Thursday January 24 06:11:07 2008 Torchwood UK |
Series 2 of Torchwood is currently airing in the UK, episode 2 "Sleeper" has a prolonged handcuff scene for guest star Nikki Akuma-Bird, Not especially exciting as scenes go but the details are in the database for those who are interested. Still to come in this season the lovely Freema Agyeman gets strapped down by a mad scientiest. Looking forward to that one. |

J wrote: > It's on Youtube called Distretto Pandolfi. I can't find > it in the database but I love it. Anyone know anything > about it (other than it's Italian)? You couldn't know that Pandolfi is the family name of the actress: Record number: 12227 Title: Distretto di polizia 5 Medium: TV Series Actress: Claudia Pandolfi Description: Episode: "La Scelta" (5.26) (Based on a video clip of the scene) Kidnapped by gunpoint, our heroine is forced to drive to a house and enter it. In a room she is tied up-hands behind her back with rope, ankles taped together. When left there she manages, after some hard work, to free herself by rubbing the ropes around her wrists against a sharp edge in the wall. She makes a run for it, but is caught again, and this time she is put into a hogtie including ropes around her neck and upper arms, rendering her helpless. No gag Saved by some hero in the end. She wears a white shirt and blue jeans. |

I know that the networks are broadcasting a lot of reruns these days. |

Funny part of this episode, to me, was at the beginning of the episode when one of the two guys who discover the bad guy's stash of bondage magazines in the storage unit they have just bought asks the other one "Who buys this stuff?" |

Thursday January 24 17:36:51 2008 Olivia Munn in bondage |
I am curious as to whether anyone knows more information about an episode of that insipid TV show, "Attack of the Show!," on chanel G4 or whatever in which the host Olivia Munn is tied up. I have left two links to some horrible photage of in on the video page. I would also like to note that I would love to see her obnoxious mouth gagged for an entire episode. |

Thursday January 24 17:44:09 2008 VVV Update |
I've updated the Van's Vidcap Vault. Selections include: Days of Our Lives (Kristian Alfonso), Log of the Black Pearl (Anne Archer), General Hospital (Emma Samms), Babylon 5 (Patricia Tallman), and The Fall Guy (Heather Thomas) These particular selections were updated to the original VVV site the week of September 7, 2001, and can still be seen there (in all their bandwidth-restricted glory) at http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/5205/didcaps.html |

And the correct answer is "Nobody, because nobody sells 'em any more because all the bondage mags went out of biz back in the 90s with the rise of the Internet. Then again, IIRC correctly, his magazine collection was said to have spanned a long time. The ep WAS chock full of misinformation and stupidity, I gotta say. "If you want to stop serial killers, don't ban "Catcher in the Rye" ban "Hustler"" the Joe Mantegna character said. Hey, I had no idea it would be that easy. Come to think of it, I still don't. It sounds like a classic piece of pro-censorship dumb-assery. I mean, that was one great bondage scene -- well lit, lengthy, nice tight cleave -- but the setting it was in was pure garbage. Also, you'd think a guy who read and collected bondage mags would have come up with some more dramatic, effective bondage. Shibari, a head harness ballgag, a wrist-ankle tie with a spreader bar -- something not usually seen on TV. They'd certainly laid the groundwork for something like that. |

Thursday January 24 18:29:19 2008 Diane Lane |
Untraceable has a scene in the last 10 minutes or so of Ms. Lane hung upside down. She is dragged in a room and looks around a bit. She is gagged with a knotted wash cloth. She is held legs together andhands in front with big zip ties. She is shown suspended by a wench at struggle quite a bit. She is bearing jeans, boots and a long sleeve gray shirt. |

Haven't seen the episode but as other under-researched or otherwise exploitive plots I've seen it doesn't surprise me. In fact, I'm sure the writers/producers realized guys into those magazines really don't act on impulse and kidnap someone so they just used those magazines as a plot device to make the villain 'seem' sociopathic. That and I'm sure they were either too cheap or lazy to hire a rigger for realistic bondage or they couldn't find a rigger willing to do it after reading the script. Either way, at least we can count on that show to deliver from time to time. |

To be perfectly accurate, the Joe Mantegna character was QUOTING Ted Bundy, the REAL-LIFE serial killer. Just when you think TV characters can't say anything more stupid, they come up with something like that. Pat, I completely agree with you. I made this same point last night. Thursday January 24 19:51:27 2008 "Damsels in Dumb Distress" |
I just saw a clip that started out great but ended with the most ridiculous scene I have ever seen two damsels subjected to: http://www.majorjohns.com/der_clown.rm First you see them lying side by side quite nicely, one wearing a skirt and boots bound hand and foot. Next they're both tied to the outside of a hot air balloon in motion with a bomb attached. WTF?! I expect comic book villains to go through this much trouble, not the average criminal. Does anyone have a memory of a scene even more ridiculous than this in a drama? Excluding camp/comedy shows and movies such as "Batman" and "The Avengers" of course since anything goes in a comedy -- then again, maybe "Der Clown" is a comedy though the database notes it as an "action series". |
