce at least a tie up (or cuffing) for Wendy this season. Of course that could just be wishful thinking on my part. |

I went right past the pissed off policewoman at the end of the show, but you're right, that would be a good angle. The policewoman, who they already have indicated is off the wall, has a perfect setup as a cop to grab Wendy anytime, anywhere, especially with the stalker angle. Now I have to keep watching. |

Wednesday January 08 06:38:18 2003 Lumley, Sewer |
IIRC the "New Avenger"'s DID scene occur inside a tunnel / sewer. The villain bound and gagged Purdey as a bait. Steed rescue Purdey (Lumley) and remove the fruit gag from her mouth. Is this the scene mentioned on the interview?

Of course, she could go after HIM and we wind up with another putz scene. That does seem to be the case more often these days. Sorry to spoil all your fantasies. |

...so many possibilities.
Not that I'm getting my hopes up -- especially because, if the First wants to use one or more Scoobies to get to the rest, it's probably better off just killing them and inhabiting their bodies as it did this week. Still, the show's had a good enough track record that you just never know... |

What do you consider to be the best scenes involving middle-aged actresses?
Since Jamie King just joined the troops of ex-models in bondage, in what order would you rank former models DiD scenes? Which currently well-known actresses do you think had the best DiD scenes before they became stars? |

I looked throught the Avengers book a while ago and it has small B&G pics of Diana Rigg from 'The Bird Who Knew Too Much' & Honor Blackman from 'The Medicine Men' (OTM gag) as well as Linda Thorson handgagged in 'Getaway'. I doubt the fruit gag would cause a split lip but I could be wrong. |

The "Comics2Film" site has posted a 20th Century Fox publicity still from the currently-in-production *League of Extraordinary Gentlemen*, giving us the first real look at Peta Wilson as Mina (...first look for *me*, anyhow.) The URL leads to a big uncropped version.
There's no indication at this time that Mina (Peta) will have a DiD-scene in LXG... but we can dream, can't we??? :-) |

Unless the "Crossing Jordan" writers suddenly move to CBS, I think we're safe with Wendy as the target. Hopefully. Also, last two episodes of "Birds of Prey" air back-to-back tonight, then it's gone forever. Might be a good idea to record them just in case something develops. The descriptions hold some promise for each epiosde. |

Couldn't really come up with much for middle-age, which in this case, I'd take for over 40. Maybe Cheryl Ladd in "One West Wakiki." That scene wasn't that great, but it WAS Cheryl Ladd. Elizabeth Montgomery's scene with a red-headed sidekick in a CBS movie from the early 1990s was a good scene as they struggled on the floor and hopped around to reach the phone. Models: Kathy Ireland, Kathy Ireland and Kathy Ireland. Before they were stars: Debra Messing. If we count Heather Locklear, who was starring in two shows early in her career, I'd add her name to this list. |

Wednesday January 08 16:22:46 2003 Lexx: bad craziness! |
I just noticed that the infamous "P4X" episode of Lexx (4-03) is airing late tonight, so I'll post an alert.
But what else do I see? All the hype about this scene when it first aired, and it's *not in the database*? Shame on us! I'll actually be seeing this scene for the first time tonight, but the e-zine entry seems descriptive enough that I can just copy it to the DB. Remember, though, folks: more DB entries = more alerts = more chances for everyone to catch the scenes they've missed. |

The redhead was very attractive, especially rolling around on the floor. It was more the combo scene than anything else. I did say I was reaching for a scene for over-40s. It's not a favorite. I also was going to include Kate Jackson's white tape-gag scene from "Scarecrow" but she was probably in her mid-30s when that was filmed, so I didn't include it. |

>> Elizabeth Montgomery's scene with a
> > red-headed sidekick in a CBS movie from the early 1990s > You serious? Liz aged pretty badly Speaking of Liz's (Lizzies?), Elizabeth Taylor in "X, Y and Zee." She was starting to go to seed, but not too far, and her hands were really tied. And it *was* Elizabeth Taylor. (Will we be saying things like that 20 year from now about Jennifer Anniston or Kristin Kreuk?) The dialog was pretty cool, too: "No, (don't untie me) I like it like that." Also (showing my age here), Ida Lupino made hundreds of movies, but most often played the bad girl, so nothing ever happened. Then in the 60s or so--and her 60s too, I'd guess--she got a thick cleave gag in some TV movie. She still looked pretty good, and it *was* Ida Lupino. And June Allyson, once "America's Sweetheart" handcuffed in "They Only Kill Their Masters." Not much of a scene, and she was fading, but at least it got her on the list. |

Wednesday January 08 17:34:29 2003 Re: Three Questions |
> What do you consider to be the best scenes involving

Depends on the definition-- both of Jane Seymour's B & G scenes came when she was... well, no longer a starlet.. and they're pretty darn good. > Which currently well-known actresses do you think had the > best DiD scenes before they became stars? Well, again, depends on your definitions-- Cameron Diaz certainly wasn't a "star" when she made "The Mask" or "Head Above Water" (granted the "Mask" scene wasn't much, but "Head Above Water" is a classic, IMHO). And while she was nominally the star of "A Life Less Ordinary", she was still a ways from her breakthrough. I'd agree Pfeiffer's "pre-stardom" scenes were good ones. Might also cast a vote for Demi Moore, since she had the nice extended one on "General Hospital". |

Wednesday January 08 17:37:46 2003 "Terminal" |
The C.H.U.D. movie website has a review today of the DVD release of the TV-movie, "Terminal", with a nice 'cap of Khandi Alexander's scene (can't recall if this one came up during the recent discussion of scenes with black actresses, but it appears to be a nice one). |

Wednesday January 08 17:46:30 2003 Re: "Terminal" |
Actually reading through the DVD review I mentioned above, there is this cute bit at the end, describing the cover of the DVD box:
"[The cover shows] A picture of the eyes of an “evil” doctor and a syringe, neither of which figure into the film in the least. It’s kind of like those Marvel Comics covers of the 70’s that always had a scantily clad damsel in distress on the cover, and you’d see Iron Fist or Shang-Chi in front of her trying to fend off some mega badguy with a word bubble to the effect of “If I can’t defeat this fiend with my channeled chi, we’re both doomed!” Then you’d buy the issue, and she was nowhere to be found inside. Ok, well this cover isn’t really like that, but I would have liked this better if they used that type of cover to promote this DVD." Personally, I think that kind of illustration ought to be part of Marketing 101, but what do I know? |

Birds of Prey has two episodes un-aired . These episodes are currently filming. I would imagine the WB will burn these episodes off in March or April. |

A british show with a very hot blond 9 30 something"in a white skirt and black top with buttons, tightly cleave gagged and tied to a chair with a shot gun booby trap on her. |

Jennifer Beals was in "4 Rooms".
------- Four Rooms was also about after a decade after Beals' breakout in "Flashdance". Beals was not a model, but a genuine Ivy League student (Yale or Harvard, I believe). |

I did say I was reaching for a scene for over-40s. It's not a favorite. ---------------- To be fair, I'd have to say that Elizabeth Montgomery didn't look bad at all considering she was age 59(!) at the time, with the exception of the unflattering hairstyle. The "combo" scene did include excellent struggling/escape attempt work by both actresses, plus gag-talk between them. |

I think Elizabeth Montgomery aged fine. I agree with others here that she could have had a better hairstyle in that scene. However, I think it's a great scene with some excellent close-ups. I love white over-the-mouth gags! |

Brittany is quoted so there probably won't be a gag or it will only be very quick. It said nothing to indicate if she will be tied or not. She was not mentioned as fighting like the others were so maybe her hands will be tied. |

Very quick duct tape gag scene at the end of tonight's Twilight Zone on UPN. Aborted abduction attempt. Cute brunette gets gagged, but stuns her attacker and removes her gag. One MMMMMPH. |

> 1) What do you consider to be the best scenes involving middle-aged actresses?
> If one defines "Middle-aged" as 40 and over, I might also go with Cheryl Ladd in "One West Waikiki". A damsel long on the full-treatment Wish-List, some of the most memorable rescuer gloating ("I don't know, I kinda like you like this!") and declination to remove her gag, and mmphing by Ladd. Jane Seymour's scenes in "Memories of Midnight" (1991) and "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" also represented a Wish-lister. She was hardly an ex-starlet at the time: she was still the "Queen of the Mini-series" for the former, and because the latter was a long-running primetime network TV series, by being the title character by definition kept her in the "A-list" among TV actresses. And IMHO, Ms. Seymour has to be one of today's most attractive actresses who've attained the half-century mark. -------------- > 2) in what order would you rank former models DiD scenes? > A favorite topic of mine. * Pamela Gidley * Kathy Ireland ("Gridlock") * Carol Alt * Cybill Shepherd ("Yellow Rose" scene) * Rachel Hunter ("Tripfall") * Jennifer O'Neill ("Cover Up") * Angie Everhart A special mention for Cindy Crawford. "Bodyguards" hasn't come out on VHS for North America, but the vidcaps made by several Brian's Pagers sure looked wonderful! -------------------- > Which currently well-known actresses do you think had the best DiD scenes before they became stars? > I'll also go with the General Hospital boat scenes, since the three b&g'd damsels not only included an ingenue Demi Moore, but also Janine Turner. Kim Basinger also had a nice b&g scene (with closeups and mmphing) in "Mother Lode". I don't think Heather Locklear's scenes in T.J. Hooker should qualify: She didn't receive the full-treatment till about the 3rd or 4th-season, when she was the first actress in Hollywood to be a series regular simultaneously in two long-running primetime network TV series (i.e., she was then already a star). |

Do you ever get the feeling certain video stores aim their collections directly at us? I found a store that has "Silent Night Deadly Night part 4" (Not the two preceding flicks), "House 2" (Not House 1), and DeathWish Four (minus part 2). They also have some of the more obscure titles, like "Terror at the Opera" So, they also have Sorority Slumber Party 2 (Not part one), which I haven't rented yet. Anybody know anything about it?
