Wednesday August 31 01:19:05 2005 Aldo sightings on Telenovelas |
Just spotted 2 Aldo sightings on some telenovelas. On Monday's "Rebelde" on Univision, Aldo poster of Salma Hayek duct tape gagged is shown for 5 minutes hanging outside a jail cell in the background while 2 girls talk with the guards. On Tuesday's "Mission:SOS..." on Telefutura, some guys were having some sort of meeting. Behind the guy speaking from the podium was a big Aldo poster of Ashley Judd gagged with duct tape. In both cases, they zoomed in close enough that the poster was prominently shown. |

Wednesday August 31 04:47:09 2005 Re: La Madastra scene starting? |
Final episode is tuesday.
According to mexican summaries, the scene with Ana Layevska ends in chapter 119, while in chapter 122 will begin a scene with Sabine Moussier (Fabiola) tied bak to back with a putz and with "la boca tapada" (in chapter 123) |

Next time I'm in Toronto I'll have to take you to a Blue Jays game. That dragnet scene, curiously enough, while not exactly a Holy Grail for me, is a scene I remember from when I was four years old, and was how I learned the word "gag", and has been lodged in my brain ever since. |

Or maybe you can get them tickets to "The Notorious Bettie Page," which is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in a couple of weeks. Just for anyone travelling to Toronto, there are usually second showings of films the afternoon following the premiere, and they're generally not sold out. I think we're all looking forward to this one. |

Rogers usually airs press conferences for various movies in the festival, and they often include a brief scene from the film, or a trailer. The movie premieres on Sept. 14 and I'd love to be there for the Q & A with the director and actors. The second showing is on Sept. 16, near the end of the festival, and it may be easier to get tickets for that one. Wednesday August 31 14:07:07 2005 AMC |
As usual, the kidnapping storyline is taking forever to play out. Sydney Penny was hiding in a room for the first 30 minutes on Wednesday until ABC News cut the final 30 minutes for hurricane coverage. No idea where this is headed since I just fast-forwarded. |

Know how they phone and tell you about getting movies off the Rogers box, even though you can walk down the street and rent it at their store? Ad appears same. So if can, I'll try and grab it that way for the fellas interested |

Wednesday August 31 16:44:16 2005 Does anybody know the title and the damsel ? |
I have been trying remember the title of a movie from the late 70's maybe early 80's. A gang of criminals escape to Alaska-Yukon area and along the way take a woman hostage. They are being tracked by a local, but the bad guys set up trip wires with grenades. At the end of the movie, the woman is cleave gagged and bound to a tree in freezing weather and the bad guys and the police have a shootout. Does anybody know the title of the movie and who is the damsel ? |

---- And for its September 22nd USA premiere in New York City, Brian's Pagers can refer to my August 25 post in the "Movies/Videos Alerts" forum. |

Marianna Hill (Annie Lansford) http://imdb.com/title/tt0076612 ---- One of the puzzlements to me is why "Relentless" isn't re-run on any of the standard cable channels. It's an above-average TV-movie, starring a top-notch cast of Will Sampson, Monte Markham, Marianna Hill, and John Hillerman as the bad guy. |

In both cases, they zoomed in close enough that the poster was prominently shown. ---- Hmm, in one respect, the fact that the Aldo AIDS campaign signed up A-List celebrities can work against Brian's Pagers. Unfortunately, I don't see a TV-series being able to sign up a Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, Penelope Cruz, Christina Aguilera or a Cindy Crawford to appear in a "stunt-casting" role during the crucial 1st-month of the upcoming new TV season. E.g., a typical "Missing" type of storyline could involve a fan who becomes obsessed with her Aldo poster. The guest star might only be onscreen for about 45 seconds (25 seconds ending with her being chloroformed; 10 seconds where she's shown bound and gagged w/ duct-tape; then 10 seconds when she's rescued), but her name is featured in all of ads for the episode. |

Wednesday August 31 20:53:13 2005 Soap.Net inquiry |
I was watching TV just now, an advertisement for Soap.Net came on, and it looked like they showed a scene from "Days of Our Lives" with two women sitting back-to-back. It's been a while since I've watched DOOL, but I think they were Hope and Billy.
Is this a current scene, or does it come from a while back? |

That one ran several months ago. Never any gags. Lots of shots of them with rope around them but not really much shown of their tied hands. I didn't end up keeping the scenes. |
