The scene with Tina Hobly did not pan out as the actress described - typical case of actor's hyperbole i'm afraid. No straps, rather her captor injects her with some form of anaesthetic to partially paralyse her. She is stuff gagged though, and does a fair bit of moaning through the gag . And she is in uniform, so not a complete waste of time. |

I watched all of the remake of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" with her and Peter Fonda hoping for a scene for her, or at least some dinosaurs, but I got no scenes and very little in the way of dinosaurs, though there was one great scene involving a mosasaur snatching a pterodactyl out of the air (it was hovering too close to the water). |

Wednesday February 06 19:46:49 2008 Millennium: late alert |
Just flipping channels and found that Millennium is now on Chiller channel. Tonight at the 3am reairing on Chiller, there is a quick scene. At the 30' mark, guy knocks nurse out with a punch and proceeds to apply a duct tape blindfold. At the 36' mark, detective examines an eyeglass lens and we get a quick replay of her getting the blindfold applied along with a couple second shot of her getting a duct tape gag also. Nothing else for her since she is found dead. Episode is "Dead Letter". Didn't see the first 30 minutes so can't say what happened before then. Still 15 minutes to go. |

=========================================== Record number: 13209 Title: Death Note Medium: Other Actress: Misa Description: Episode: "Activity" (2.2) This is the anime version of the very good suspense/thriller manga. It's complex to explain the plot but here's a try: The Death Note of the title is a note given to shinigamis (gods of death that are usually invisible to human eyes) and anyone whose name is written on it dies. Of course, there are a lot of rules to prevent alias being killed and such. And one 'Death Note' ends up in the hands of a god-of-Justice-wannabe (and brilliant psycho) called Light Yagami who start killing evildoers... and anyone else who stand in his way by using the book and adopting the codename Kira (Killer). A second Death Note ends up in the hands of Misa, a young actress/singer who loves Kira because he killed the man who murdered her whole family, and she becomes the second Kira. And somewhere in the story a third Kira appears. By now both Light and Misa are amnesiac and forgot about their experience as Kira, so they willingly help the police to track down the third Kira. The police end up finding that their target is one of many young executives of a company, so they set a trap. In the process Misa is used as bait. That's when Rem, the female shinigami who gave her Death Note to Misa and now is working with the third Kira, decides to interfere. She has sort of a big-sister feeling toward Misa and doesn't want that she gets hurt. So she waits until Misa goes to the bathroom and while she is catching some air, Rem makes her touch a shred of a page of her death note, becoming visible to Misa. Since the shinigamis in this story are monstrous beings Misa attempts to scream for help when she see that thing materializing behind her (she's in front of a mirror), but Rem is faster. She grabs and handgags Misa and tries to calm her down by telling her things that she forgot, like that Light is the original Kira. But since Rem's hand is big as its owner, the air supply of Misa is cut so Rem is forced to let her go. But Misa is delighted to know (she hasn't recovered her memory) that Light is Kira, and they start talking about him, her and other things. Good scene of a very big humanoid handgagging a relatively short girl, some good close-ups. PS: There are at least two other scenes in the anime, but I'll have to find out if they appear and in which episode. =========================================== The "Other" category is used for Commercials & Music Videos for the Search feature. In this case, cartoons, you run it in as TV Series. This how it'll be going in: Title: Desu nôto aka Death Note Medium: TV Series Actress: Animated (Voiced by Aya Hirano) --------- We've set it up so "Animated" in the Actress Field will bring up all cartoons in the search |

Wednesday February 06 22:20:14 2008 Grange Hill |
The BBC had a story about the end of Grange Hill after 30 years on TV along with a set of photos of memorable events. Listed was a recent abduction story-line together with a pic of a handgagged girl being dragged away. Did this story not generate a scene or was it considered inappropriate for the database? |
