Saturday January 25 00:57:35 2003 John Doe Potential Alert |
The promo for next week's John Doe indicated the show was about multiple kidnappings and showed what appeared to be a woman's face with a large chain in front of her, as if she's secured with it. Did anybody get a clearer sight of it. |

No. Was blinded for several hours after watching that brilliant writing crew on "Fastlane" tie up and tape gag not one, but two, males in separate scenes. Are they fricking kidding? |

On my computer, there is a front search screen to put in key words, with an option for "Advanced Search" - if I go in to that there only seems to be one box in which you can specify an exact full phrase, and I can not find anything in either screen that says "show all related pages". In order that some of the rest of us can replicate your search, where exactly do you put in the words "tied up" and "tvtome" - separate boxes or same one, leaving a gap? Do we actually have to put in the " " marks? In any case, thanks for the tip. |

---------- According to TV Guide magazine: Ad: "How Do You Create the Perfect Family?" The world's smartest investigator is chasing a maniac who's kidnapping them one at a time. Close-up: "Doe steps in as a friend when Frank is rattled by a case involving a teenager's kidnapping. The case is the latest in a series of abductions that includes a woman and two other children..." |

Saturday January 25 06:37:15 2003 Love Object |
This low budget movie produced by major producer Ed Pressman contained several DID scenes in a preview I saw. An attractive woman was bound and gagged standind up with arms tied apart. Main character binding someone in a bed with rope. Plot concerns female doll ordered over internet and whether it is comming to life. No release set yet but because of this producer odds are good. |

Are you > *NUTS???* :-) [Mr. Smiley Face] I have compared the pictue of Charisma in Van's post with caps for her scenes in Angel. I would have to agree that Charisma is still looking fine. One could argue that she looked a little better with the blond streaks in her hair in the scenes from the episode where she was enslaved in that strange world (Pyrea, I think), and gagged as a "chatty cow". But, IMHO, she looks a t least as good as she did in her other Angel scene, and hopefully she will have more full treatments to come. As to why she has not had more work, I think there are several factors. First, her best known work is on two syndicated TV series, which do not typically have the following that network series do. Second, her work has been in what are essetially supporting roles, which typically receive less attention than starting roles. Third, she is competing with many other young, talented and attractive actresses. Nevertheless, I am sure we will see her in another role soon. |

On the other hand she hasn't aged that much she still has the same face and body as before. I would have to say she's not as hot as she was on Buffy or in the beggining of Angel but anyone who thinks she has lost all apeal might wanna have thier eyes checked. |

Probably not the best rumor to be going around Hollywood if you want higher profile roles. |

"Angel" has been on the WB since it's beginning and in fact has a gauranteed pickup from UPN should the WB cancel it. That was part of UPN's "Buffy" deal several years back. |

I don't use Advanced Search. I just type it in in the box right there at the main page at http://www.google.com . The quotes DO have to be there. There's a difference between "tied up" and tied up. With quotes, it searches for the phrase "tied up". Without, it might find the word "tied" one place, and the word "up" somewhere miles away on the same page. To separate terms, they should be in separate quotes. I.e. "tied up" "tvtome". That way it searches for both phrases, but separately. And tvtome is actually a website name, but it will search the site itself if you specify the name. It's a very helpful feature. Finally, on the last page of search results, you'll see a message like "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 13 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included." Click on "repeat the search..." and it'll show you a LOT more - though you will also get repeats as well. |

It's not easy, especially when dealing with shows that have not been aired yet. Those brief show descriptions usually do not specify if anyone gets tied up. I will often search using words like "kidnapped" or "kidnapping", but even that is obviously not fool-proof. Sometimes a scene will appear even though the description of the show didn't indicate anything at all. I've found you have to give a kind of an "educated guess" as to whether or not a show will have a scene, always keeping in mind that you could be wrong. Like a lot of hobbies, this one often requires patience. |

No, it looks like Mr. Cooper was scheduled to be on at one point, but replaced with VIP just this week. (Search back on the discussion page for the anti-alert.) Too bad, I had hoped to see that one as well. Like I say, you have to be patient. :) |

Saturday January 25 15:17:23 2003 Goodbye Norma Jean and The Candy Snatchers |
"Goodbye Norma Jean". I've been looking for this one for a couple of years now, and I finally got it for my site. This was an excellent scene, I was surprised that it wasn't in the database. The director and cast reunited for a semi-sequel titled "Hush Hush Sweet Marilyn". Has anyone seen it and was there anything in this movie at all?
Also, I can get a copy of "The Candysnatchers". Ive read that this is an impossible to find film that is on a lot of people's holy grail lists, but the database description wasn't that detailed. I'll probably pick it up next week for my site, but before I get it Im curious whats the big deal with this movie? |

I don't want to see any more of this "have your eyes checked" and similar comments.
When dealing with human perception, there are a wide variety of tastes and opinions. That's why I don't like threads like this, no one changes anyone else's mind about what they like and it becomes divisive and disruptive. If there are any more personal remarks, I will declare the entire thing off-topic and can ALL existing posts. I hope this is CLEAR to everyone. |

Charisma.. hell... beautiful now.. knock your knickers off before.. It's a Guy Thing, guys.. long hair.. Honestly, how many of you like the damsel better with shorter hair then when it was longer?? Thats what I thought, LOL! Other than that, very few damsels from tv get invited into movies...They all wish.. very few get their wish.. Charisma is just one of many.. and who knows what she has even tried for... I'm still looking for a Joyce DeWitt gag scene.."Oh Lord, I thought Roper was your name!!" LOL.. okay.. I'm a sick young man!! |

It turned up on USA about ten years ago, the first time I had seen it anywhere. The first time they showed it the scene was there. They ran it again about four hours later and the scene was missing. |

I'm not sure, but it's funny how certain scenes gain almost legendary status over others. I have a copy of this film, and while the scene(s) are good, I could rattle off a dozen or so that are much better. Part of it could be that it contains are number of elements that a lot of us here like in DiD scenes. Susan Sennet plays a kidnapped schoolgirl (complete in uniform), is blindfolded, and stays B&Ged for the entire film. I think most of the intrigue comes from the scarcity of the film itself. There is something satisfying about tracking down hard to get scenes. Personality I love to get soap scenes because they are not readily available on the open market (plus usually higher quality than other mainstream). |

However, UPN and WB are relativley small networks that are not available in a number of TV markets, so these network's distribution of these shows is the functional equivalent of syndication. I should have made this point clearer. In addition, I think david knight's point is well taken. It is difficult for most TV actresses to cross over into movies. fianlly, I also agree with David's point concerning a damsel's hair length: longer is usually better. |

"Terror Among Us" is, debatably, the holy grail of mainstream bondage scenes and why? Because it wasn't just a scene..it was a movie that revolved around these women's bondage and torment. Yes the bondage is ok..but we've seen better in other, shorter, scenes which haven't achieved a similar status, at least in the eyes of many of us. Not saying its the only reason..and not saying anyone prefers quantity to quality..but I do think its one. |

Before video games, somewhere near the invention of the wheel, there were board games one of which was called "Spies a'Poppin'". The ad for this game featured a lovely blonde lass (and these were real actors not animation) who was tied to a chair and gagged. The premise was that unless the player shot the bad guy in time, the bad guy would detonate a bomb under the girl's chair. At least that's my recollection but there could be some decades-old scene creep. |

Saturday January 25 23:04:48 2003 Meet my folks |
Well, Meet my folks had its moments tonight if you like chest ropes strapped on for lie detectors (certainly the camera did). Ironically, earlier in the evening, during one of the dates, one of the girls, in lingerie, tied up the boy in question (of course, no other-way-around action!). This was actually alluded to by Mom ('you're into a scene I'm not comfortable with') as a reason she was not chosen! |
