OK, nice work, Van. Like I said, "I hope I'm wrong" and looks like I was. I didn't think any major U.S. films were released in other countries before the U.S. release date. There was already a hoax on this page two months ago about this scene, so I figured they could have moved over to Rob's page. I'd still like to know how all those UK movie fans get to see the film before even its UK release date. |

The whole movie release thing is now fluid with many more changes coming soon. War of the Worlds opened in Japan first (financer power) and Steven Soderberg's new film will be simultaniously released in theaters, on DVD and cable TV; the DVD/Theater combo release will become common according to some movie insiders. About Skeleton Key, this is the most sensible and trustworthy board about the subject, so everyone will know soon enough (and with greater detail). |

Maybe I'm just helping set us up for dissapointment, but I do seem to recall reading in an interview that Kate was gagged. But please, no villagers with pitchforks and torches if I'm wrong. |

The new film 'Sky High' looks promising. 'Stealth' also deals with terrorits so perhaps there's a scene for Jessica Biel.

Friday July 29 14:52:15 2005 OLTL update -- partial |
Just before the halfway point, John has nabbed the killer in the warehouse and has him cuffed to a chair during interrogation. He's looking for Natalie and starts to take a crowbar to a crate when it cuts to commercial.
That's all I know at this point, and that's all I'm going to know because the rest I'll have to tape. Figured saving folks 30 minutes of soap opera tripe was better than none. Also, I caught a glance of AMC for just a couple minutes early in the episode. Masked thugs armed with guns were pulling some kind of hold-up and one of them is holding an attractive blonde during the situation. Didn't catch the rest of it, but West Coasters or SoapNet owners might want to look into it in case something panned out. |

Friday July 29 14:56:43 2005 Y&R |
Nikki was shown in the final minutes on Friday as advertised. This was one of the most effective gags I've seen in a long time. Thick white cloth that doesn't even fit all the way into her mouth. Wrapped around her head, but tilted upwards for effect. Well done. |

If not, I feel stupid for not taking the alerts more seriously. Also, guys, what episodes of One Life to Live will I need to record this weekend on Soapnet to catch all of Natalie's scenes? I don't recall too many being talked about. |

I'm sure many of us remember the 80's rock band Rainbow and their video for "Street of Dreams," which is of course of interest to us (see #445 in the database). In the past month, I've emailed a couple of requests to get this played on the VH1 Classic All Request Hour, but to no avail. Perhaps a little help on this. |

Not to stir the fire, but I think I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with that assessment. The thing looks like it's barely between her lips and doesn't look all that tight either. Just my opinion of course. I have wanted to see Melody get the full treatment since my teens. She came close a few times, but it never materialized. Although this is not quite what I had hoped for, at least she finally got there. I did want to ask a question about the scene though. Does anybody know how she got into that situation? Was there a grab scene of any kind, or did she just end up there without any previous on-screen setup? I don't want to discard my original file yet, until I know whether there is something of worth, but I hate scanning this stuff so much I figured I would just ask. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

Friday July 29 17:29:49 2005 Larisa Oleynik escaping bondage |
Anyone here remember that episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun with Kathy Bates doing her Misery thing and holding the whole family hostage? I noticed that when everyone was tied up in the basement, Tommy ex-girlfriend August was seen briefly tied to a chair. How the hell did August get there in the first place? What the hell was she doing in the episode? Larisa Oleynik (who played Alex Mack) was supposed to be Tommy's girlfriend at the time? Why wasn't she tied to the chair? It may not have been a great scene, but dammit, it's LARISA!!! Does anyone know why she wasn't in this episode? |

In case people haven't checked the alerts page today--Asses to Ashes, with Jamie Lunier bound and gagged in her underwear, is on Soapnet tonight at 6pm EST. This doesn't get shown often, since there are a lot of episodes of Melrose Place and it is rerun all that much. |

In the last 15 minutes or so, a very long shot of Rosalind Russell is seen bound and gagged in a chair. You would be hard pressed to say for certain it was in fact Rosalind, it could have been her stand in. although when she is released and talking to William Powell she complains that he had her man handled and gagged. Not much of a scene and not a keeper |

Earlier in the week, Nikki had been snooping around some mob types and tried to sneak out, but evidently, somebody caught her and took her hostage, and we didn't see her again until the end of today's (Friday's) episode when her kidnapper was tying her up. Friday July 29 18:33:42 2005 90210 & OLTL |
Hey guys,
just a heads up...this coming Monday, Aug. 1, the episode of Beverly Hills 90210 where Tori Spelling ends up bound & OTM gagged will air at 5:00pm EST (4:00 Central)on SoapNet. I posted an alert on the Alerts page but wanted to mention it here also, since this episode doesn't show up very frequently. also, (unsigned poster) wrote: "Does the Young and the Restless repeat on Soapnet? If not, I feel stupid for not taking the alerts more seriously." I wouldn't sweat it...she was seen only in the final 20 seconds or so before the final fadeout, so it's a pretty good bet that they just may repeat the scene in the opening minutes of this Monday's episode. I have to agree with the one poster on Nikki's gag...normally the cleave gag with the high-on-the-back-of-the-head tilt (a la Lucille Ball on "I Love Lucy" and Stefanie Powers on "Hart to Hart") ranks up there on my least favorite gags on the visual appeal mater, but Nikki's did seem to be rather well in her mouth & did look, to me, to be pretty tight. Maybe she will get ungagged & re-gagged at some point, & the bad guys will tie it right the next time! :-) |

Friday July 29 18:58:21 2005 Criminal Minds |
I just got my new "Entertainment Weekly", #832 with Bill Murray on the cover. On Page 9, at least in my edition, is a 2" x 2 1/2 inch color photo, pretty much a head shot, from the new fall series "Criminal Minds". Its on CBS, and the previews I have seen so far have shown flashes of this scene. A blonde gal, I'm guessing maybe early 20's, is in a cage, blindfolded with what looks to me to be duct tape and sporting a fairly tight darkish cleave gag. Trust me, this is not a glamour shot- I don't think in the context of the story this gal has been having a very good day.
I haven't read the accompanying story yet, but what enrages the mob may be good signs for us. I am firmly in the camp that doesn't much like seeing blood or battery on his bound damsels, but still, a headline like the one on this article "Graphic violence against women is fall TV's most disturbing trend" might mean some good damsel scenes coming up for us. I think most of us know that when the press gets its knickers in a bunch with that kind of viewpoint, that the scene of Nikki tied to the chair today on Y&R would, by them, be considered violence against women. The downside of this is get ready for the backlash. |

Thanks JP for the alerts on today's Melrose & Monday's Beverly Hills 90210. I've been wanting to see both of these scenes forever, and I can't believe both are popping up 3 days from each other! Actually, here's another possible upcoming scene: I saw a preview for this show on SoapNet called "I Wanna be a Soap Star" today. I guess some folks compete in some way for a spot on one of the ABC soaps. Anyway, in the preview I saw, there were several quick shots of the contestants, and there were a couple shots of each one of them tied to a chair (separately) and in each case the person who tied them was shown holding a length of white cloth, possibly with the intent to blindfold or (hopefully) gag. 2 of the contestants were guys but the other was a hot looking blonde. Each scene showed the contestant alone with his/her captor, so even if the guys end up gagged, it wouldn't interfere with the girl's scene. Of course all this may pan out to nothing, but at least for the non-gag snobs out there the hot blonde is definitely tied to the chair. It airs this coming Thursday at 11pm Eastern on SoapNet. I'll post an alert for it also. |

It was really nice setting the VCR for a show that I KNEW would have a scene. (As opposed to this OLTL debacle. I've now taped 20 days worth of this worthless soap, and only four or five have had anything of interest.) Hopefully the folks behind Y&R will actually keep their damsel in front of the camera every day! (And for several days, he greedily requests.) So, thanks again for the alert, Steed! Nikki will be ungagged early on. She'll complain about the ropes hurting her wrists so the goon unties her wrists. When he's off getting her a drink, Nikki unties her own ankles. She tries to escape but the lead mobster stops her. They tie her up in the chair again but do not put the gag back in her mouth where it belongs. |
