Indy-4 Trailer Buzz-kill
The Ain't It Cool site has a posting from some guy who claims to have seen the V-day Indy-4 trailer, and from his description... there's no Marion DiD scene. {Sigh} Not a *major* surprise, as the earlier rumor was about a trailer *concept*. Paramount probably has an entire filing cabinet devoted to Indy-4 trailer concepts.

So... even if there's no B&G'd Marion in the trailer, there's always the actual movie... which I'll be seeing no matter what. :-D

Heh, and speaking of "Raiders"...

Three 12-year-old film geeks, a dream, and possibly a damsel? Anyone see it way back when? (I'm there in a couple weeks regardless, because really, just how awesome is that?)

Yes, I'm curious about that, too, and going one further has anyone posted these scenes on one of the vid sites (youtube, dailymotion, etc.)? Thanks.

Great! How does she manage to fight?

JJ, the movie opens in theaters tonight. Where did you see it already?

'Rambo' Review
"Conveniently, if not coincidentally, Rambo happens upon the shed in which Sarah is bound and gagged just as she's about to be physically assaulted by a captor."

Wow. Two hotties I've been wanting to see bound and gagged for a long time are getting it in two separate movies opening tonight! Sweeeeeeeet!

Of course, reviews of other movies having mentioned an actress being 'gagged' when she's only tied up

Definitely not gagged in the trailer so likely a reviewer's loose use of the term 'bound and gagged'

I've never seen it, but I'm 99% sure there is a b&g scene. It's quite a fun story about how it was made. (They've shown mini-documentaries about it on TCM and the Today show). By any chance does anyone have a copy of this? Please post in the trading forums!

Raffish, please report back after you see it. I'd like to hear your review.

Happened in the Rachel Nichols movie, so I don't think it's being negative although odds are in our favor in most cases that phrase is used.

Current New York Magazine-Julie Benz excerpt
Those pigs were about 400 pounds each, and there were four of them. I was tied pretty tight into that pigpen by my neck and my hands, and my mouth was gagged. At one point while we were filming one of the pigs broke through the fence and actually came right at me. I was freaking out, and they were rushing in to try to get me out, and of course Sly is in the background yelling, "Keep the cameras rolling!"

Yahoo Writer's Strike Watch
On the last new episode of "CSI Miami" to air on January 14th, Kyle’s mother, Julia, suddenly popped into Horatio’s life when the CSI investigated the death of her dead billionaire husband. When it was time for Kyle to face his day in court for the kidnapping of Kathleen Newberry, the case was thrown out after Kathleen didn’t show up for court. It turns out Kathleen was bound, gagged and thrown in the water and Horatio is convinced that Julia had something to do with this latest crime which, coincidentally, kept her son out of jail. Another interview:

I was really tied up in my prisoner scenes. There was no fake tying, and I couldn't get away. In one of the scenes, pigs broke through that little fence. I was already doing my work to freak out, and all of a sudden it's a real freak-out when you have a 400 pound pig sniffing your toes and you have Sly yelling "Keep it going! Keep rolling!" I was freaking out big-time. I needed a lot of comfort after that.

Similiar interview by Emily Vancamp for 'Glory Days':

What's the most embarrassing thing that's happened on the Everwood set?

Nothing yet, thankfully! But when I was filming Glory Days, I had a terrible day--I was tired from a really hectic day before. So for this scene, my mouth was gagged and my arms were tied around my back. I was supposed to run away, and the bad guy was supposed to catch me. But I ran so fast, he didn't catch me. I lost my balance and banged my head on a camera really hard, so everybody was like, "Are you OK?" I just started to sob. I was so embarrassed! It hurt but, on top of that, everybody was rushing around me, and it overwhelmed me. I couldn't stop crying for like an hour. I was like, "Guys, I'm fine. I just can't stop crying!" I'm so clumsy.

Triple-Play
So let me get this straight: opening in theaters this weekend are Untraceable (featuring Diane Lane gagged), Rambo (featuring Julie Benz gagged), and The Air I Breathe (featuring Sarah Michelle Gellar gagged). Is it just me or is 2008 off to a very promising start?

Making up for the lousy TV season so far, with the "Criminal Minds" scene and one "Chuck" scene being exceptions.

Rambo
I hate to disappoint everybody, but I've just seen the actual movie. Neither Julie Benz nor anyone else is gagged in this flick. The photo that appeared here a few days back, of Benz sitting down with her hands behind her and a rope around her neck, is just about all there is. We see that shot for about 7 or 8 seconds. Subsequently we see dozens of very short and very fragmentary shots of her that show almost nothing. The bit with the pig was so obscure that until I read Brian's Page just now, I didn't know that's what I'd seen. Since the rest of the movie is a feast of excess, it's strange that Stallone scants the bondage.

Find it hard to believe that much of the audience, not just bondage afficiandoes, would not prefer to see a little more of a very pretty woman in distress and a little less of 50 something Stallone playing Super GI Joe. But if Sly was directing I guess I understand.

Re: Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation
Vanity Fair did an excellent article on the Adaptation a few years ago which specifically mentions the gag scene. During the filming of the scene where Indy finds Marion in the tent, the young actors really started making out and they had to film it over and over.

Sometimes it sucks being so right all the time

Funny thing is, she probably really was gagged, it just got cut out of the film

Keep in mind a lot more is shot in filming than makes it into the final cut. Giving her the benefit of the doubt: Could be the shot she talked about suffered from either a technical error or the producers/editor felt they didn't need the shot and wanted to keep the film below a certain time limit -- let's just say that there are numerous reasons why that shot may not be there.

Nice find; have to admit besides the bondage I think this is the best trailer they've produced so far, it best represents the horror.

I'm posting the link to the flash file itself on the video page in case anyone wants to download it. Thank the coders of that web page for making it easy to find.

This is a very plausible explanation. The aforementioned scene was most likely filmed with her both bound AND gagged, but the scenes in which she was gagged were excised from the final version. As our esteemed colleague Van says, "It's about the story, not about the bondage".
Perhaps the scene in which she was bound and gagged will be included in the "Deleted Scenes" feature of the DVD?

Diane Lane on Late, Late Show
Diane Lane is a guest on tonight's "Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson", obviously to plug her new movie "Untraceable" (in which she is bound and gagged). They probably will not be showing a clip of her bondage scene, but you never know. Also, there is a chance that she could mention something about it.
