Tuesday October 04 00:21:57 2005 Zatanna bound and gagged |
In the latest issue of "Adventures of Superman" (#644 Nov 2005) guest-star Zatanna (who uses magic by speaking her spells backwards) is bound and gagged by Superman's arch-enemy the Toyman. In the story, Zatanna is about to say a spell when Toyman says "No. Be silent." Toyman throws a special kind of "wrapping ribbon" at Zatanna which wraps around her body AND her mouth! Then, the ribbon gives her an electric shock. There are 2 good shots and 1 far shot of her bound and gagged. However, it is unclear as to whether or not the shock knocks her unconscious. The next time we see her she is conscious as Superman has just ripped the ribbon off.
Zatanna is wearing her stage magician costume complete with fishnet stockings. As far as I know, this is the first time that she has been bound and gagged in a comic book in about 20 years. This issue was almost sold out at my local comic book store. Coincidence? |

It's the top-rated NBC show on Sunday night. I don't understand it since I think it's one of the worst-written and acted shows on TV. As bad as "Charmed." |
Tuesday October 04 00:44:34 2005 Another comic book bound and gagged scene |
"Brodie's Law" # 3 (Nov 2004) (published by Pulp Theatre Entertainment) has a great picture of a kidnap victim bound and gagged on the cover. Also, there is a CLASSIC shot of her bound and gagged on page 1. The artist was definitely making a point of bringing attention to her predicament. In addition, there are 2 other shots (one of them good) of her bound and gagged.
I remember a small picture of the cover being posted here some time ago. |

Tuesday October 04 02:55:25 2005 Medium - Patricia Arquette |
Nobody seems to have mentioned last night's Medium. Patricia was having bad dreams about being a mental patient. In the first few minutes of the show, she goes to a mental institution. The head nurse suddenly accuses her of being a patient of the hospital, she is grabbed by two orderlies, then is promptly strapped down to a medical table and a mouthpiece inserted in her mouth. She is then given shock treatment, which is only briefly shown before she wakes up from the dream. Nice close-up of the mouthpiece in the final shot.
I have put together a WMV clip and some caps. Follow the link below and I hope you enjoy! |

It was fun to watch some of the regulars tear into each other and seeing the odd brain explosion was cool too. Oh, well. I guess " the line " may've been crossed too many times, huh ? |

Tuesday October 04 06:32:18 2005 Carmen |
Greetings from down under.
On our Ovation chanel last week, we were treated to the opera Carmen. With a strong storyline and wonderful music it is famous world wide. It was staged in a football stadium in Germany in 2003. Hermine May played Carmen. She wore a long spanish flaired dress, was well endowed, with plenty of cleavage. About 1/3 into the opera there is a bondage scene. To see this wonderful lady with her hands tied behind her back would have been a gift from the gods. She was being man-handled by the soldiers after a scuffle. Don Jose comes along with coils of rope over his shoulder. Right at this point Carmens arms are usualy pulled behind and she is bound at the wrists. Unfortunanatly what I saw was so pathetic as to leave blot on an otherwise good production. Don Jose pulled the rope from his shoulder. She streched her arms in front and put her hands together. To add insult to injury he tried to wrap the rope around but instead of a loop it became a tangled mess around her fingers. She gripped as he pulled her along, tying the other end onto a post. The scene lost all sense of drama as she was trying to persuade him to let her go. Julia Migenes-Johnson in the 1986 film is a prime example of how this scene should be done. How could a director be in charge of a production costing a mint allow such an amateur sequence to pass? Any coments, please. Alan a |

How so? Was the kidnappee never shown or was she kept in the usual locked room? |

I agree - this was a good one! I edited it down & posted it on The Bondage Bulletin Board if anyone is interested (I can't believe I beat Jay L to this!)

Tuesday October 04 15:47:16 2005 Missy Elliot video |
I saw a new video on MTV yesterday with rapper/R&B singer Missy Elliot. In the video she is shown quite a bit in a straightjacket in a padded room. The straightjacket is black and has a satin look to it. The video also features some female dancers wearing the same type of SJ. The video centers around Missy Elliot being jealous of her cheating boyfriend and murders him. She is shown with her arms behind her back being led by some hottie female cops but no shots of her cuffed. |

Tuesday October 04 17:23:44 2005 Arrested Development |
On Fox tonight at 8PM (EST) with Charize Theron (who looks real cute) held in a moving home on wheels, attacked by a one armed stuffed animal, knocked unconscious to the floor... clip ends. Heads up, maybe something. |

Tuesday October 04 19:30:46 2005 Crossing Jordan... with Saran Wrap, in Vegas |
This scene is the perfect example of the Subjectivity Factor in DiD-scene Calculus. She wasn't *really* helpless, & there wasn't even a hint of peril. In fact, she was in the bosom (so to speak) of luxurious safety; *BUT* it was Jill Hennessy!! ...& she was nekkid!! (under the saran wrap) ...& she struggled, just a little, granted, but she *did* struggle!!
Could it have been better? Well, let me see... *HELL YES* it could have been better! Jordan could have been between Molly Sims *&* Nikki Cox, with all three naked & saran-wrapped from bosom to ankles. There could have been a new subplot about Mary (Nikki) guarding a computer disk for Ed (or something) & a thief breaks in, holds a pistol on them, gags them with tape, & escapes with the disk. Thirty seconds of all three squirming & m'mmpfhing! Break to commercial. Okay, we're back. All three ladies, still wrapped & tape-gagged, hop out of the spa & into the main casino... which causes quite a stir. Yes, it could have been better. :-) But that's not the point. It's Jill Hennessy!! She's nekkid!! She's wrapped!! So... who has DiDcaps? :-) |

Tuesday October 04 21:02:23 2005 NCIS |
Disappointing. Action takes place in the last quarter hour and the victim is the mouthy new female agent. All shots show her on her side in car and in pictures. When the bad guy takes the tape off she's in shadow. Would have made a great DID if the shots weren't so lousy. |

Tuesday October 04 21:33:05 2005 NCIS |
After re-looking over my tape of the above show I noticed another quick gag shot of a damsel. Shortly before the above victim is hit over the head with a shovel her partners are at the crime scene (a rather gruesome one I might add) where the half naked body of a dead and badly beaten woman is on her knees with her hands tied above her head the agent has a quick premonition of her alive and bound and tape gagged before she is killed. Quick shot and with the human eye you might miss it. |

Tuesday October 04 22:04:18 2005 Sex, Love & Secrets |
This new UPN show is definitely worth keeping an eye on. It's a 'hot' soap opera with lots of potential for stalkers, blackmailers, playful bondage. Could be the next Melrose Place, which was better than ninety percent of crime shows. Tonight there was a lengthy putz scene (yecch) but who knows what future episodes hold? |

She plays someone working for an English syndicate trying to get close to the Bluth so there's a slight chance of future developments. |

Tuesday October 04 22:44:22 2005 New fall season disappointing so far |
A lot of possible scenes, but very few rewards. Numb3ers has been a bust, with only a quickie scene at the end. Las Vegas was only a tease. (This show needs to go) Crossing Jordan is a bust, like always. Charmed is a waste of time, even with Kaley Cuoco. NCIS just teased us with a minor scene.
The only winners are Threshold, Law & Order: SVU & Lost (although a dark scene, but it IS Evangeline Lilly!) |

Tuesday October 04 23:20:36 2005 NCIS, Just Legal, Carmen Diaz |
NCIS was Jessica Steen who was only on this episode.
Just Legal on the WB has a bound body in a trunk on next week's show. There was no gag evident and it is probably of short duration. Monday at 9:00PM EST. Carmen Diaz interview on ComingSoon.net site mentions several times about being tied up in movies. |
