Yes, Tamara Tungate. I recently did a search under google and if it's the same person (not exactly a common name) that came up, she hasn't done much since. She was listed in a talent site as doing voiceover work. Also found a mention that she was a 3rd or 4th place finisher in some beauty pageant some years ago, I think, in Oklahoma.

Pretty amazing that someone's acting career can consist of getting bound and gagged and kissed on her taped lips by Keanu Reeves.

TNT series
Kyra Sedgwick stars in a new series this summer on TNT called "The Closer" where she plays a cop/interrogator who rubs people the wrong way. No word on how many episodes, but it starts June 13.

In case your wondering, Miss Sedgwick has never had a scene, according to the DB. Like to see that streak broken up.

Can anyone think of actresses who've been bound and gagged and have also placed in major beauty pageants? I can immediately think of Shawn Weatherly, Halle Berry, and Laura Harring. The actress need not have won the pageant title, simply placed or participated. Furthermore, I'm referring to major pageants, such as Miss USA, Miss America, and the individual state pageants.
Do you think that these former pageant contestants could've imagined that they would someday be bound and gagged while they were smiling at the audience and parading in their swimsuits?

FBI Files
I accidentally tuned into this program on the Discovery Channel while mindlessly channel surfing. It immediately captured my attention with the re-enactment of a crime by Christopher Wilder, a serial killer from the Eighties who went on a cross-country killing spree.
Wilder used to pose as a photographer and solicit victims in shopping malls. They were attractive young women whom he tried to persuade to pose for him. If he did succeed in convincing them of his legitimacy, he would lure them to his car, whereupon he would overpower them and drive them to a motel, where he would hold them captive while he terrorized and finally killed them.
This episode had one decent shot of a woman in the back seat of a car with her mouth and eyes covered with duct tape. Another scene shows him ripping off a strip of duct tape, about to gag an unseen female victim. There are a few scenes with his victims tied to motel beds.

There was a Discussion thread on this a couple years ago. Quite few pageant contestants become actresses -- it's sort of a natural career for a beautiful woman who can put a few sentences together in front of cameras.

Pageant Winners include DiD Hall-of-Famer Lynda Carter (Miss USA, and Runnerup Miss World 1973); Lee Meriwether (Miss America 1955); Lindsay Bloom (Miss USA 1972); and Elizabeth Gracen (Miss America).

The movie "Easy Prey" was modeled after that situation.

New TV shows
I know it's early, but, just a head's up: Jennifer Love Hewitt
will star in TV's "The Supernatural" (Medium clone) with Aisha Tyler (from 24); other new shows feature Rebecca Romijn, Heather Graham, Alyson Hannigan, Melissa Joan Hart, Lara Flynn Boyle, & Shannen Doherty. Romijn's show, "Pepper Dennis", looks the best, a Veronica Mars clone with Rebecca as a reporter (the dad's part in VM). Several other FBI crime type shows in the link article undoubtedly with new hotties; some coming in summer, like The Inside, which has a scene in the trailer.

There was also a TV movie a few years back called "Easy Prey" about him that also had reenactments of the victim's bondage scenes.

I saw a good episode of that show recently where they were re-enacting some bank robberies. Several hotties were bound on the floor with hands behind (no gags). I might start recording that show to see if scenes pop up.

Renewals, cancellations
"Eyes" and "Blind Justice" both were canceled by ABC this week. Rena Sofer kills yet another show. That's three in three years, plus a bunch before that. ABC also canceled "8 Simple Rules" which should free up Kaley Cuoco for some TV movies or film roles.

"Charmed" has been renewed for an eighth season despite dismal ratings, which shows how much the WB has to offer next fall. Even the show's fan boards thought it would be canceled. It averaged a 2.5 rating for the season. "Law and Order" reruns on TNT average 2.6.

This aired last night. It had a older lady gets carjacked and tied up at the first 30 min. and a young lady get grabbed from behing in the last 30 min. Two separate stories. It aired at 10:00 pm. I managed to get it on tape. Older lady was bound with hands in front with rope, cloth over the mouth, two patches with "guaze" holding them in place, feet tied w/ rope. She was in a chair, not bound to it, and later on the floor before being killed. Young lady had hands taped in front, legs tapped and sometimes had a blindfold and over the mouth gag. This lady survived.

National Geographic channel aired a show "interpol investigates" where they had bank robbery reenactments. Woods" that had a 19 year old get gagged with duct tape. Short clip about 5 seconds and was poorly lit.

Actresses/celebs who are into bondage?
Does anyone know of any actresses or celebrities who are known or rumored to have a real-life interest in bondage? Here are a few I know of. Unfortunately I can't provide links for most of them for proof, but here they are anyway:

Heather Locklear - Years ago she did some kind of advertisement in which she was wrapped in tinfoil and gagged with an apple or an orange (the picture floats around, I'm sure some of you have seen it). I don't recall exactly what happened, but I think the story goes that the ad was pulled for some reason, and Heather said something to the effect of, "well, at least I can still get tied up in the bedroom."

Eva Longoria - In an interview with Maxim magazine, she mentions that she has been tied up before, and finds it exciting. I actually can post a link for this one.
http://www.maximonline.com/maximlounge/girls_of_maxim/html/girl_1021.html

Tia Carerra - I remember hearing about an interview she did, and the interviewer asked her "what's the sexiest thing in your closet?" She responded with, "a pair of leather cuffs."

Madonna - I'm sure most people have heard of her book, with many pics of her in bondage.

Kylie Bax - In a playboy spread, she was photographed in some bondage gear. From what she said in the interview, I got the impression that she's pretty into it.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Does anybody know of any others?

Fear Factor wont be on fall schedule
I just read the wire story about NBC releasing the new fall schedule. Fear Factor is not on it. They say that Fear factor will be returning "at some point". Yeah right. If NBC wants so badly to get out of the ratings basement they need to keep the best show they have. Fear Factor is just about the ONLY show that I watch on NBC. I also watch the reruns on our local UPN affiliate.

And just when the show had finally started to get interesting with the LA vs. NY jewel last week.

I cant remember where i heard this but didnt cameron diaz say that she had an affinity for bondage. I mean hell if you look at her roles she has played, she has to like it just a small bit from all those scenes.

Actually this rings a bell for me as well, although I can't remember if it was a "fact" or just something someone around here had said in a "wishful thinking" kind of way :)

McBain:

Let's see: Lisa Marie (Tim Burton's ex-girlfriend) said in an interview that she loves it how it feels and loosk to be "wrapped and tied" or words to that effect. she hadn't been into bondage until she was prepping for a role as a Dominatrix, and worked with a real Domme. In the process, she discovered how much she loved being on the receiving end.
I wonder if Laura Linney doesn't have an appetite for it. At a time when her reputation is made, she's started taking on roles with nudity and sexual themes, including nude self-bondage.
There are several others who have explicitly said -- or hinted -- that they're into bondage, but as usual when you TRY to remember them, they disappear. I'll post them as they leap to mind, assuming others don't post them first.

"Joan of Arcadia" is headed for the afterlife unless some other network bails it out. Jennifer Love Hewitt has a show on CBS (the name and details escape me).

If this works out, maybe Hewitt and Amber Tamblyn can see some action during the next TV season. I don't think "Joan" would have given us much.

I've been told that this telenovela had a straitjacket

Re: Actresses/celebs who are into bondage?
Back in the late 70s there was a very brief entry in the clebrity tidbits section of one of the "Men's" [think cheap imitation of Playboy, Penthouse, Oui. etc] magazine that went something like

'what brunette beauty who plays the open minded daughter of a very outspoken liberal woman on a popular and controversial hit TV show usually shows up for shooting with prominent rope marks that cause the wardrobe and makeup people no ends of trouble.....'

The implication was that Adrienne Barbeau usually wore long sleeved sweaters/shirts/dresses and slacks/long skirts&boots on 'Maude' to cover up the almost permanent rope marks that couldn't be covered by makeup.

We really didn't watch 'Maude' that often when it was first run, or in reruns, so I really can't say if there is any truth to the wardrobe observation.

Sadly I also didn't hear about Bea Arthur's hogtie scene until 'Maude' was out of the rerun schedule :-(

Before all you young whippersnappers all say yuck, how many major broadway stars were ever hogtied on their own groundbreaking TV shows :-)

Not only that, another show, I think it was TOP COPS, also did a re-creation of the whole Christopher Wilder case, and the actress portraying Tina was none other than one of my favorite blondes, Renee O'Connor, also famous for a few scenes in XENA: Warrior Princess.

Christopher Wilder
Okay, I had the name of the program wrong. It's listed in the database:

Title: F.B.I.: The Untold Stories (1991)
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Renee O'Connor, Melissa Young, Unknown

Description: Episode: "Millionaire Murderer"

The subject of this program's the same as the "Model Killer" ep of THE FBI FILES -- serial killer Christopher Wilder.

Renee O'Connor plays the woman whom Wilder forced into helping him. Around the 15' mark there's a scene with a young woman blindfolded and bound (wrists in front with plastic ties) in the back seat of the killer's car, and Ms. O'Connor bound similarly to the steering wheel. The other woman is raped and stabbed offscreen, but survives.

A few minutes later, a woman is carjacked by Wilder, and we see her pushed out of the car in a secluded area with her hands behind her, apparently bound. This scene is very brief. Just after, we hear a gunshot.

I remeber a few years back, reading in the NATIONAL INQUIRER about the star of the television show "BLOSSOM" being spotted in a Hollywood adult shop trying on and modeling Handcuffs with her boyfriend. too bad they didn't include a picture!

I remeber seeing a video of the lead singer of the GO-GO's while drunk at a party, and she said something like "My Boyfriends ties me up all the time", but seeing how she was drunk at the time, can we really take that seriously?

Of course we can. I think they also had a song about it. Then there was the time Angie Everhart on Howard Stern said that one thing she didn't like about going out with him was the time he tied her up and left for a few hours.

On the last version of the show The Surreal Life, Go-Gos guitarist Jane Weidlen (sp?) 'came out' as an active member of the fetish community. I kept hoping for a scene in which she would demonstrate -- she was quite proud of her lifestyle -- but alas, she only wore the clothing in one of the final episodes, and I think brandished a riding crop, but never got the treatment.
