I agree about Ms. Gugino. Much a I loved "Karen Sisko", it sure was a missed opportunity. |

Sunday October 02 01:08:00 2005 Syndicated Reruns |
Reruns of both "Smallville" and "24" are making their syndicated debut on local stations across the country this weekend. Don't know if it's once a weekend or twice as with "CSI".
Also, "Davinci's Inquest" (from Canada) makes it's American debut in local syndication and on WGN's national feed. Check local listings for time, date and channel in your area. |

The place I went to (inside a local flea market) is pretty small but the guy who runs it says WW rarely sells out there except for that issue. I guess everyone else thought the cover great as well. I also hit a book store but their selection was so small that they probably don't even carry WW.... Hopefully SOMEONE that reads this page has the book and can give us some info. |

Sunday October 02 01:24:57 2005 Hunt for the BTK Strangler |
Just saw a commercial for the BTK movie that airs 10/9 on CBS. There was one brief shot of someones bound wrists.
I can't see how on earth they can NOT show bondage in this movie. |

FYI regarding Wonder Woman the movie. Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show, is writing the script for it. |

But she could've just as easily been bound and > gagged in regular street clothes, such as a blouse with > jeans or a skirt. Does everyone agree with me that her > apparel, the briefs and snug camisole top, were chosen > explicitly to induce and sustain viewer interest? It's always been my contention that boosting the sexual appeal of damsels in distress boosts the dramatic effectiveness of damsel in distress scenes, even when those scenes aren't primarily sexual in nature. I've not seen a lot of it in mainstream scenes however, until lately. But then we had the recent double cheerleaders in bondage scene, and though there wasn't a lot of writhing, cheerleaders are definitely a fetish for a lot of guys. And there was the scene you describe with the blatantly sexy outfit from Threshold, and the scene from Chupacabra Terror that features the sexy outfit AND a great deal of sexy writhing. I dunno if this is coincidence or if filmmakers are getting more hip to the additional appeal that sexy imagery brings to DiD scenes. But given the frequency with which DiDs who were wearing sexy clothes all through a TV show/movie have been known to suddenly change into frumpy, unsexy wear just prior to their DiD scene in the past, you have to think that at SOME level, the filmmakers were thinking about the likely effect the damsel's sexiness would have on viewers. Only now they are thinking it's a good thing rather than a bad thing. This does not mean we aren't in for a more scenes of DiDs suddenly dropping sexy garb for shapeless rags during their DiD scenes, or finding themselves tied up in near-darkness for the duration of their scenes. But generally I would suspect that heightened awareness of the effect of bondage imagery (due to more people experimenting with bondage, whether they find it a major turn on or not) will tend to make for sexier DiD scenes over the long haul. |

Sunday October 02 18:50:28 2005 Girl in 3D and gratitude |
Two quick comments to whoever posted the dramatically expanded review of "Girl in 3D" with Bevin Tucker:
First, you da man! I checked a few months back and there was very little on this film. My new PC is better able to access the film's website ( http://www.Girlin3D.com ) than when I last posted inquiries about it, but it shows us far more putz pics than shots of the two lovely ladies. Second, the detailed review suggests you bought or rented a copy. Please tell me it was either region 1 or regionless, because I've been hunting for this film on DVD with no success here in the states. As I mentioned earlier, I upgraded to a much better PC, so I was offline briefly, then tussling with the usual bugs and quirks of a jury-built machine, and didn't have a chance to thank the kindly clippers who've been doing such reliably great work. Major John, Anubis, Jay L, Kerhopf, Jos, Asbestos Filter and anyone else I forgot to name, please don't think your work goes unappreciated. From oddities like that HOT Japanese clip "Bathtime" to grails like "Vegas: Lost Women", I'm continually thankful. Now that I have a DVD drive, perhaps I'll eventually master the software and return the favor. Once I convince my machine to stop crashing so often...;-) |

---- Some favorite examples: 1) Party Line (1988). Shawn Weatherly dresses as one would expect an assistant DA to dress, until it's time for to set the trap for the serial killer. Then she changes into an eye-popping red strapless number, guaranteed to catch the eye of a perverted perp. Only it's time for him to trap the trapper... 2) Heather Locklear ("Trackdown"). Dressed in police blues and then off-duty knockarounds, she goes undercover as a typical sexy southern California waitress dressed to garner the most in tips. At the time, we didn't know that Stacey Sheridan would have any more B&g scenes. 3) Ginger (1971). When Ginger finds herself on the receiving end of bondage, she's also happens to be stripped naked. A nice way for the filmmakers to let *us* know why the Ginger series of films were being made. 4) Small Sacrifices (1989). No need for convicted matriceder Farrah Fawcett to continue to dress as a suburban housewife when she's headed to the big house. Instead, she decides to travel in attire where prisoner chains work well as accessories. |

Sunday October 02 21:24:24 2005 Charmed: megalame scene |
I can't believe I sat through that drivel for this...
Kaley Cuoco has an incredibly brief scene with manacles on her wrists. She is wearing a very hot black leather mini boot outfit but it like that whole show was wasted. |
