Thursday June 23 01:22:34 2005 The Inside |
Chair tie with handcuffs for Rachel Nicols in tonight's episode of "The Inside", but the cuffs are not visible from the quick view of the tape. She just sits in the chair and appears to be tied.
Rachel and her partner walk into a trap at the 45-minute mark. The guy gets KO'd and Rachel is forced to give up her gun. The bad guy then tosses her handcuffs and says "Hello" as they cut to commercial. Rachel spends the next 10 minutes or so cuffed to the chair in the hideout. A male in the same room is cleave-gagged, but despite constant mouthing off for 10 minutes the bad guy doesn't silence her. |
Thursday June 23 02:08:35 2005 Please? |
Can we please all agree to refrain from detailed discussions of putz/candyass scenes on this page? If a show was a bust, it was a bust - but there's no need to say "but a guy got tied up..." much less go into a disturbingly detailed description. I sure don't think it's necessary - nor on-topic. |

Later in the episode she knocks out Ginger and then ties her up and gags her. She taunts Ginger by describing her plan in explicit detail, and the bound and gagged Ginger says through her gag, "You'll never get away with it." |

"Chandler and Co".
Catherine Russell as Elly Chandler, tightly tied hand and foot with phone cable, gagged with wide, very sticky black vinyl tape, hops to door and mmmphs loudly. Psycho enters and rips gag off, causing Elly to wince in pain. Ps: What is it now? E: Toilet. Ps: You went not long ago. E: Must be all this excitement! |

Thursday June 23 08:23:50 2005 Myth busters again? |
I was watching mythbusters last night and they were testing the myth that driving while talking on a cell phone is as dangerous as driving drunk..in a 1-2 second spot before a commercial, they show Kari being handcuffed by an officer. It's a short scene but you can see the cuffing really well so it;s kinda nice.
If you;re trying to find the episode, it;s the one where they do the test mentioned above and also test the "crash position" that you;re told to assume in a plane wreck. Oh...and just in case you;re wondering....yeah...talking on a cell phone was easily as distracting as driving drunk and that crash postion works pretty darn well. |

You're forgetting the other great line in this scene, spoken by Eva, Ginger's evil twin:Good-bye Eva. Sorry you can't come to the party. I'll explain that you're ALL TIED UP! Does anyone have any favorite lines where the bondage is commented upon by either the damsel, the villain, or the rescuer? One of my favorites is Bonnie Franklin in an episode of ONE DAY AT A TIME. She and the rest of the cast are tied up by burglers. When the scene fades in Bonnie, tied to a chair, says, "Now I know what a Turkey feels like at Thanksgiving!" She also does some hopping around during the very long scene. |

I always like the one from General Hospital a decade or so ago, where Sharon Wyatt was tied to the chair & cleave gagged in silence for awhile, and as soon as she is left alone with the bad guy's henchman, she says thru her gag "Can you undo my gag for a second?". The guy says "What is it now lady?" & she says, still thru her gag "I just want to ask you a question, okay?" |

Thursday June 23 10:36:31 2005 Mysterious Island clarification |
From the Alerts Page:
Day: Thursday June 30 2005 Time: 2:30 AM EDT Channel: TCM (1929) [SNIP] Title: The Mysterious Island (1929) Medium: Movie Actress: Jane Daly Description: According to Brent Smith's tape indexes this film has a scene featuring Ms. Daly. Most of the scenes on these videos are of the 'bound and gagged' variety, but let the renter/taper beware. I have this movie on tape (I love old silent Sci-fi!) and can confirm Ms. Daly is indeeded tied & gagged in the film. Unfortunately I don't have the movie with me at the moment (I'm out on the road) so I can't be sure of the time the scene occurs, except that it's in the middle somewhere, but Jane is seen tied to a chair and bit-gagged with a thick piece of what looks like rubber with a rope or strap going thru it to secure it behind her head. There are several nice close-ups, and even a bit of wet area on the gag from her saliva. IMO, it's a scene you shouldn't miss...you don't often see bit gags period, let alone in a silent movie from 1929! Incidently, the movie is partly in sound but mostly silent. Jane's scene is silent (I doubt it was in real life during filming though!) :-) |

Thursday June 23 12:01:14 2005 SMG in Alice Movie |
I just learned in an E! network news spot that Sarah Michelle Gellar has been cast as the QUEEN OF HEARTS, rather than Alice, as I'd assumed. SMG plays nasty *really* well, so I'm still amped. Let's hope for a tight costume of red leather. :-) |

It should repeat on The Discovery Channel on Sunday, June 26th at 3pm eastern, unless they're mucking with their schedule again. |

Thursday June 23 12:48:56 2005 Kate Bosworth |
Browsing through the IMDB today, found an interesting fact: Kate Bosworth was originally slated to play Gail (Rosario Dawson's character) in Sin City. Would have been nice for Kate to get her first tie-up. Oh well, there's still hope for Superman Returns. |

I saw previews on MTV for the upcoming season of the Real World in Austin, Texas. It looks like one of the girls this season (cute brunette) is arrested and is handcuffed behind her back. |

From what I have read in the game the Queen of Hearts is ALICE. |

I just wanted to post on Discussion first since it airs pretty soon & everyone could know about the scene. But I guess you usually do make the correction & then post the correction on the ALERTS page, so they probably would have gotten the info that way also. Anyway, thanks for making the correction! JP |

Thursday June 23 18:35:43 2005 I must tread carefully here... |
...so as not to stray into off-topic territory, since I can already see The Big Guy Who Wears the Jackboots Around Here warming up for one of his signature bicycle kicks, and it might be a little difficult for everyone to read this from Valhalla. Therefore, we won't discuss where any of the following ideas might have originated, except to say that their presence here isn't the result of any theft of intellectual property (but if any intellectual property is...er, ah, "borrowed" as a result of my suggesting something here, well...those are the breaks). With the understanding, then, that the following scenario is (ahem, ahem) entirely hypothetical, I'd like to pose a questiion.
Let's say I'm a scriptwriter and I come up with the following plot outline: There's a monastery and adjacent convent in some out-of-the-way place that evokes feelings of mystery and suspense-oh, I don't know, let's put them in Eastern Europe somewhere. How about Romania? Okay, now there's this monk who, let's say, is kind of a Svengali-or would Rasputin better describe him?-and he's got this following among some of the nuns. Anyway, there's this one nun who kind of develops some of the same problems that Linda Blair's character had in That First Movie of Hers. Our present-day Rasputin decides that what she needs is a good old-fashioned exorcism of the sort that went out of style with the Latin mass and fish on Fridays, so our afflicted nun ends up bound to a cross with a towel stuffed into her mouth, and left that way...but to go on would be giving away a bit too much for a screenplay that isn't written yet, wouldn't it? Now the question: Who should I cast as the nun? Somehow I keep seeing Charlize Theron or maybe Milla Jovovich. I don't think I'd want anyone much older than that. Natalie Portman might be good, too, or maybe Leelee Sobieski, who along with Jovovich would have the advantage of experience playing a religious character who ended up as a captive-namely Joan of Arc. Care to weigh in with any other candidates, anyone? |

Thursday June 23 18:45:28 2005 And since I started the bondage-scene-quote thread... |
...it's only fair that I contribute a few I've been saving just for such an occasion, such as:
"You look uncomfortable, Claudia." --Van Williams to Diana Hyland, in the "Green Hornet" episode "Give 'Em Enough Rope" (1966) "Your last chance, Mrs. Peel! You've seen what it does to people!" "Well, it's quicker than a peroxide rinse." --Phillip Locke and Diana Rigg, in the "Avengers" episode "From Venus with Love" (1967) "There you go...tied up and gagged. What's next?" --Mariel Hemingway to Joanna Heimbold, in "The Sex Monster" (1999) "If my hands were free, I'd kill you." --Claudette Colbert to Leonard Mudie, in "Cleopatra" (1934) "Sorry, I have to hang up now. They're going to gag me." --Eve Arden to Tom Smothers, in "Pandemonium" (1982) |

Thursday June 23 21:22:05 2005 One Life to Live |
well, the babe and her boyfriend were capture by the goons today. They appear to be tied hands behind in chairs but no bonds are seen and though their legs are positioned in a way that kinda looks like they might be tied to the chair legs, no rope is visible. No gags. They weren't shown in the preview but they weren't shown in the preview for today either. Might as well tape it in case things pick up. |
