Someone was asking about shots of DiDs being gagged behind the scenes or something like that. Well, here's a new one! I have a feeling this could become a personal fave. Director from Monty Python. My handle (Luigi Vercotti) from Monty Python. A stunning DiD being very expressional helps too. And I think she has green eyes, too. |

Friday August 26 01:03:51 2005 GENERAL HOSPITAL |
On Thursdays episode of General Hospital, Near the end, Sam was handgagged and taken away to play the bad woman's daughter again. Pretty long scene. Will play again friday morning and on the weekend on Soap Net. May be more to come, but I don't have high hopes. |

Not sure if this was ever brought up before (most likely this has been) but what actress would you have loved to seen bound & gagged that never was?
I mention this because the other day I was watching Top Hat w/ Fred & Ginger and was totally absorbed in Ginger Rogers beauty & charisma. How awesome it would've been to see her get the treatment but somehow it just wasn't in the cards. |

(The subject has made the rounds before, but not in many years, so…) Two words: Phoebe Cates! But for actresses circa Ginger Rodgers time, I'd probably go with a young Ava Gardner or Grace Kelly. (Although I'd almost say Rosemary Lane, simply because of the sadistic tease in The Saboteur, where the bad guys refer to her as being bound and gagged in "the other room", BUT WE NEVER SEE HER!Aaarggh!) And of the new crop, I'll say either Grace Park of Battlestar Galactica, or Arielle Kebbel of Entourage. But there's still plenty of time for both… Incidentally, I wonder if anyone knows of any scenes for Italian show girls? I'm thinking in particular of Giorgia Palmas. It always seemed highly unlikely that any of them would get b&g'd, but after discovering the scenes from "La Methode Cauet" on this very page, it occurs to me that anything is possible. And lord knows, if Giorgia Palmas ever got the treatment, I'd like to know. |

Check out the database for a show called "Julie." The actress is listed as unknown, but I just submitted an amendment because the damsel is none other than Julie Andrews. Liam, Thanks for the heads up! When I read this, a distant bell did ring somewhere off in the distance… which was immediately followed by the sound of something nearer, something more recent, something I knew but I hadn't heard, somehow, at the time… It was a familiar voice, and under its breath, I could hear it whisper to me: "Check the database!" Anyway, it appears that Bhowani Junction is available on VHS, but no DVD as of yet. If I can track it down, you can bet I'll rent it. |

I'm sorry to disappoint, but I saw the show in its original airing, and the actress is not Julie Andrews. It's the house maid, I believe. I didn't tape the scene (darn it), but I recall Julie and the other family members opening a door to find the actress b&g in the restroom. Short scene. Julie is certainly on my "if only" list as well. :) She's still with us, of course, so I'm not going to say "no way" yet. |

Friday August 26 13:32:17 2005 Capote |
Hey all,
Wanted to give a heads-up on September 30th. I know everyone will be out to see "Into the Blue" but also opening that day is "Capote" about the life of Truman Capote. The encouraging part is the film centers around his writing of "In Cold Blood" so may be something there. |

I was wandering in a mall and I came upon an Aldo shoe store. It had large blown up posters of that AIDS campaign on the walls. What a sight to see Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd with the tape over their mouths. It's well worth finding an Aldo store to check this out. It's possibly a once in a lifetime kind of thing. |

I feel the film was cut down for a PG-13. That scene did not appear in the feature.
On the plus side, Gilliam always has extensive behind the scenes footage on his DVD's. Hopefully there will be a pay off there. |

I read the book "In Cold Blood", and I think I should warn the readers of this message board that it is a major putz-fest. The book is a true-crime story, about the murder of a Kansas farm family during the 1950s. The family is the typical nuclear family, comprised of a father, mother, son, and daughter. The daughter, the only good-looking member of the family, is inexplicably not bound and gagged, as are all her family members. |

I am probably missing something really obvious here but how come the official site does not give direct access to all of the pictures such as the one below or the absolute cracker that Van linked to above????? Anyways, and more importantly, the twins are Petra and Dana Dohnalova. That must have been a really, REALLY bowdlerized version of the "Tales" that my mum read to me when I was a wean!! |

Friday August 26 16:43:24 2005 single season record holder? |
Just a question: With all the dvds of tv shows being released now, does anyone have any guesses to which mainstream show featured the highest number of episodes with full treatment scenes within a single season? I guess a question of quality and taste would be of a second issue, but - as I'm considering it - still predicated on the first. And to clarify: I say "highest number of episodes" to make it explicit that, for instance, Elisha Cuthbert's scenes in 24 would be counted per episode. So the fact that a single "scene" stretched over multiple episodes would not lessen the total count, and neither does the duration or number of scenes within an episode count - at least not in terms of this specific question. Also, I'm not really thinking of shows like Justine, which are definitely fetish oriented. I mean more along the lines of what you would get on network tv (although people are free to expand or contract the topic as they like). And soaps, clearly, are not included.
Disclaimer: I haven't combed through the database at all on this topic. I'm just throwing the question out there and people are free to respond or ignore as they see fit. Off the top of my head, though, that first season of 24 would definitely be a contender. I mean, were there any seasons of Lois and Clark, Walker, Wonder Woman, or Knight Rider that compared? Simon and Simon? Hmm, maybe I will check the database (although it will have to be later… after work). |

I just got back from the movie & the torture chamber scene was there; Angelika manacled to the chair was there; & Angelika cleave-gagged, in rigid-cuffs, & with her arms roped to her sides was there. The only thing *not* there was the blonde twins tied to the bed, but I can tell exactly *where* in the plot it would have gone. So... what "that scene"?? |

Simon and Simon? Hmm, maybe I will check the database ---- If you check the database, other likely candidates might be "Girl from UNCLE" (which lasted only one season); the short-lived "Two"; "Man from UNCLE"; "The Avengers"; or "Superman". |

Smallville season 4 had a lot going for it this year and went by unnoticed by any of the collectors. Episodes 2,3,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,15,17,19 all had a scene in them. That could possibly set a record for a streak for a non-soap, but the previous 3 seasons were mediocre for scenes. As for a show that consistently has a good scene/episode ratio across seasons - I would say Alias I posted a breakdown a while ago, but someone challenged me with soaps having more scenes per season. I do know that I personally have 10,9,8,10 caps from seasons 1-4 - and I didn't finish watching season 4. Not a bad ratio for a show with 22 episodes a season. A Law and Order might qualify if you count minor handcuff scenes. Hopefully Stargate will have something, now that they have all the people from Farscape on it ;) |

I don't recall the hotel staff scene listed in the DB, but in addition to the five there, there was a blinkish scene with a woman bound and cleavegagged in the dark background in another scene. IIRC, Allison Hossack's character is ushered into an agency meeting, only to find all there bound and gagged in the darkened room. Anyone else remember this? |

Friday August 26 21:32:36 2005 Re: Somehow avoided the ropes & gags... |
Farrah Fawcett...Man I'd have loved to see her bound & gagged during her heyday (or even AFTER her heyday!!).
Unless she was gagged during her short-lived sitcome "Good Sports" that starred her & then significant other Ryan O'Neal. I distinctly remember an episode that the TV guide mentioned had a robbery & hostages involved in it. When I turned on the TV, there were (I think) 2 men seen tied up with scarf gags on. Then there was a shot of Farrah & I believe Ryan talking to police, and both had what looked to be scarves around their necks. I firmly believe that they had been gagged also, and ungagged & untied themselves (or were rescued) shortly before I turned on the TV. That show has never repeated to my knowledge, and that would be what I would call a "Holy Grail" (to tie in with the "Holy Grail" thread from a few days back), a scene that may exist, & probably does, but next to no chance of ever seeing it again. |
