Last week, Kate (Evangeline Lilly) was tied hands behind with an electrical cord & thrown into a pantry. She was laying on the floor with her hands behind her back. She was struggling to bring her hands under her legs so her hands would be in front. When she managed to brings her hands in front, she took a knife out of her jeans, opened it, put the knife between her knees with the blade up & cut herself free. The room was dimly lit. |

Thursday October 06 04:55:05 2005 Dogs prove to be man's best friend yet again! |
Has anyone seen the new Spearment gum ad? A lady seated on a park bench gets a "doggy bone" knocked into her mouth. With a shocked look on her face she goes, "mmmmmmghgh!" She's then given a piece of the gum to clean the dog taste out of her mouth. Not great as theres no ropes but still a nice gag scene. Too bad the dog couln't have tied her up with his leash as well.
Would love to see the blonde british girl who appears in all the Spearment commercials get a scene herself. |

Thursday October 06 07:15:51 2005 Frustration and more frustration |
Recently after having watched two classic (?) 80's films (classic really being defined by nostalgia as neither are really that good) I remembered how frustrated I had been with both films when I first saw them during the hormonal tidal wave that was my early teenage years.
VOLUNTEERS - Two lines stand out in this movie. First when Tom Hanks rescues an unbound Rita Wilson from the Yellow Peril style Warlord - 'My God, I'd imagined you stripped naked and chained to a wall - Imagine my dissapointment' Which was frustrating but not as frustrating as the discussion of Shakti (weird looking but very alluring model who played a Terry and the Pirates stye femme fatale) 'Did you knock her out and tie her up?' 'No, she did that to herself - you should have been there!' And the second one is 'The Golden Child' where Eddie Murphy finds Charlotte Lewis tied up with toilet paper in his dream sequence - it looked good but I found the means of binding to be so obviously escapable that it took away any real pleasure from the scene. So, my questions are - Any other filns where a character says something like - 'Oh, yes we have her tied up real tight in the back room just wearing her bra and panties and high heels - real tight, oh yes!' and then you never see it? Or any other scenes where the damsel is bound with something so ridiculous that it just doesn't count? |

WORST EVER!!! In the Timecop series... There was an epsode dealing with Al capone era gangsters (maybe even Al himself). The gangsters capture the lovely Cristi Conaway who played Claire Hemmings. She lloked so good tied and gagged in the second batman movie (too bad it was too quick). The bad guy makes her change from her slacks outfit into "something more ladylike"...A hot dress and heels! Then says he's going to tie and gag her in other room AND THEY NEVER FRIGGIN SHOWED IT NOT ONE BLOODY SHOT |

Thursday October 06 09:56:02 2005 Unknown scenes |
Went through my caps folder and I have 533mb of unknown scenes in 41 files.
I'm going to .rar them up and then throw 'em on a server. If you want access, let me know and I'll send you the link. All I ask is that you try to ID some of the scenes and not post the link anywhere (worried about going over on bandwidth... I'm not too concerned about 20 or so people downloading 500mb, but I don't want to have 900 people do it.) |

Oh well...(sniff!)...there's > always reruns...I hope! ;-) Alias is a great show. I suggest just getting the DVDs and watching from the begining. You'll catch up on the dozens of did scenes you'd miss if you didn't ;) Blockbuster is giving out a free month of rentals via their online dvd rental service with promo code "friends" (you also get a code if you order a pizza from papa johns) You get 2 in-store rentals with the free month subscription, which is rather nice. Netflix has 2 weeks free. I think walmart has one month free promo with no code, but they took forever (like 4 days, whereas turnaround for netflix and blockbuster is 2 - or 1 day if I manage to drop off the dvds before 6 at the post office) to ship stuff to me (would probably be better on east coast / south) USA only, and is only a cool thing if you live near a distribution center (although a netflix type outfit did open in Canada recently) |

Her only line was 'That's him!' after she was rescued. Great scenes and she was really cute back then before she became anorexic. Gina Philips was also disposable in 'When The Bough Breaks' (no lines due to being handgagged by Ally Walker every time she tried to say something) |
Thursday October 06 13:30:39 2005 Re: Frustration and more frustration |
This one was never actually a scene, but it had ridiculous potential. I can't remember if there was ever a discussion of it here or not. On the "Passion Fish" episode of the show "Grosse Pointe", Sarah Michelle Gellar guest starred as herself, trying to get a role on the fictional show Grosse Pointe. In order to earn an Emmy nomination, she wanted to play a lesbian character. The writers on the show were trying to figure out a lesbian storyline for her, and one of them who repeatedly stole plotlines from movies asked another, "Have you ever seen the movie 'Bound'?" So naturally, we were led to believe that they wrote a script for her which blatantly ripped off the plot of "Bound".
Needless to say, wacky mishaps ensued and Sarah never actually did the show. Frustrating. |

Slightly different, but I remember it was reported here once that the original script for the Rocketeer called for Jennifer Connelly to be bound and gagged and hopping around rather than just wandering around the bad guys estate after they kidnapped her. Think about that too much and you'll go insane. |

Think about that too much and you'll go insane. Tell me about it! What about that episode of "Gilligan's Island" which guest stars the inimitable Don Rickles as a kidnapper. He initially kidnaps Mrs. Howell, who is shown bound, gagged, and blindfolded. He then kidnaps Mary Ann, who says, "He gagged me, and tied my hands behind my back". Finally, he kidnaps Ginger, who recounts her captivity in luscious detail, including her being handgagged. Unfortunately, neither Giner nor Mary Ann is shown bound and gagged. |

Suzanne Pleshette in "The Power" (1968) in 'the scene that never was'---except in a fabled studio publicity still. The really frustrating aspect of the whole mess is that after her release, she and the hero actually talk about her having been tied up....AARRRRRGH! |

Thursday October 06 15:35:23 2005 Susan Saint James |
I have two infuriating scenes, both involving Susan Saint James. Now this was in the mid-1980s where my into to Susan was in "Kate & Allie." I knew she had earlier work but didn't even know about McMillian & Wife at that point.
During the Robert Wagner series "It Takes a Thief," she had a recurring guest role as Charlene Brown. In one episode aired in reruns, there was a double for Charlene (also played by Susan). In a hotel room scene, there's a fight scene and both the double and a male partner are KO'd by Wagner and Charlene. They're placed in the bathroom in the tub. After getting instructions, Charlene says "OK, I'll tie them up and gag them." Later, the male is shown working free while the Charlene double is not shown except her feet indicating someone else is there but not shown. In a second scene, Susan guest starred in "MacLeod" and was kidnapped in the woods via some type of choloforom placed near her nose. We see from behind the bad guy carrying a bound and cleave-gagged Susan into a cave. But, alas, when the scene resumes, Susan is simply tied and not gagged in the cave. |

...& how 'bout the notorious "Quantum Leap" incident with Claudia Christian in a strapless gown, cleavegagged, in plain view in the background, over the villain's shoulder, struggling, squirming, looking scared, & TOTALLY OUT OF FOCUS!! Aaaargh!!
Here's the dBase entry, for your frustrated pleasure: Record number: 656 Title: Quantum Leap Medium: TV Series Actress: Claudia Christian Description: Episode: "Play it Again Seymour" (1.9) This just missed being a classic (due to crappy camera work). She's been kidnapped, and is held B&G by the bad guy in a warehouse. There's a big shootout with Sam, and they keep showing shots of the crook. You can see Claudia behind him, however, she's far enough into background that the shots are always out of focus. You can just barely make out the white cleave gag. Not a single damn closeup, not even when he unties her. Action in the last half. |

Thursday October 06 18:54:50 2005 Human Trafficking |
Hadn't seen a reference to this yet. I suppose this ought to be a VCR alert, but I'm not 100% sure what we'll get. However...
"Human Trafficking" is a 2-part "Lifetime" cable miniseries that debuts on Oct 24 at 9 pm (check your local listing for your time zone). Now I'm sure that you could make a fairly realistic movie about the contemporary trade in human slaves, men and women. You know, mostly indigenous people lured into indentured servitude in factories and sweatshops, tricked by con men, hooked on drugs and all... Or you could make this movie, where cute young girls are abducted by evil men for the purpose of being sexual playthings. There's a (fairly long) trailer online at: http://www.lifetimetv.com/movies/originals/humantrafficking.html I'm at work, so really don't have time to go frame by frame through it. Just watching it once, I didn't see any actual B&G. But I do see abduction, handgagging, slaves forced to parade before potential buyers, Mira Sorvino as an undercover operative whose falls into the slavers' clutches... Definitely worth your VCR/Tivo time, I'd say. |

fairly disappointing scene tonight. Around halfway through we see Annette O'Toole with her hands tied in front with yellow rope. She's held and handgagged by the lead freak while Lana and Mr. Kent are chatting with a cop. A little while later, she, hubby, and Kristen Kreuk are sitting on chairs with hands tied in front with the yellow rope. Their ankles are also tied together and to their wrists. Mostly mid to long distance shots of the ladies. No gags. Minimal struggling. No good close-ups. Probably no more than a minute of total screen time where you can see the ropes. |

Thursday October 06 23:17:09 2005 "Dungeon Siege" movie on the way. |
Any of you guys play the "Dungeon Siege" video game(s)? Apparently (I don't play) it's a Tolkeinesque/Dungeons & Dragons quest game with a farmer (& the usual heroic suspects) looking for his kidnapped wife. Anyhoo, there's a movie on the way. The cast sounds promising. Here's part of an article at the SciFi web-site (URL below):
"In addition to Statham [Jason Statham, who plays the farmer], the cast features Claire Forlani as Farmer's wife, Ron Perlman as his helpful neighbor Norrick, John Rhys-Davies as the good magus Merrick, Leelee Sobieski as Merrick's daughter Muriella, Kristanna Loken as the forest warrior Elora, Ray Liotta as the villainous Gallion, Matthew Lillard as his lieutenant, Duke Farrow, and Burt Reynolds as King Konreid." One more project to keep an eye on. |

> Any other filns where a character says something like - > 'Oh, yes we have her tied up real tight in the back room > just wearing her bra and panties and high heels - real > tight, oh yes!' and then you never see it? > Tom, I remember this vividly...sometime in the late 80s I was off school for the summer and Chicago's Fox affiliate used to show the 60s Batman reruns around lunchtime. They showed an episode where one of Batman's gal pals gets into trouble with the villian, I can't remember his name but he had a pharoah theme. She was wearing some sort of strapless dress with a see-through veil/shrug over it (some sort of Halloween costume I believe) and was pretty hot. Anyway, the villian is trying to get some info from her and tells her "maybe a night down in the dungeon will loosen your tongue" and his henchmen take her away. The episode ends shortly after with the familiar cliffhanger, and that night I'm salivating over seeing this damsel possibly chained up to a dungeon wall in that dress with a possible Batman rescue on the following day's show but of course it never happens. The next day, the henchmen simply bring the damsel back to the villian looking no worse for wear without showing absolutely any dungeon time. I was INCENSED. They even HAD a dungeon set on hand because Batgirl was chained to a wall in another episode. And that scene in Golden Child was a MAJOR disappointment. Why couldn't they have used rope or chains?? I guess TP added comedy value. Whatever. |

I've mentioned these two before, so for the benefit of those newbies here....
"The Mean Season"--After Mariel Hemingway character's kidnapped, we see her in the backseat of a car..but we NEVER see below her upper torso )sat is n the way, but you get the impression she's tied when Richard Jordan tries to touch her and she shies away instead of batting away wih her hands. later when she's rescued, all you see is her being escorted by the cops..bandanna around her neck which was absent from the car scene, so you KNOW she was gagged. Was hoping for a DVD with deleted scenes, but no such luck :( "Nightmare In Columbia County"--Girl is laying in back seat of a car; we HEAR the girl moaning and SEE what is happening through HER eyes...nothing else. A BIG disappointment! Short scene too :( |
