Brazilian Yahoo Group
Just found this group, which contains rare pictures from Brazilian movies, theatre plays, soaps and game shows. Fashion models, too.

It's in Portuguese, naturally, but even if you don't understand much of the text, the pictures speak for themselves.

Fascinating are a few images from the Brazilian version of "Big Brother", in which three women wear a leather OTM gag with straps behind the neck and over the back of the head, while a fourth is blindfolded with what look like blanked-off swimming goggles. No shows like that here in the UK! :-)

Been a while (and I never completely finished the game), but there was nothing like that as far as I got into it.

Would you believe...
...that of all the movies from which the American Film Institute compiled its list of the top 100 dialogue quotes-my goodness, WHO comes up with these ideas for top 100 lists?-there were only four-FOUR!-with anything of interest to us?

And to add insult to injury, we were shut out until number 22-"Dr. No" from 1962, which featured Ursula Andress in the first and one of the best of the imperiled-Bond-girl scenes. The quote, of course, was Sean Connery intoning his character's signature introduction for the first time: "Bond. James Bond."

Next after that was 1974's "The Godfather, Part II," at number 58, featuring two unknowns in a couple of rather obscure scenes, and Don Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) remembering his father Vito's sage advice: "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer."

We didn't score again until number 76, "Terminator 2" (1991) with Linda Hamilton handcuffed and psycho-strapped, and the present governor of California's memorable "Hasta la vista, baby!"

Last but not least, the 1933 film that gave America her first and greatest "scream queen," Fay Wray, made number 84 for Robert Armstrong's eulogy for "King Kong:" "Oh no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast."

And just in case you were wondering, and can't be bothered with looking it up yourself, the number one quote on the list-as any of you old enough to belong here have probably guessed-was the last line spoken by a male character in "Gone with the Wind." Come on, I can't do ALL your homework for you...

"Shocking. Simply shocking." (J. Bond; "Dr. No.").

Gagged damsels by definition don't have many memorable quotes, and their cliched line just before receiving an onscreen gag is the lame "You won't get away with this!"

It's their captors that pretty much get all the good lines. While I'd say that TV has provided the best evil captor/gloating lines, what'd be your picks from movies (made-for-TV movies excluded)?

E.g. How about "Lone Star State of Mind" (which went something like "The only better than a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman tied up and gagged."). Or 1984's "Dune": "Such a pity you must remain gagged. We could have such an interesting... conversation."

Uh... were you really expecting "M'mmmmpfh!!" or "Nrrrmf!!" to make the list? :-)

Only putz action today...

At the beginning of today's episode the duo that are supposed to be getting held captive were tying a couple of goons to a post (didn't tape yesterday so have no idea how this situation got going). The dude tied them while the babe was tearing up cloth (bedsheet maybe?). Next scene had one goon already gagged while the duo talked to the other goon. They got tired of his threats so the dude stuffed a big wad of cloth in his mouth and then the babe used another cloth strip to OTM gag him. Then they took off. You got to wonder how these two innocent people in their early 20s knew how to gag someone like that. Let's hope the goons return the favor, at least to the babe. She's one gorgeous little brunette!

Actually, didn't the yahoo who was in the cab of the pickup truck with Jamie King say "The only thing I like better than a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman bound and gagged"?
Jamie King had some memorable lines as well; just before her boyfriend, played by Joshua Jackson, is about to gag her with a strip of duct tape, she admonishes him, "Don't you dare! Don't you dare!". Her admonitions become more desperate until they finally subside to an indignant "Mmmm-mmmm-mmm-mmm"; she has been gagged with a strip of suct tape placed strategically over her mouth.
Since gagged damsels can't have memorable movie quotes, then why don't we recall quotes from damsels just before they're about to be gagged?

My favorite, Faye Dunaway about to be gagged by Robert Redford in "Three Days of the Condor": "This is... unfair!"

The Abyss:

Lt. Coffey: "This is something I've wanted to do since we first met."

Right before he slaps a piece of duct tape over Mary Elizabeth Mastrantono's mouth.

Perry Mason: The Case of the Telltale Talkshow Host

Pimp: "Lesson number one is discipliiiinnne."

Right before he slaps a piece of duct tape over Alex Datcher's mouth.

The Agency 'Our Man in Washington'

Joshua: (After untying and ungagging Paige Turco) "I'm trying to help you."

Agent Lowell: "Well, you could have done that without duct tape and kidnapping."

Twin Peaks "I can't understand a word you're saying, you have a thing in your mouth" was always one of my favorites.

Theres also great dialogue from "Just Shoot Me" where Mia is given a bag of S&M toys as a joke, and looking through it Finch askes "Is this some kind of gag?" and is answered, "Yes its a great prank", and he responds, "No, I meant this leather thing. Is this some kind of gag?"

Ahh,
but if you have an English as second language, OMNI channel translator?
Get interesting lines like a tied up woman yelling
"You can't get away!", to her captor?
More humourous than lame then.

Have to dig up "Cop Shop Babes" for a clip, as that one they buggered up.
