Mysterious Screenplay on the Hallmark.
One hour down, & two to go. Gabby Anwar has still got it, but the screenwriters don't.

When they first got to the island, the hero (Kyle MacLachlan) fixed a generator. Nemo claims it makes electricity out of seawater, but I think all it does is make Jules Verne spin in his grave.

I really enjoyed the book, but this movie is "Mysterious Island" in the same sense that "Free Willy" is "Moby Dick."

Appears from the BBS part,
got another scene with the lead "Dae Jang-geum aka Jewel In The Palace" coming.

Recognise "Soap boy" gagging someone.
(Though can't see him doing anything like that in his current soppy one)

"Goto" in on a cleave gag scene too.

May try and organise something with an English speaker over there. Perhaps send him email clips of intro's, learn if anything of interest, or not. ID'ing

Are "Mysterious Island" and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" sequel books written by Jules Verne? If so, which came first?

Quick Bits
I went to Borders last night during my exile in Dallas and saw a DVD of Hitchcock's "I Confess" with a woman being handgagged on the cover. The obvious question that follows: is there a scene in this movie, or is it not in the database because the answer is no? Just curious.

Also, if anyone wants a few different vidcaps (however dark they might be) of the oh-so-lovely Camilla Rutherford in "Picture Claire," there are some at this website:

http://camillarutherford.com/gallery/

Scroll down to the Picture Claire link; the vidcaps of interest to us start on page 15 of that section (and the non-DiD pictures are quite nice, too -- she looks like the kind of girl I would see at my favorite bar back home in New Orleans).

Wasn't it the actress who played the daughter of Gabrielle Anwar's character who was hand-gagged by the pirates as she blundered thru the woods at night?

Yeah. Whoopsie!
I JUST put it on and was glancing over my shoulder at the TV while I was trying to type that in a hurry so I could get back to the record button in case anything popped.

"20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" came first, & was a world-wide hit. "Mysterious Island" followed.

[...SPOILER INFO...]

Nemo is a hidden character throughout, but is only identified at the end. His role in the main characters' survival is important, but "Island" is *not* a sequel to "Leagues".

Ugh!! Those are the kinds of scenes that cheese me off. They're not "scenes." All she has to do is reach over and pull the tape off--problem solved. An eight-year-old could do it. Gorgeous actress. Too bad someone didn't really tie her up.

She was bound and gagged in a bikini in the movie "Death Spa". An evil demoness in the form of a mortal woman overpowered her, and tied her to a tanning bed, and cleave-gagged her. The tanning bed was modified to overheat and cook her alive. She was wearing a colorful bikini while she was bound and gagged.

It's true, but unfortunately, she's not charmingly cleave-gagged as she used to be in the good "WONDER WOMAN" old days!!!

Darn. I was hoping Lindy Booth would get herself bound and gagged by the killer. Oh well, thanks for saving me the trouble of having to watch it.

Scream 4
Neve Campbell will not be in Scream 4 even though she was offered the role; here's a quote:

And why the change of heart? Logic, of course. "Sidney Prescott should have gone insane in the second Scream," she joked, "It was hard for them to get me to do the third one; how far can you go with a character whose friends have either all tried to kill her or died? The only way I could be in "Scream 4" is in an insane asylum in a straight-jacket."

Now, I disliked all 3 Scream films, but I would pay double to see that concept.
