Sunday August 28 01:14:20 2005 Home and Away |
I believe that there was a scene on Home and Away here in Australia about a week ago where Holly Brisley's character Amanda was "attacked" (however it turns out it was self inflicted). She plastic strapcuffs herself during her fake attack. I think I've worked out it was in episode 4026 which aired on 15/08 here in Australia. So if thats any help for you lot over in the UK there it is! |

Thanks, that does sound interesting. Sounds like another one of those prop department specials that were mentioned earlier. |

Sunday August 28 08:17:02 2005 Re: suprise scenes |
Juli Donald's scene in the underrated "The Law and Harry McGraw"(Murder By A Landslide).Brief but spectacular. An absolute classic. It came out of absolutely nowhere. As I recall, Harry enters his darkened office or apartment and BANG!! And the strange thing is that despite there being no apparent warning I hit the record button about ten seconds in advance and got it all. Hunter's instinct.....?
The same thing happened to me with the "Murder Channel" ep of "Murder She Wrote". I had just come in from a run one mid morning.I walked into the living room for some reason before taking a shower. The TV was on mute and I caught a brief glimpse of an interestingly beautiful young woman opening the door of her apartment and, without a clue about the plot and just out of interest in her, hit the record buttton on the remote before heading upstairs.By the time I came back the program was finished.I rewound the tape and there was Perrey Reeves in all her glory. Now how long did that bloody series run for without producing anything of note and then the one time that I tape a bit of it BANG!? |

Sunday August 28 09:32:57 2005 The Great Raid |
The movie The Great Raid has a slight scene in which Connie Nielsen is suspended a short distance over the floor. Her arms are tied in back around a wood pole with little rope work. it is seen in a side view and is a short scene. She is wearing a dress. |

It looks fairly promising and I am sure this will turn up in Oz fairly soon. Keep an eye on Rob's discussion page too, as it has already been discussed there with more chat to come I expect (there is also an interesting-looking drama apparently coming soon on ITV here called "Marian Again" or "Marion Again", which looks to have probable scenes too. See link. This is already being discussed on Rob's, under topics "Kelly Harrison" and "Marian Again". This may also be a likely contender for showing over in yours) |

Sunday August 28 12:01:03 2005 Smallville - early spoilers |
I know it's a bit early, but spoilers are starting to roll out and there's one definite Lana scene so far.
Episode #5-2: "Mortal" Air Date: October 6, 2005 Jonathan, Martha, and Lana are tied up by the baddies, who are "waiting for that Kent kid to come back." Episode #5-3 - says that Chloe will be taken away by the bad guy, but no mention of getting bound or how she gets away Episode #5-6 - Lois goes undercover as a stripper. She gets taken away by the shady club owner when the cops raid the club. Again, no details on her fate after she disappears. |

Sunday August 28 17:20:55 2005 Wanted alert |
Female shown getting chlorformed in preview for tonight's episode (10 p.m., TNT). Couldn't tell if she's worth a scene, but it did not appear to be the female hottie in the cast. |
Sunday August 28 17:55:35 2005 Re: Holly Willoughby |
Just tried to post to Rob's Forum, but it had gone down as it sometimes does for a while. Weight of traffic, perhaps. :-)
Anyhoo, I've managed to deputz and deinterlace the image of Holly in her nice snug white tapegag, and attempted to smooth out the humongous jpg patchwork. Far from perfect, but at least you can now see her face properly. I posted her in the old, defunct Yahoo group Fitbints, at the end of my Photo album. Rediscovered the site a few days ago, and found fakes I thought I'd lost. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fitbints Smartgroup wasn't a success, owing to a cumbersome invitation policy imposed after a couple of days, but my new site at Whitelord should launch some time this week. I'll let y'all know when it's up. |

So if thats any help for you lot over in the UK there it is! Cheers for that mate. You've actually jogged my memory re another H&A scene. Was it you posted here a few months ago about Sally (Kate Ritchie?) being kidnapped by a stalker? The reason I ask is a storyline is currently being run featuring someone called 'the summer bay stalker' and I wondered how close we might be to that scene. I've seen nothing in the listing magazines about Sally but I do understand that in the next 5 days Marc will be arrested and accused of being the stalker? |

Sunday August 28 20:03:22 2005 A DiD Museum |
> Although someday it certainly would be neat to have a "DiD museum," wouldn't it?
---- I'm guessing the centerpiece would be Wonder Woman's magic lasso (which was used to bind her in "Fausta, the Nazi Wonder Woman"), or Fay Wray's bindings in the original "King Kong". But not as expensive as the Smithsonian Museum's Hope diamond or the Honus Wagner baseball card at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. |

The Sydney Penny kidnapping storyline is set for this week. In the final scene on Friday, an explosion ripped through the wall where she was being protected. Nothing shown in the Monday preview but the recording should start then. Her look is different than in "Largo Winch," jet black hair again, just like her earlier soap roles. Looking very nice indeed in a black dress on Friday. |
Sunday August 28 21:23:38 2005 Best New Orleans French Quarter scenes |
Having enjoyed my stay several years ago in the New Orleans French Quarter, I certainly understand the predicament the geography of the city faces vs. Hurricane Katrina.
While hoping for the best for the residents' lives and property, I was reminded of how frequently Hollywood has used the scenic French Quarter in its movies (and at least one TV series -- "Big Easy"). What are some that stick out in Brian's Pagers memories? There's the Leslie Bibb b&g scene in "Big Easy", and Veronica Lake in "This Gun for Hire". Clint Eastwood's "Tightrope" also took place in the French Quarter, while "Obsession" took place in the countryside. "Live and Let Die" did have a couple French Quarter scenes, as did "Exit to Eden", but both had their DiD scenes take place elsewhere. |

Later, disguised by the bad guy with an orange wig, she's seen tape-gagged briefly in the back of a van. She's released soon thereafter from what I could tell fast-forwarding. |
Sunday August 28 23:28:28 2005 Discovery channel scene |
There was also a weak scene on the Discovery Channel's show "Critical Hour" tonight which re-enacts some real life events leading into the hospital trauma center. In one case, blonde female was shown with hands tape-tied in front and feet taped, but not gagged, as she was held hostage by an ex-boyfriend. No real good shots of the actress playing the part, she had her head down and the flashbacks had the funky camerawork.
The way the story was told, the woman managed to get help by kicking over a phone in the basement despite her head being tape-tied to a pole. She had her hands tied in front, so she could dial 911 and get her location traced after she tossed the phone under a table so the guy couldn't see it. If that scene were in a TV show, we would have said "dumbest captor of all time." He leaves a phone next to the woman, doesn't gag her, and tapes her hands in front so she can dial. |

Sunday August 28 23:54:45 2005 Soap Operas |
Are these the most aggravating shows on TV right now? Are they the most aggravating of all time?
You tape hour after hour of these annoying shows & for what? To get MAYBE 20 minutes worth of scene, if that. Example: One Live To Live. Natalie was kidnapped how long? Wasn't it like a month? How much actual footage did they show? Not much for my taste. What I hate even more are these shows that dangle the possibility in front of you, then don't deliver. Example: General Hospital. Kelly Monaco had several possibilities to be bound and gagged, but only gave us a half-ass hand cuff scene that lasted 3 seconds & an even lamer hand gag. While I'm on the subject of General Hospital, how friggen long is this stalking storyline going to stay on the back burner? Both major characters involved (Maxie & Brooke) in this storyline are over 18. Bring this to the front burner & put the whole baby storyline on hold. (Yes, this is the soap I watch) |
