I remember NBC did a huge promotional run for this series, starting the promos more than a month before the debut episode in March 1997. They only aired 2 episodes before it was canceled. Four more were made that never aired. Too bad we couldn't fast forward through them just in case. In the promo, they showed Mariska getting tape-gagged on screen with the thug coming from behind and placing the tape over her lips. That angle was never shown in the episode, just a quick glance of the tape being applied from a side angle but you really can't see much from that angle. |

There was however, a chair tie for Carolyn Pickles, who was much more recently b&g in "Emmerdale". |

| Okay, fess up. Which one of you jokers is posting "kid's reviews" of Nancy Drew books on Amazon? It's rather priceless. In sadder news, I recently learned that the Sundance premiere of the "Funny Games" remake is the day after I have to leave the festival in a couple weeks. Sorry...wish I could report back from Park City on any tasty (though undoubtedly a bit depressing) Naomi Watts goodness. |

| In this week's issue of JLA: Classified, #50, Wonder Woman gets caught in her lasso by a hulking monster. She gets tied up and knocked out, and there's a couple of good panels. Fair warning, though: in the end, she winds up tied back to back with Supes, as the cover image shows (and the bondage is better). But there are a few panels with no super-interference. | I'm a big fan of scenes in romance novels. I think what I like about them is that there is usually no murder or blood or rape (and if there is rape, the woman falls in lover w/ him later), high potential for scenes with little or no clothing, and the threat of sexual tension. Most of what I have found is from searching pages in amazon.com. Here are some of my favorite "scenes" Wild Orchids by Karen Robards. Woman tied to bed hand and foot, and stripped naked, and gagged with her own bra! lasts several pages. No rape. Earth Song by Catherine Coulter. Woman tied to bed and stripped naked. No gag. Jade Star by Coulter. Woman tied to bed and shirt stripped off. No gag I believe Sea Fire by Robards. Tied naked to bed, hand and foot. No gag I believe Prisoner of my Desire. chained to bed naked. Gagged. Raped. Tell me Lies by Claudia Dain. Tied to mast of a ship. No gag. Picture of this is on the front of the book. Island Flame by Robards. Tied to a pillar, hand and foot, gagged. Shirt ripped open. Pride of Hannah Wade by Janet Dailey. Staked out on ground, naked, bound hand and foot. No gag |
