Monday December 17 00:23:34 2007 Site update |
This week I'm putting up my review of "Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yaks," a movie veeeeery loosely based on John Willies' "Sweet Gwendoline" comi... er, graphic novels. The movie is actually one-up on most film works based on texts with lots of bondage content, in that it has actual bondage content ... and plenty of it. Also, lots of nudity. And some of that nudity comes in the form of a young, hot Tawny Kitaen (see pic). This movie had a lot going for it. But ... |

Monday December 17 04:14:38 2007 Yet another Criminal Minds possibility for 12/19? |
Overseen tonight while watching the Survivor finale (yes, for some reason I still go in for these things): "TWO GIRLS KIDNAPPED. ONE IS STILL ALIVE" in voiceover and ye olde giant scary font. No images of interest in the promo -- just a sound spectrum on a monitor as a girl screams "Daddy, help me, please!" -- but anything can happen. |

Monday December 17 12:15:44 2007 The Ultimate Gag Poll |
Hi gang, Okay, we've got a very interesting poll going on at the GIMP right now, and we need your opinions to help us settle this once and for all. One of our posters commented, "Why they can't ever gag a girl right in mainstream movies?" which led to the current discussion and poll we have going right now: GIMP POLL: What kind of gag(s) do you most favor in your bondage scenes? A. Tape B. Ballgag C. Cleave D. Ring gag E. Bit gag F. Over the Mouth G. Jaw spreader H. Strap gag I. Something else J. No gag, it obstructs her face Stop by the GIMP (direct link to the forum is http://books.dreambook.com/zfxetc/main.html: Warning adult images there if you're squeamish) and give us your opinions, and tell us why you think the way you do. Remember the only WRONG answer is to not answer at all. What you have to say is important, so get over there and VOTE! See you there later. |

Interestingly, one of the other stars of the film, Gemma Arterton, is supposedly "confirmed" as the one of the next "Bond girls," appearing in the next 007 pic (which may actually be called "007," if Daniel Craig is to be believed). Let's see if we can't improve on that blinky of an Eva Green scene, OK Mr. Haggis? |

Monday December 17 19:53:58 2007 Does anyone know of any Lee Child novels with B/G damsels in it? |
Does anyone know any Lee Child novels with bound and gagged DiD's in them. Also does anyone know any John Saul and other authors with bound gagged did's in them. Thnaks. I also just found a new book by Carol Higgins Clark "Burnned" that has some bound action in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Monday December 17 20:42:43 2007 Idea for a killer app |
So I had this idea a while back about creating a script which would check the current TV listings against Brian's database and automatically generate a list of potential VCR alerts. Obviously, there would be missed alerts and false positives, but it might save our dedicated alerters some effort and also inform us all of scenes which would have otherwise gone unnoticed. There are a number of challenges here that I'm only just beginning to think through, and before anyone gets his hopes up, I should make it clear that I'm promising absolutely nothing at this point. (I'd also like to assure the Engineer that I believe this could be done with little or no effort on his part, and with minimal impact on his server. My initial thought is that I'd download the full DB once a week to pick up changes, check it against the listings, and post the results on my site, all as an automated part of my weekly updates.) Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts, feel free to respond here or drop me a line. I'm particularly interested in learning about any listings sites that people find particularly useful. The more "machine-readable" the better -- i.e. sites that involve tons of fancy formatting or lots of clicking around to get a comprehensive list probably wouldn't be all that useful. I don't know much about what's out there right now in this regard, since I usually just search listings on my TiVo. |

Monday December 17 21:19:46 2007 Re: Idea for a killer app |
Update: I think I may have found the perfect tool for the listings end of this project (see link). Beyond the fact that it's based around XML and Perl, which should make me feel right at home, I especially like this part: "At present there are back-ends grabbing TV listings for Australia, Belgium and Luxembourg, Brazil, Argentina, Britain and Ireland, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary and Romania, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, North America, Norway, Portugal, Reunion Island (France), South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland." Yikes! I'm definitely going to have to play with this a bit over the holidays... |

Zap2it listed it for Tues at 6pm and Wed at 9:12am, but Directv only lists if for Wed at 9:12am. Zap2it seems not to be very reliable. Zap2it crawls on my connection, but I swear it listed for Tues. Now they list on Wed. episode at 9:12am. Confusion alerts are due to my dialup going back to speeds of anywhere from 12 to 19Kbps and then disconnecting during a post. I would then reconnect and "back step" to reenter the data. I found that I may have "back stepped one to many" and didn't very my data. |

The more > "machine-readable" the better -- IMDB lists series like Walker, Texas Ranger and some other shows that air on Fox, CW, and the other big 3. When you enter the episode lists, it lists all episodes and has listings of times and channels for most of the airings. Some do not, but I use it for Law & Order and Walker posts. They list like this: Season 9, Episode 16: 6 Hours Original Air Date: 14 April 2001 Next US airings: Wed. Dec. 26 7:00 PM HALMRK Thur. Dec. 27 1:00 AM HALMRK By the way, alert as been posted for above example. |

Monday December 17 22:47:55 2007 Ashlee Simpson- "Outta My Head" video |
Ashlee to appear on TRL Thurs 12/20 to premiere her new video. A few tidbits of what to expect, according to MTV: "...When she wakes, she finds herself bound to the studio floor by cables, as if she's now caught in "Gulliver's Travels" and everyone else has been shrunk down to Lilliputian size. She breaks free, sending the tiny people flying, and when she sits up, she's seemingly safe in her own bedroom." And later: "...Defending herself with parts of the melting clock, Ashlee is captured by two men in white with a padded wagon, who put her in a padded room and a straitjacket. She springs from the floor and sticks high on the walls, leaping and sticking to opposite walls as the attendants try to reach her, until ultimately, she's hanging upside down. " |
