How come "The Man Show" has never had an episode with a bound and gagged woman? You would think it would be right up their alley. |

> How come "The Man Show" has never had an episode with a

Three potential answers: 1) The Man Show is under a lot of scrutiny from hostile eyes -- a lot of women think it's a bastion of sexist piggery. Given all the guff they take for their unabashed male-type interest in women, they don't wanna hand their critics a new talking point with a bondage scene. 2) They're interested in being perceived as "regular guys" and they feel that while SOME guys may be interested in tying women up, REGULAR guys aren't. 3) They just haven't gotten around to it yet, which implies a certain disinterest in the topic on their part. I would tend to go for some kind of amalgam of explanation 2 and 3. |

I didnt' catch all of the ep, but it appeared to be the case that three different female characters were in bondage in three separate storylines -- three different reasons, right? Obviously there have been cases of mass bondage before, or cop shows where three different female characters might be cuffed in an investigation or a psycho might kidnap three different women. But that would be just one storyline. Has there been a TV show where three women were in bondage in three different storylines before? |

> Joanna Going in Columbo:"No Time to Die"
This scene takes some beating, really, as Joanna has to be one of the most gorgeous actresses ever. Also, she wakes up wearing a white tape gag (my favourite)and, in flashback, a hand, then a chloroform pad, is placed over her mouth and lastly there is some brilliant eye rolling as she passes out, which is all too rare. Just about as good as it gets... |

Wednesday January 15 13:03:56 2003 Thoughts on "24" |
Please don't get me wrong, I love "24" and it's added bonus they feature so many scenes, particularly with Nina and Kim being cuffed. My only complaint would be that they very seldom show the actresses bound. I wish they could show a close-up now and then of the characters arms being restrained by the rope and handcuffs. In the last show we knew Kate was tied up but there was only a brief shot of her actual hands tied when she was leaving the room. Minor complaint but I just wanted to vent. |

The Darlene Vogal scene mentioned in "Pacific Blue" is very good on all fronts. She's wearing a tight bicycle-cop outfit, black shorts, white shirt. Very underrated scene. Plus, it was one of Vogal's last episodes before leaving the show. I was surprised she turned up bound and gagged in one of her last episodes after several near misses in the first couple of seasons. Her career hasn't exactly taken off since, what with the gruesome scene in "CSI" last year in which she's in one quick scene, and shown gagged with duct tape being pulled out of the river. What a difference between the "Pacific Blue" scene. |

It seems these only -- amazingly -- turn up when it's vital for the character to be able to slip the cuffs from behind the back to the front (see Jennifer Lopez in "Out of Sight"). |
Wednesday January 15 16:21:34 2003 Macgyver scene |
Now that TVLand is airing Macgyver I was hoping to catch a scene I've been after for a long time. I checked the database and there's no description of the scene I'm looking for - maybe someone can help me out? The scene: a pretty brunette dressed in military garb (much like the actress in the Stargate pic that's been displayed here many times on this page) is tied hands behind (no gag). They show her standing on the side of a moving truck while bound and Mac somehow manages to save her. They were on opposite sides but towards the end became allies so she is taken hostage/prisoner for betrayal.
Does this ring a bell? I don't really expect any details on this episode but maybe someone remembers this one and can tell me if it's one of the earlier or later episodes. |

(what's your favorite scene). Anyway, first ones I thought of AREN'T easily available --- 1. Invasion of the Girl Snatchers 2. Incredible 2 Head Transplant (although it HAS shown up on TV - (AMC movie classics) - several times lately 3. Nightmare Inn 4. Midnight Fear 5. Il Vicino di Casa Otherwise (what is probably available): 1. Bound 2. The Abductors/Ginger/series 3. Deadly Lessons 4. Blind Witness 5. Kill Kill Overkill (Those are the FIRST ones I thought of... but, I'm sure some better ones were forgotten). For my question now... The DYNASTY scenes with Linda Evans were great, underrated scenes that went on for a long time. Dynasty is presently being rerun on Soapnet cable channel. Anyone know when/what season these scenes appeared on the show? Is Soapnet close to running them again? |

One described as head to toe rope like a mummy. Premise seems to be Blair Witch 2 copy, in that the kids know about the TCM legend as they dive through area. I hated the script; way too violent, no depth, nothing original. TCM, the original, is a great movie imho; saw the replay recently on IFC with director commentary; just great. |

Seems the point "dressed in military garb" is not true, but otherwise your scene description fits perfectly - this must be a unique situation in the series. See the link for some vidcaps. |

> Mini update is complete. An announcement on the site and
> scans from ROBIN'S HOODS & AS THE WORLD TURNS. Enjoy.... "Robin's Hoods" was a waste of a series. The show starred five hotties, including Linda Purl, who played the leader, but produced only one episode in which one of those hotties was bound and gagged. The four younger actresses were all incredibly beautiful, but only one, Claire Yarlett, was ever bound and gagged. This is pathetic, considering the premise of the show, which was four hotties snooping around in an attempt to apprehend criminals. I recall being frustrated nearly every week, when the hotties escaped being bound and gagged. The show lasted less than one season because of the stupidity of the writers and producers. Had they been a bit more streetwise and attuned to the desires of male viewers, they might've incorporated more scenes in which the hotties were bound and gagged. The show would've lasted at least three seasons if there were four or five episodes each season that included full treatment bondage for the female stars. |

> > Nothing on Smallville tonight (pretty good episode if
> you > > like the show though) they missed the absolute golden > > opportunity to have Lana B&G'd > > Could you elaborate on that? Last night's episode had a shape-changer as the "freak of the week" (their term for the guest character that Clark has to defeat). It started out as Lana's (Kristen Kreuk) boyfriend Whitney who had come home from the Marines. I think it needed to see the characters it changed into, because it changed into characters after having scenes with them several times. Anyway, at one point Whitney figured out "his" mother knew it really wasn't her son so he duct taped her to a chair and then taped her mouth on-screen when Clark showed up. They fought, he left, Clark freed the mother. Very short scene, woman in her late 40's or early 50's. Clark went snooping around and got knocked out. Whitney then got some rope and tied Clark's hands behind him. He left Clark with Lana's kryptonite necklace and headed off to find Lana. When next we see him, he's now in the form of Chloe (Alison Mack) and is in Lana's room. Lana was wearing just a bathrobe. Chloe acted kinda funny and at one point crept up behind Lana and lightly caressed her shoulders. It seemed like Lana knew it wasn't really Chloe. The scene ended (anticipation building here... what could be coming next???) Next time we see Lana she's in her diner and Clark walks in. I figured that since the freak wanted to kill Clark that he had changed into the form of Lana (and had to tie her up so she wouldn't show up too). But no, a minute later here comes the real Clark. The two fought and the real one won. Show over. What would've made perfect sense??? How about the guy tying and gagging Chloe before going out in public as her? He had no way to know if she would suddenly show up where he was. This wasn't critical to the plot, but certainly could have been done in the context of this plotline. But what made absolute sense for the plot was for the guy to tightly tie and gag Lana when he was pretending to be Chloe. He wanted to kill Clark. how best to do that? Pretend to be Clark? NO! Pretend to be Lana! Then try to kill Clark when he's completely off-guard. And the only way to be sure of no interference is to have Lana bound and gagged. And if somehow Clark figured out it wasn't really Lana, the guy would still have had Lana as a hostage. Instead, they tie up a putz and an older woman, leaving the two hotties unbound. Makes you wonder if the writers have ever read the comics. Heroes are supposed to save DAMSELS in distress. Why else would we need them? |

I loved the outfit Claire was wearing: orange sweater, white pants, with a nice grab, handgag and drag into the closet. Also rare was the bad guy tying her hands and feet with duct tape, yet cleave-gagging her with a cloth. I guess he had everything handy in that closet. Something went down on this show in mid-season because I remember Linda Purl left halfway through that first season and was replaced by Rick Springfield (really) for the last 6 to 8 episodes. I knew a second season wasn't coming. |

Based on the plot so far, I can't see any reason why they'd have Kate tied up again. It would make more sense for the terrorists to kill her if they ever see her again. They don't need a hostage. And she has no love interest to use her against. Kim is a total unknown. In an interview a few months ago she said she wasn't kidnapped again this year, but does that mean she won't be held captive? To me, those terms are different, so maybe they are to her too. She was last seen running off into the woods. Her boyfriend was headed for a local hospital, her dad was off to parts unknown, and the kid she was an au pair for was taken by child services, so what was there for her character to do? Only her dad was possibly in LA so she shouldn't be headed back toward the bomb. What will she do on her own? I'm hoping she stumbles across some criminal activity or a lonely recluse who's looking for a new wife and gets herself tied and gagged for the next fifteen episodes or so.... |

OK, this may not have been to your tastes, but how is a woman in her late 40s bound and gagged onscreen nothing? this sounds like the sort of thing that oughtta be in the database, actually. |

Hey..don't know if this was mentioned yet but...just saw screening of this movie and Kate Winslet handcuffs and tapegags herself. Don't want to give away the plot really...but she's investigating a pretty gruesome murder where the victim is tapegagged and also has a bag placed over her head. kate reenacts this scene for forensic purposes. You see her placing the tape on her mouth, then the bag over her head...She handcuffs herself behind the back and lays on the floor. her guy friend is timing how long it takes her to run out of air. Then as she's struggling for air, handcuffed on the floor, her friend rips the bag off and you get to see her for a few seconds or so with the tape on before her friend rips it off....Alot of mmphing...I don't like the whole bag on the head thing..but she did it to herself..and you get a few seconds of her with just the tape..so I'd say it's a pretty good scene
FYI (and this is not a spoiler) Laura Linney plays the murder victim. Also FYI, if you care..the movie wasn't very good... |

Chubby, I did not see the episode, but from your description it sounds like another example of the scriptwriters (or director, or producer) not knowing how to create real suspense and drama. Or what sells! |

1. Invasion of the Girl Snatchers
5. Il Vicino di Casa For my question now... The DYNASTY scenes with Linda Evans were great |
