Thanks for spoiling the part about Vestra being Aura's mother. Now the entire series is ruined. ...JUST KIDDING!! It's ruined anyway. :-) I made a dBase entry. Record number: 13240 Title: Flash Gordon Medium: TV Series Actress: Carrie Genzel Description: Episode: Revolution (1.20) A little more than 45 minutes into the episode, Vestra (Carrie Genzel), leader of the Omadrian canton, is shown strapped/clamped to a reclined couch/chair thingie in a cell in Ming's prison. She's wearing a long sleeved, full-length, voluminous gown. (No skin other than her face.) Ming saunters in and straps a black rubber ball-gag in her mouth. Attached to the front of the ball is a small valve and a pair of thin plastic hoses attached to a glass tank of "gray water". This is the contaminated H2O that turns Mongos (Mongovians?) into "deviants". Ming starts the water flowing, and we see Vestra choking (a little) and water dribbling from her lips. There'a a little distressed eye-rolling and moaning/gurgling, but that's it. End of scene. |

But I found the Post. You can see what first mentioned (same as above), what brought this about. Good points & bad points and all that. Should clear up any misunderstandings ================================== Wednesday January 01 13:44:02 2003 New features Taking advantage of the day off today, I added something to help people learn proper netiquette, as it seems some are having trouble with it. When making replies, ratio of quoted material to new material must be less than 75%. I think that is sufficiently generous for most purposes. It means that sometimes people will have to put a bit more work into the post, rather than just posting "me too" or the equivalent. When the post is not satisfactory, it will tell you what the ratio is so you can adjust. Adding stupid stuff to pad the post is likely to irritate me. Further, the posting routine will (should) detect when the new material is posted before the quotes. I have pointed out in the past that this is bad because it destroys normal reading order on posts, and most importantly, I don't like it. Blank lines don't affect it. Far from being too confining, this is actually a benefit to all. Rather than me deleting posts after the fact, now the system will alert you that your post is not correct and give you a chance to fix it right then. This saves me from having to delete posts, and you the user from having otherwise acceptable posts removed simply for violations of netiquette. It also helps those who accidentally hit the carriage return after their name in a reply and post a whole post of quotes. This will catch it and you can zip back and finish. As with any new feature, let me know if anything looks wonky. The Moderator ============================== |

Saturday February 02 06:23:43 2008 late alert -- Darling Lili |
I just tuned to Turner Classic Movies (TCM) to record the bondage scene in "Pony Soldier" only to find that it is not on. The alert on the VCR alerts page is wrong. However, on Turner Classic Movies right now is "Darling Lili", which has a bound and gagged scene for Doreen Keogh. The movie runs until 7:15 AM eastern time. Here is the information from the database: Record number: 5338 Title: Darling Lili (1970) Medium: Movie Actress: Doreen Keogh Description: Ms. Keogh, as Julie Andrews' housekeeper, is BGed in a chair back-to-back with a male employee in the last hour. As I recall, there are two or three short shots of her. |

> Gee, I guess we'll have to deal with having another > "bondageriffic" story. Y'know, if it wasn't published so infrequently, I'd love to see Warren go ahead and put out a EMPOWERED book that was "heavy" on the sexual aspect but "light" on the "bonderific" material, just so he could watch his sales plummet. I mean, this almost has to be a joke. Surely, AW knows who his target audience is, right? Why would he cut back on the subject matter that has made his book such a success? Instead of that nonsense, he needs to add MORE pages of our cutie bound and gagged, not less. Anyway, I'm waiting (Hoping) for someone to decide to make an (Accurate) film version of the series. Who would play the lead? Pam's too old now, and Denise Richards is likely a bit past optimum prime as well. |

Well, at least Sarah's gag isn't a badly tied wisp of a scarf this time. |

An Old Grey Friend wrote: > I mean, this almost has to be a joke. Surely, AW knows > who his target audience is, right? Why would he cut back > on the subject matter that has made his book such a > success? Part of me wants to agree with you here because the bondage is what got me to buy it in the first place. That said, it's turned out to be a really good story. Warren has grasp on pop culture in general - and comic/sci-fi fanboy in particular - that is unequaled in comics today. It's a fine, fine *read*, not just a "look at the pretty pictures of a hot girl in bondage" book. Also, he knows good and well what his core audience is. The last chapter in vol. 2 features Emp explaining gag mechanics to the thug who has her bound, suspended, and (ineffectually) cleave gagged. That's not in there for $#its and giggles. > Instead of that nonsense, he needs to add MORE pages of > our cutie bound and gagged, not less. Vol 3. features a new character who is cashing in on Emp's trademarked heroine in distress persona, so plenty of action there. Emp's pal Ninjette is being hunted by old ninja nemeses and is shown chained on the cover, so another avenue to adventure. And, as mentioned before, he's added another full Librari-Emp story (which was the highlight of Vol. 2). In other words, Vol 3. will be fine. Finally, regarding the infrequency of publication: It's a 200+ page original graphic novel! Two annual volumes = nearly 500 pages of scripted and drawn material a year! Good googly moogly, man, what more can someone want? Bottom line is, if we want to keep this kind of material coming we should support it and not gripe about it. Pre-orders available now at Amazon or through your local comic shop. :) |

An Old Grey Friend wrote: > Instead of that nonsense, he needs to add MORE pages of > our cutie bound and gagged, not less. I feel kind of...dirty...saying this, but I disagree. Don't get me wrong, Emp's a great damsel and I love that one of my favorite comic writers is playing up to ny kinks, but whenever I read through Empowered, I catch myself thinking things that I've never thought before, like, "I wish she weren't tied up as much." Like I said, I feel dirty saying it, but I have to respectfully disagree. > Who would play the lead? Elisha Cuthbert? Jessica Alba? Alycia Purrott? |

Saturday February 02 14:03:17 2008 Re: Flash Gordon gag scene |
I normally consider the show a waste both for our specialized interests and aesthetically, so I would never have caught it if Pat hadn't spotted the scene. Many thanks, dude! It was short but sweet, and I love seeing Carrie Genzel getting the full treatment. Thanks to Van for crafting a thorough database entry so rapidly, as well. I was going to make myself useful on that score -- for once -- but you were already there. Despite all the complaints, this is an invaluable site. It saves us from wasting time and helps great scenes avoid slipping through the cracks. You rock, fellas! |

Just my opinion, but the scene looks like it sucks; really bad look for Sarah, thin loose gag, looks she's wearing a tent, you don't see her body at all, she barely moves, not a keeper, sorry. |

Saturday February 02 18:52:52 2008 Holby City - BBC1 UK premiere |
According to an interview with Tina Hobley who plays Sister Chrissie williams, this Tuesday's episode in the UK will see her charector taken hostage by her psychotic ex-boyfriend "Chrissie thinks she's met the perfect man but this week Stuart turns into a real bunny boiler. When she finds him passed out drunk on the operating table she tells him he's pathetic & that it's over, but it backfires. A raging Stuart grabs a scalpel and slashes her face. It's a terrible moment of passionate rage. I feel viewers will still have sympathy for him at that moment - but not for long as Stuart then locks the theatre door, straps her to the table, gags her and tries to stitch the wound himself" |

Did you see the clip, it looks like that's most of the scene with her b&g; unless she's tied at some other time in different clothes and different gag then I don't know. Are you saying there is more to it than that clip? |
