Re: Lynda Carter
Remember, Lynda Carter was an unknown when she got the part of wonder woman so its not a bad thing if an unknown gets it. but she MUST have curves! so calista flockhart is out then LOL. But i think they'll F*** it up regardless cos Hollywood does not care about their films history or fans.

Does anyone ever have anything optimistic to say on here? Virtually every post is about how a scene was ruined, or how a scene that hasn't even been cast, scripted, or even conceived yet, is going to be ruined.
One thread is complaining that they made scenes too similar to the comic and looks fake, now another is how Hollywood is going to ruin it by not following the comics faithfully? This is a no win situation here.

C'mon folks, lighten up. Pessimism isn't going to get you anything but disappointment. If you expect to be disappointed, then no matter how good the payoff is, you'll still end up disappointed. if you look forward to the scene with an open mind, you'll probably enjoy it better.

A new DiD scene is still a DiD scene that you didn't have before, whether they cast a known or an unknown, or if the gag is cloth or tape, etc.
I'm looking forward to the Jessica Alba scene, and will probably check out the other new ones that have just come out like Hostage, Miss Congenieality 2, etc when they come out on DVD.

STARGATE: ATLANTIS SCIFI CHANNEL
Main female lead is blindfolded and bound hands behind back while in talks with enemy leader. She is in uniform but has some nice long shots of the blindfold. May be more but don't expect much.

Torri Higginson is the main lead. About the middle of the episode. Nothing else.

A good point. A new scene, as lame as it may seem, is still a scene. What we are experiencing now is, I think, a crossroads into supposed "reality" TV. When I was a young lad of, oh, 14 or 15 and I saw Mary Ann being tied to the stake by Gilligan..god I thought I'd never see anything quite so provocative the rest of my life!! Obviously I was wrong!!

Now, the New Gilligan's Island reality version..3 gorgeous ladies tied to stakes hands behind backs...and there's barely a mention of it here. Yet we eagerly anticipate the 4/8 and 4/9 episodes of TJ Hooker.

The times..they are a'changin....or are they?

D.E.B.S.
I noticed that D.E.B.S. came out yesterday (Good Friday) in the States. Any Yanks seen it yet and if yes is there anything of interest in it? It seemed to have potential.

Agreed.

To the people who continuously moan and complain that the bondage on mainstream TV/movies, doesn't meet their minimum standards: Stop being cheap, go out and purchase commercial bondage -- there is sure to be material there that fits your specifications -- and support those hard-working models and photographers who are trying to grind out a living.

On the other hand, for many Brian's Pagers, the reason that we have an interest in mainstream bondage is that the identity of the DiD actress is of higher importance than the strictness or "reality" of the bondage itself, have less reason to whine about a topic that's of little importance to scriptwriters, the producer, and 99%+ of the audience. So if all one sees of Jessica Alba in "Sin City" is a wrists tied-in-front sans gag, it's of more importance that the film itself is worth watching -- and any DiD scenes are merely a bonus.

Jeez, I never meant to imply that LC should be the NEW Wonder Woman, only that she was so absolutely perfect in the role that anyone else, be it established actress or newcomer, will likely suffer in comparison.

>>>>As for the role of WW, I get the feeling it may go to a
relative unknown, just as the Superman role has.<<<<<

It used to be SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to cast unknowns as "the hero" but then Michael Keaton came along and did a great job as BATMAN, even though I still find it laughable seeing a 5' 9", 160 pound Dark Knight.

actress getting the part.<<<<<

10 years ago you might have been right, but Jen's 35 now and she also recently had a... it hurts to even write it... breast reduction... aaaaggh!

RE:RE: Lynda Carter
Lynda was not exactly an UNKNOWN when she debuted in 'Wonder Woman'.

She had been in several bands one of which had been an opening act in Las Vegas.

She was also Miss World USA 1972, an old fashion high profile beauty [no pretense about other attributes, just an old fashioned meat market] pagent. Something like that meant something way back then :-)

According to stories in the media of the time, the Wonder Woman TV series was basically designed as a vehicle for her.

According to IMDB, Catherine Zeta Jones is Lynda's first choice to portray WW in a new movie.

Thanks for the info Jacot..I for one didn't know that much about Ms. Carter's background pre-WW. Interesting stuff.

Neither did I know that LC was endorsing Catherine Zeta Jones for the WW role..I think she would be absolutely perfect for the part. She even looks a bit like Lynda.

CZJ won't be WW
Whedon and company are skewing much, much younger for the new incarnation of Wonder Woman. There is no way a 40-ish Zeta Jones will be under consideration. Think Jessica Biel.

I'm praying that Jessica Alba has gotten the comic book bug and will volunteer to put on the lasso (literally speaking)

No problem with either Jessica though...LOL

I don't care who Wonder Woman is (not much anyway)
I just hope she gets an AOH scene this time around. Lynda Carter never did. The only thing close was that spreadeagle in Murderous Missile and it wasn't filmed very well. It is always possible the version I saw on SciFi channel was edited and lost much of that scene.

Doctor Who
As expected, no tie-up for Rose (Billie Piper) in the first ep transmitted here in the UK tonight, but she does get attacked by a disembodied plastic arm, the hand of which clamps over her face, Alien face-hugger style, and tries to suffocate her.

Some mmmphing from under the "hand", if I heard correctly in this noisy fight scene. No real close-ups, though.

Anyone have any caps? Torri is pushing the age limit (IMDB doesn't have birthday) but she is a hottie.

Well gee, you got me there. A few Vegas people knew her name and those who follow pageants obviously knew her, BUT, to the AVERAGE American, before WW, if you said "Lynda Carter" 99.9% would say, "who?"

Alien Apocalpyse
Sci-Fi channel is showing this movie now, and will repeat it at midnight (Central Time).

Has Renee (Xena: Warrior Princess)O'Connor and some putz as astronauts who return - Planet of the Apes-like - to an Earth that has been taken over by giant termites.

Just surfed into the show, so I didn't see the beginning, but both astronauts have rope around their hands. In addition, the humans are kept quiet by being forced to wear 'masks' (gags) that seem magical or something.

Long story short - Renee O'Connor gagged but not bound.

Re: Alien Apocalypse
Renee is OTM gagged with a strap for a good portion of the first hour of this movie. Being a Sci-Fi "original," it will be run into the ground, no doubt.

Man, I feel like I killed a few brain cells just fast forwarding to get to the gag parts of the movie. Does anyone at SciFi have any standards at all? I've seen better acting in porno movies. Ever notice that 90% of these SciFi orginals involve either reptiles or insects. Last week's original movie was "Mansquito".

Anyway, the gag scenes start almost from the beginning. Some villagers/slaves are shown gagged although it's hard to tell the men from the women because everyone has long hair. There's a close-up of Renee (who still has that tight little bod from her Xena days) and another female astronaut (who's killed shortly after) being gagged. The gag is removed and put back on throughout the first 35 minutes when they make their first escape attempt. There's a nice little scene right before the escape with Renee with her hands in stocks, arms overhead about to be whipped for goofing off at her slaving duties. It's the only time she's shown bound and gagged.

Renee is recaptured and is shown between the 50-60' mark bound hand and ankle to a pole being carried back into the work compound. Unfortunately, she's not gagged in this scene which would have been great. She's shown gagged again back at her slaving duties around the 80-85' mark and once more around the 95-100' mark.

The gag looks just like a piece of dark brown suede with metal studs sewn in and cut to shape to give it the appearance of one of those leather gags in the bondage world. As I mentioned, Renee is still in great shape, but she's wearing her white spacesuit/jumpsuit throughout the entire movie. There are a couple of close-ups of her gagged face, but more mid-range shots standing next to some gagged putz. There also a couple of close-up shots of two nameless villagers/slaves who are just average looking.

Disclaimer: The scene times were what was reported from my DVR and could be off. If you want to be 100% sure to catch all of the scenes, record the entire movie.
