Pretty disappointing trailer. Was hoping for at least one shot in the trailer of Alba tape-gagged.

New Skelton Key trailer
Need some help here. Even after watching the international trailer for "The Skelton Key" I can't tell for sure, but it looks like Kate Hudson's B&G scene could be lips sewn shut. Late in the trailer, it looks like she angles to the screen with lips together and maybe some blood. There's a graphic seconds before showing what looks like lips being sewn.

There's also some behind the scene footage at the link, but I couldn't get the AOL clips to play.

Ignore it? Yeah easier said than done. On the VCR Alert page, I read about scenes coming up from Walker, Texas Ranger & other shows, but no pictures. Then there are like 20 alerts for cartoons with BIG pictures of lame ass bondage that are impossible to ignore. Where are the pictures from Walker?

You blew off my question on why people are so interested in cartoon bondage. Why is that? Maybe because you are in the minority of people that enjoy it.
If you're so in to cartoon bondage, why not start another web page just for cartoon bondage? Call it Brian's Cartoon Page or something……

Just do it. Seriously. You can try to debate stuff here, but don't waste the energy because nothing will change.

I don't give a shit about the cartoon stuff either, but the only reason the pics are there is because the alert poster threw in a <img src=. Feel free to add your own images if you like.

I honestly can't understand for the life of me why this is such a big deal. Bondage can occur in any type of media - books, theatre, television, even video games. If they had a cartoon featuring Ashley Renee tied up, it'd be bondage (though of COURSE, that's never happening). D'uhhhh. I see your point about it being difficult to ignore, but I mean, on a page so varied and diverse as this, you're gonna get some excess baggage. I, for instance, get zero thrills out of mechanical gags or binds. But I don't complain, because I realize there's a handful of valuable contributors on the page that do enjoy it. C'est la vie.

And just to tie it all in .. The Skeleton Key stuff? Big thanks for doing the research and posting the pics, but I think that "sewn" gags or that crap-arsed "glue" gag in House of Wax just suck. Ever seen Strangeland? The girl that played Thelma in Scooby Doo (Linda Cardenelli) had a sew gag. LAAAAAME.

After examing the photo in question, and the others, I don't think it's a sewn gag. I think what appears to be the thread is merely dried blood or something. Judging from the location of the picture and the other caps on the page, I think it is pretty obvious it's not a sewn gag. In the other pictres her lips look perectly normal, no scars or swelling that would occur after that kind of trauma to the lips. Just wishful thinking on our parts here. It is also interesting to note that this page is having an effect on the link, as that photo tallies a lot more hits than any of the others on the page. I wonder what that webmaster must think when he sees that!

I saw this trailer last weekend. It seems that she conjures up some bad mojo, evil spirits, ect. This pic to me looks like her as a 19th century corpse (they sewed the eyes and mouth shut then as a common burial practice. Please don't ask me why or, God forbid, start a site about it).
I think it's part a vision she gets, but her character will be bound and gagged by some real bayou baddies. I'm thinking it'll be like that old "Daniel Boone'' episode where his wife inherits a similar house, only to find that smugglers have rigged it to look haunted.
More "proof''-- bound and gagged has specific meaning, even to unbearably cute actresses. "Lips sewn shut'' is something else all together and they know that. Look at how Elisha Cuthbert described her "House of Wax'' lips glued scene, or how Linda Cardellini described her scene in that pre-Scooby movie.

I agree 100 percent. I have no interest in renting or buying "House of Wax." Hopefully, the Hudson scene, if there is one, will be a regular typical B&G scene.

Agreed the lips eyes thing is probably a nightmare but your quote sounds like a confirmation; did you see a definite scene in the trailer? I wouldn't get my hopes up just because she said "bound and gagged"; it wouldn't be the first time someone said that and then there was no gag.

The only 'confirmation' is an interview she did with Newsweek last year:

You're filming a thriller for a change—how's that going?

Oh, it's so much fun. It's really great. I've been doing a lot of, you know, being dragged around, tied and gagged —it's excellent.

Bondage on female animated characters is equally as valid and titillating as bondage on live actresses. It deserves special honor from us, if anything. Many of us received our epiphanies from watching female animated characters bound and gagged.
Mine was Daphne Blake in that infamous episode of "Scooby Doo" in which she's bound and gagged on an abandoned riverboat. From what I've read, this scene was an epiphany for countless others. Such scenes caused us to discover our predilections and learn about ourselves.

This is what tv.yahoo.com says will happen Friday "John and Bo find another clue left by the killer in the basement where Natalie and Evangeline had been held" and at sometime this week "Natalie is hurt as she and Evangeline try to escape.
And soapcentral.com says next week "John has to choose between Natalie and Evangeline, and it's a matter of life or death"

Soapnet says that Hatalie is hurt today, so they at sometime tommorrow will be taking from the basement. So if John and Bo find evidence in the basement, then we should at least see the start of either them wearing the outfits or even more previews of next week's episodes. I say things will get interesting tomorrow as a clifhanger.

Next week spoiler john will save natalie first---then evangeline ---envy will go to the hospital with minor injuries---evangeline tells her mother in the hospital---john saved natalie first----when john goes back to get natalie she is gone--killing club murderer takes her---john also says he had to save natalie first because natalie passed out--he had no choice

Natalie may get into more trouble after they get rescued next week.

Murphy's Law
Some of you may be aware of this British cop show from earlier series which have produced a couple of good scenes.
This current series has been in a serial format, 6x1 hr episdoes and in the concluding episode of the series earlier tonight on BBC1, Murphy raced to a hospital after a phone call from a nurse.

He entered his friends hospital room to find the bed gone, and moments later got a phone call telling him to come to an unused part of the hospital
Just then a cupboard in the corner started to rattle and groans were heard from within.

Inside was a 20-something Asian nurse (presumably the one who made the phone call) mouth taped and hands tied behind her back. Not a long scene but a nice surprise.

Fraid I didn't realise what was happening in time to record it but if no-one else managed to catch it I shall do my best to compose a data base entry.

However if there is antone out there who did think to tape it....feel free to take over.

My favorite pole scene is from THE FALL GUY with HEATHER THOMAS bound to a bed pole. SHe uses her legs to reach for something to cute the ropes with! There is a very annoying putz (and if the title PUTZ fit, it's this guy!) tied to
the other pole, the only downside of the scene.

Before it's banned all together as a topic of conversation, I personally don't get a kick out of cartoon scenes, so I take the Moderator's advice and ignore them. I have never found animation anything but funny, and that always overides any sex appeal a cartoon scene has. I am not too particularly fond of any of the Gilliagan's Island scenes either, for that matter.

The Cartoon War
It's a slow evening, so I thought I'd get all pedantic & bore the hell out of everybody. Pitching a Big Tent, the focus of our "hobby" is the DAMSEL-IN-DISTRESS. Obviously, she comes in two parts (even *before* visiting the old sawmill):

DAMSEL---Female (as opposed to the dreaded Putz), but female what?
There's a continuum: motion picture/video image, photographic image, other realistic depictions (oils, sculpture, collage of gummibears), less realistic depictions (cartoons, comics, Brittany Spears), cave drawings, etc. ...& just to complicate things further, there's a *style* dimension as well, in which the acting is dramatically realistic, stylizied in accordance with the rules of some genre (Romance, Horror, Action/Adventure, Comedy), or just plain stupid (made-for-SciFi-channel-"movie").

DISTRESS---This is even more complicated.
The distress can be emotional (peril remote), or physical (peril immediate).
Helplessness is involved, either in the form of bondage, geographic isolation, or both.
The variations are... infinite.

So, you pays yer money & makes yer choice. Personally, I like redheads (No, *really*??) & I like my DiD-scenes photorealistic & a little stylized. If Raelee Hill starred in "Indiana Jones-IV" as Indy's grad student cousin "Zenobia Jones" & found herself B&G in an elaborate death trap situation with gloating villians & Indy-to-the-rescue... I'd be happy (in the sense that the Pacific is damp). ...but if I limited myself to movies... no Kim Possible!! ...& that would be just... *wrong*!!

Re: Cartoon bondage
I just want to weigh in because I got something that hasn't been said before ...

The Japanese have a little art form called hentai -- adult anime. It's popular with most adult males in Japan. Sexual bondage is a MAINSTAY of a lot of these films. And they're not pure porn (well, not all of them). Most of the adult male pop of Japan would stare at you in disbelief if you told them cartoon bondage was not bondage. The market there is HUGE, and bondage is routinely included in almost every adult anime. That includes "mainstream" titles like "Perfect Blue" and "Kite."

Of course, the imagery in adult anime is a lot more intense than we find in American toons. Think of the scenes in
"Black Mask" with naked actresses who have sex while bound. Might account for the difference.
