I'm going to add my little contribute: the japanese scene you named "dr.gag 411" is taken from episode 06 of the series "Detective office" aired in 1979. The actress is unknown and the story doesn't end well for her. |

Tuesday October 25 10:35:02 2005 Old fashioned damsels no more? |
With Yahoo deleting every group there is that deals with old fashioned damsel style bondage (railroad track and buzzsaw) Is there no hope of ever seeing it's kind again? Rare stuff, old stuff, ANY stuff? Hats off to the guy who posted that pic of Audrey Hepburn tied up in the sawmill a while back. More please! Before my cape fades and my waxed moustache wilts! |

Brian R's guide (Univision 17 @1am) has this at least running to Nov 4th. Entry [4375] from the first time this aired says "The final episode", which I believe is correct? So sounds you are here down in the United States: ___________ Record number: 5311 Title: Mi Destino Eres Tu Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Natalia Streignard Description: From May 2001 -- Tonight's episode of this Mexican soap had one of the best gag scenes in memory. (Unfortunately, as noted by others, this scene ended badly for the woman.) The victim was trying to cut through her cloth bonds with a piece of glass (a bit bloody, unfortunately) when the bad girl returns. She pulls the thick knotted cleave-gag from the victim's mouth, this took two attempts. When this gag is pulled down, stuffing appears and the victims spits this out. ______________________ Then just watch your guide, or look for Final "Capitolo" (however they warn?) Then this should be coming up: _______________ Record number: 4375 Title: Mi Destino Eres Tu Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Lucero Description: (Mexico) In the final episode, Lucero is abducted on her way to her wedding. On screen hands taped behind, ankles taped together, and briefly tapegagged. =========================================== Off-hand, don't believe there that long a gap between these. Around 10 hour eps say? |

Can anyone point me to other scenes like the 2nd girl there stuffed and gagged with a stocking like that? |
Tuesday October 25 11:32:25 2005 The Ice Harvest |
Just saw a trailer for the new John Cusack movie, The Ice Harvest. Towards the end, Connie Nielsen has her arms taped to a chair. No gag in the trailer, but maybe in the movie. Trailer's here.

Tuesday October 25 11:54:10 2005 Lindsay Lohan handgagging her sister |
This link shows a photo flipbook from Linday Lohan's new episode of Making the Video on MTV. Scroll down to "Lindsay's Confessions". Photo 8 of 11 shows Lindsay handgagging her sister (pretty tightly!) because she was talking on the set during filming. It was a kind of lighthearted scene in the show, but the still makes it look more menacing. This scene is not in the music video. The video is called Confessions of a Broken Heart. |

Tuesday October 25 13:11:30 2005 Holy Grail photo railroad DID? |
Someone mentioned railroad track DID scenes recently and I was reminded of a holy grail photo I saw only once for 30 seconds and then never again. It may seem too obscure but you never know, perhaps it is also in a book somewhere. It was the late 70's, 77 to 79 in NYC at a huge high end photo exhibit, either Kodak or Nikon. It was a very large indoor show with huge 20 foot prints hanging everywhere promoting something photographic. I was with a boring friend and right in the middle was a 20 foot b&w print hanging in the air by wires of a beautiful girl bound and gagged (close up), dressed in DID period garb (think Dudley Do Right) a long skirt and period blouse, dark hair, kind of a Tara King (Linda Thorsen) look a like (busty). She was in front of a period locomotive, tied to the tracks, hands behind, sideways laying down facing lens, white OTM cloth gag, lots of rope everywhere, very tight and realistic. It was one of those shots where everything was set perfectly (rare for railroad scenes).
My friend said why are you staring at that and I had to go. I never saw it again. I know this is very obscure and a long shot, but NYC is a big place and this picture was amazing in quality and intensity and just maybe someone here saw it. Thanks in advance. |

He was the playright whose 'Under the Gaslight' (1867) "was the first American play to employ the sensational device of having a man tied to the railroad tracks in the path of an oncoming train." Yep, you read that right. The first track tie was a putz. |

Just for the heck of it, go and check either Frank J's, or Fuzz's scans? There an on the rails shot that recall being in one of the magazines early to mid 80's. May not be same, but you never know huh? |

The thing about the pic is that it was made in a very high end, Hollywood production way; large format, pro model, real train, perfect lighting. It seemed like a Kodak produced or commisioned shot by a high end pro; it was a stunning pic in every way. Link below is to Avengers "Pandora" episode; check out the clothes in the bottom right last pic, it was close to that look. |

Tuesday October 25 16:17:20 2005 Railroad Did - holy grails from across the pond |
Way back in the early 80's, in lil' ol' England, that most English of institutions the Quick Brew tea bag company did a poster campaign that got my old heart beating a little faster. there were three in total inspired by old saturday morning silent serials. one had a Tom Mix style cowboy hanging by his fingernails from a cliff while a black hat tried to kick him off, and the other two featured Dids.
One was a Mabel Normand lookalike tied by thick ropes across her chest to a post in a cellar slowly filling with water, with her hands in front tied with equally thick rope. The other was a Did in a striped blouse and long dress with her hands spread out and tied over her head to a railroad track, with thickish rope wound many, many times around her entire body and legs. Oh, how I want to see THOSE again. |

Now I've seen just about everything! :-)) Room for an enterprising sculptor to offer accessory figures of famous ladies in appropriate garb and restraints, I'd say. Meanwhile, I have railfakes of Felicity Kendal, Alyson Hannigan, and a double - Kylie Minogue and Natalie Imbruglia - on my Homepage site. See Britbirds, New World and Sheilas respectively. Perhaps it was Bob Newhart who had a comedy record out in the '50s, with a monologue that went something like, "Now is she securely tied to the tracks? That's right, put a gag on her. Now, bring on the locomotive.... Ready? Lights, camera, action!" (Sound of accelerating steam loco, whistling, brakes and obvious failure to stop in time.) Typically, I can't remember the punchline. |
