The Sinatra version is the only one I've ever heard of.

Well, yes and no. Nothing in Thursday's episode, but the promos next week show, I think, Veronica gagged. It's a flashback scene to when she was drugged and attacked in a nightclub. Someone gets a stuff gag for sure.

I'm not certain the actress is Kristen Bell, since she appears to have a different hairstyle. But you can look at the caps and judge for yourself. At the top of the photo albums.

Sky High
Sorry if I've missed an earlier discussion of this. But has anyone seen anything on the new super hero movie, Sky High? Its a bit like THE INCREDIBLES in that it's about a family of superheros except with real life actors instead of animation. In fact it features BOTH the lovey Kelly Preston AND HER MAJESTY LYNDA CARTER!!!! Kelly plays a superheroine mom while Lynda plays an instructor at a SUPERHERO HIGH SCHOOL. Don't know what kind of costume Lynda wears but Kelly looks hot, hot, hot in hers. Since it's about Preston's son trying to prove himself it's possible that Kelly and/or Lynda may get captured by bad guys. In the article it said that students at the school all go through a dialy practice routine called "Rescue the Citizen" so theres some possible good scenes right there.
Definitely a movie that has potential to become a BRIAN'S PAGE CLASSIC!

Not to mention the even lovlier Mary Elizabeth Winsted, who had a nice scene in "Wolf Lake" and is the first actress listed in the credits.

of interest, perhaps
Hello. Ran across this website and thought it might be of interest to some of you folks.

http://www.sexuality.org/l/bdsm/bdsmfilm.html

It is a list (no caps, etc.) of bondage in films. Be forewarned: it is both girls and putzes; however, as it is only text, I don't imagine many of you will be made squeemish.

Honestly, I didn't give it too thorough a look, but I thought I'd go ahead and post it. Check it out if you like.

Bondage in Opera?
Pamina's hands are often tied in "The Magic Flute." Does anyone know of other operas that call for bondage?

In the Major's Update he has this clip marked Korean Airlines.

For the purpose of ID'ing,
believe the characters that show up are Japanese?

Perhaps this really a Japanese show.

Favour?
try and catch the OMNI news shows, incase I can't get them all.
They'll likely be on about Bertuzzi & Naslund again, so can check the subtitles.
Sure Korean's have circles in their characters.

Let me know over on DB Corrections.

You bet! The classic Verdi opera "Rigoletto" has a scene written into the script where the heroine is gagged. It is a very brief scene, as she needs to sing not long after she appears.

The audio and text are definitely japanese. I think this a re-enactment of something that took place in the early 80s. I forgot what they did, but two Koreans terrorists (a male and a female) were caught. Before they could extradite the male terrorist, he committed suicide by swallowing some kind of poison. To keep the female terrorist from doing the same, they taped up her mouth for the entire flight back. I remember the AP news photo. I may still have it somewhere.

The Major's Updates
For those interested in identifying the Asian scenes:

The clip of the "Superheroine" has Yuki Kudou as a damsel; check the Database no. 10370;

The "Yakuza" clip MAY show actresses Atsuki Kato and Naomi Hosokawa, as these two were credited on a Japanese DID page with this movie; but the title remains a mystery.

According to the IMDb, there's only one version of this Boy's Own turkey, and personally I think that's plenty. The (impossibly long-range) steam locos and the tie-up scene appeal to two of my personal tastes, but otherwise I'd never bother with it. As for the thug "hero" shooting the tragically misguided damsel in the back after her plucky escape - words fail me!

There are several bondage scenes in the film; I particularly like the facial close-ups on Ms Carra and her wriggling to pick up the piece of glass with which to cut her and the German guy's bonds.

Gag is nice and tight at the top, but something of an amorphous loosie further down. There may be stuffing behind it, but we're never shown that.

A railway war film that IS in black and white, with an authentic '40s appearance, is "The Train" by John Frankenheimer. Though shot after VRE (man, that capital 'v' sucks!), this movie, inspired by actual events, was also made in the 1960s, and is vastly better in every respect. You can almost smell the steam and feel the grit.

Its one awful omission was the exclusion of the lovely Jeanne Moreau from the scene in which male railway workers tie and gag each other to simulate the aftermath of a Resistance raid. She was working in a railmen's hotel just yards away, and was in on the plot, but nobody thought to include her.

This, if anything, shows that most good movies are driven by the requirements of a credible story, not by any desire to pander to fets like us. Gratuitous DiD scenes are great fun when done properly, but I feel they are a corny cliche that has only a minor place in serious drama.

Bizet's Carmen sees it's heroine marched off to prison usually with her hands tied. She sings a whole aria on the march there so it's a long scene but different directors interpret it different ways, there are some mediocre versions with her hands tied in front of her in sort of rope handcuffs and some decent crossed wrists behind back versions too.

It's also well worth checking out the Dorothy Dandridge scene in 'Carmen Jones' for a great contemporary twist on the film and this scene.

Anyone know this movie?
I have forgotten the name of a film that has a scene towards the end. It's foreign--Swedish maybe--and was made within the last five years or so. It ends with a blonde woman hogtied with ducttape on a stretcher, an unconscious man next to him. She screams a lot and can attract no atttention, so she rolls off the gourney and onto the floor, where she wriggles over broken glass to get to an alarm that she manages to reach by slithing up a wall.

If that description isn't good enough I have some caps I could send. Thanks.

Re: Copying from DVDs
I dunno guys, but about 10-12 years ago I purchased what is called a Digital Video Stabilizer RX II from an ad in a magazine. It's a small box-like device run by a 9-volt battery. It has an input & an output for 1/8th inch RCA plugs. You simply hook it up between your playback VCR or DVD player and your recording device. It's advertised as "intended to stabilize & restore picture quality of commercially recorded tapes (I bought it before DVD players were the new thing) encoded with copyright protection".

The thing will eliminate all forms of copyguards (especially Macrovision). I've never run into a video (and now, a DVD) that I couldn't record over to a blank tape or disc. A great little thing, but I have no idea of where I got it from or if you can even purchase one, but it was just about the best $49 I ever spent. So things to bypass copyguards on pre-records DO exist out there.

I tried to cap with a primitive cap program I had (Windows 95!) but I didnt get anything. The movie is in WMV format which I've had trouble capping in the past. If someone has a simple program that might work, let me know.

list of bondage scenes in "adult" movies
I remember some time ago someone posted a page that had a bunch of bondage scenes in vanilla adult movies. The only movie that I seem to recall was La Femme Nikita Denise. Anyone know where I can find this? I tried looking through the remnants of Pat Powers' page, but only found a small list of other movies I hadnt seen before.

And if you want the best "I'm not REALLY bound, but I'm such a GOOD actress I can look like it all I want!" take on this scene, don't miss Beyonce's hands-behind-while-pretending-to-be-handcuffed sequence in "Hip Hopera: Carmen." Shows up on VH1 every now and then.

(Sorry about the punctuation corrections, Moxx. I'm posting this from a library, and I couldn't resist. Give me a break, though. After all, I DID leave the grammar alone...)

Digital Rights Management. Encoding and/or software that prevents a user from re-distributing a file or tearing it apart (for, in our case, caps or clips).

I saw a TV report on this at the time; two suspects, a man and a woman IIRC, were shown being escorted down the aircraft stairs, with a zoom in on their faces. It wasn't actually a gag, but a piece of gauze stuck on with narrow medical tape all around the edges - much simpler than the medical airway shown in the fictional version. The fear was that a sympathiser might come rushing up and hand the suspects suicide pills as they passed through the airport.

I have the exact same one, I bought it back in 1990. Most invaluable tool for building my DiD collection until I bought a computer. Still works as good as the day it was purchased.

tonight on Smallville Chloe (Alison Mack) was strapped down to an operating table near the end. I missed most of the episode so have no idea how she got in that predicament. She was not gagged in the part I saw and probably wasn't gagged earlier based on the gist of the show.

Price is Right "Bondage"
On today's Price is Right there was a faux bondage scene during the showcase. The blonde model, and best looking in my opinion, plays the role of a woman who gossips too much. At the end of the skit, the other two models gag her with a black strip of tape. The black model holds the gag on while the other holds the blonde's arms. Unfortunately, the blonde model is wearing a wig and big glasses so that she looks like a sterotypical gossip, but it was still interesting to see the other two models (who were looking pretty good) forcing a gag on her.

Is this a first for Price is Right bondage?

Check out local garage sales..Th older vcr's are great pre-auto tracking..Last weekend I picked up a stereo Panasonic PV 1461 stereo vcr.It ignores macrovision totally..I hit the unit with the most difficult copy guarded discs I have..Absolutley perfect copying without any copyguard box..It works great and was $3.00..

I just caught a brief glimpse, as I was fixing my cable it looked black and it looked like chloe.
Dammit, I didn't catch it on video :(
