I caught Monday's finale episode but did Friday's episode (which I missed) show the wife actually being gagged or did it just cut to her already gagged? Seeing as how cool the gag removal scene I was just wondering/hoping if they also showed it being applied as well. |

Here in the Bay Area, the rebroadcast is delayed due to baseball (and presumably the 12:30am time is approximate). Sorry about that. |

There were more, there was one of her hanging from a cliff, and one of her tied up in a shack with some dynamite. When Donny walked away at the end of the skits, she used to struggle and scream "heeeeeelp" quite furiously. This well loved tv series has gotta come out on DVD at some point. Right? |

The scene on La Madrastra was not the scene I saw in Mexico back in July. I noticed that there is a special episode Sun. night entitled La Madrastra Despues Anos. I will record this just in case. In Mexico, I know I saw a blond woman cleave gagged and tied to a pole in a burning building. With over 100 million people in Mexico, I wish someone there could help us out on Brian's page. |

Tuesday September 06 15:50:16 2005 ALERT -BBC America "MESSIAH" |
I happened to be perusing the upper cahnnels on "Dish" and came across what appears to be a gem. "Messiah" had a commercial on with a trailer for this evening. Just from the 30 second trailer I observed:
Tape Gag (not duct, but a cloth like medical tape I would guess) on a Dead DID , two live DID's and a putz (well one cannot be perfect) For those that like mummification (not my bag, but who can complain) there is at least one of those. and for those who like the damsel to be in the added distress of a filling well of water while bound and gagged AOH (now that probably hit a lot of nerves)looks like there is one of those too.Throw in a midget tied to a rack and they pretty much covered all the bases... Bloody good job over the pond I say.. America and our allies thank you! dang you guys are good. I did a little more checking...changed the spelling a bit and....whammo
Record number: 8298 Title: Messiah 2: Vengeance Is Mine (2002) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Danie Bierneat, Unknown Description: In part one of this 2 part BBC serial killer crime drama, character Jenny Collier is a deceased victim suffocated in a large laundry bag. When the bag is opened we see her tape gagged face. The killer has used flesh coloured elastoplast. When the police talk about it they say that the killer stuffed a hankerchief into her mouth then taped it. In part 2 Danie is kidnapped and tied hands behind back in a storm drain which is filling with rain water. She is over the mouth gagged with a white scarf. Nice mmmppphhh-ing as the police rescue her just in time. Part 2 also features a quick re-cap of part 1 where character Jenny Collier is again shown tape gagged. |

Don't know if this helps but I know someone that's Mexican & visits there regularly and she told me that certain soaps have about 10 minutes of footage cut per episode. The show Rebelde, for instance, is actually 70 minutes in length per episode. So that's cutting 10 minutes off a day and in a week that's almost an hours worth. Don't know if they do this with La Madrastra but that would certainly explain the missing scene. Or maybe Univision makes their own cuts to shorten the run of the entire soap? |

Tuesday September 06 16:31:34 2005 Movie/Video Alerts *Database*? |
I suppose I could have sent this as e-mail to the engineer, but I thought a discussion might be useful.
I find little value in the "Movie/Video Alerts Forum". The problem is you can't *search* for anything, other than by brute force. For example, I was wondering today what was up with the movie "Bloodrayne". I keep a folder of "interesting" movie sites (Official or imdb entry) & periodically check for new info. I seem to remember the Official "Bloodrayne" site having *lots* of content many months ago, yet the release date is now the first week of 2006. (Not a good sign. Why sit on an action movie? ...unless it stinks on ice.) Then it occurred to me to make an entry in the Movie/Video Alert page to share the "new" release date... but was it really new, or just new to me? Would anyone see it, or (more importantly) be able to ever *find* it again? Was the info already posted, months ago? So... Why not make the "Movie/Video Alerts Forum" a "Movie/Video Alerts Database"? It could be similar to the "Scene Database", allowing that design to be used as a template. Entries could be made only by registered users (like the "Scene Database") to cut down on the frivolous/worthless entries. We'd be able to search by title or actress (or keyword, or whatever), & once the movie or video was actually released & somebody actually saw it, they could make a Scene Database entry & the matching Alert entry would be deleted. Of course, I'm not the one who'd have to do the coding, but it sounds like a good idea to me. What do you guys think? |

Thanks Major, but, uh... what site? "DAMSELS UNDER GLASS"? "VAN's FiCTiON"? Both? :-) Just to be crystal clear (in a murky, cloudy, semi-opaque kinda way), my "Movie/Video Alerts Database" is a suggestion for *Brian's* site. Why not make the "Movie/Video Alerts > Forum" a "Movie/Video Alerts Database"? > Van I appreciate what you are trying to do. However, it seems like a major addition to the site. Perhaps what you are trying to accomplish could be done by simply adding a video/DVD release date to any movie in the database, as the release date becomes known. In any event, if your suggestion would increase the use of the Movie/ Video Alerts section I would be all for it. I am one of the few people who visit this site, who does not get cable or satellite TV of any kind. I get all of my scenes by renting DVD's and video tapes. For that reason, I REALLY pay close attention to the "Movie/Video Alerts" section. I get alot of valuable information from it. I wish it was being used more often, but I know that I am in the minority. |

Tuesday September 06 22:18:16 2005 Crash DVD special features |
i recently picked up Crash on dvd. one of the best films i have seen this year. but thats not the reason i am posting here.
under special features on the dvd, there are a few trailers, one including Killing Words, which has a woman in a red dress tied to a chair, handcuffed, and gagged with duct tape in the trailer. Record number: 9314 Title: Palabras encadenadas (2003) aka Killing Words Medium: Movie Actress: Goya Toledo Description: In this nasty, though not overly violent Spanish thriller Goya plays Laura, a psychiatrist. At the beginning of the movie, she has already been abducted by her ex-husband Ramon. The show begins with a monologue by Goya's ex-hubby. Right after that, we see her in a well-lit basement room, sitting in a chair with her wrists taped to the armrests, her legs fastened to the front chair legs and tape gagged. After a few minutes, she is untied, but a little later, Ramon cuffs one of her hands to a table leg. Again, she is released after a while. In a scene about 50 min. in, Ramon is questioned by the police. He tells them how he met Laura in a parking garage and she agreed to come with him, but flashbacks tell a different story: Ramon knocks her unconscious, cuffs her hands behind her back. Then Laura is tape gagged, hooded and put into the trunk of his car. Short scene and no follow-ups. In all scenes, Goya is wearing a fetching red dress. ^^^Database |

Something to look forward to over the next seven years. :) "The 10 characters in the arrangement are Captain America, The Avengers, Nick Fury, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Cloak & Dagger, Dr. Strange, Hawkeye, Power Pack, and Shang-Chi ..... Although the financing allows for the production of animated films, Marvel currently intends to use the funds to make only live-action films." |
