The homepage provides the last date/time the VCR Alerts forum was updated -- how "difficult" is it for people to click on their mouse to check it out if it has been updated since they last visited Brian's Page? |

| I just saw a new promo for this made-for-SciFi movie, & it showed HUNTER "BIG LIPS" TYLO strapped to an aluminum frame in a face-down spread-eagle & being slowly lowered into a tank of water. I *think* it's for mating purposes with a shark-man-hybrid. We'll have to watch to find out for sure. It's good to see mad scientists breeding monsters the old-fashioned way for a change, isn't it? :-)

| I have made a clip of the scene(s) from last night's show. If anybody wants to post it, email me and I will send you the clip to put on your server. Please no email requests to have the clip sent to you, unless you are going to post it for everybody.
Also, I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. I got the two bit-gag scenes done. There wasn't anything after that was there? I didn't see anything during scanning, but I didn't have time to watch the whole show either. Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'll wait to delete the master MPEG-2 file, just in case. |

The reason for "very short notice" ones has to do with the fact that it takes time sometimes to read through Discussion. Most people read it first. So by the time they get to one that's on right then, they may miss it. Ones that are for a significant time in the future wouldn't need it. |

Checking out the next two days' alerts should take all of one minute. THEN go to the Discussion page. The Discussion items aren't going to "run away" from you if you don't get to it THAT minute. :-) |

("When the Whistle Blows" was a sitcom, not a drama.) If my memory serves me correctly, the scene began with Barbi, clad (barely) in a dark bikini, climbing out of a hot tub when the madman handgags her and drags her off in the night. The scene resumes in the daylight of the next day, and Barbi is now clothed (in more than a bikini) but also bound and gagged. I seem to recall a scene in which the kidnapper attempts to remove her gag in an effort to get her to eat something. Of course, there could be a great deal of "scene creep" involved here. This show aired in the spring/summer of 1980, so 25 years of Barbi Benton bikini thinkin' could have clouded my memory some. (But sometimes clouds are okay.) |

| For the second time this week, GUIDING LIGHT was bumped for the whole show in favor of a newscast in the Los Angeles area. The big news: there was an earthquake in southern California (as if that never happened before.) It was an average sized quake with nothing unusual to report, yet all of the networks felt compelled to broadcast stuff about it over and over and over. I could have missed Gina Tognini bound and gagged for this! Did anything happen?
In 1997, I didn't get to record the second day of Laura Harring's bound and gagged scene on Sunset Beach because NBC (as well as all the rest) were covering the news of the North Hollywood bank robbery and shootout. All it takes is a few seconds to tell people what they really NEED to know. This is not about helping people in an emergency. This is about the networks trying to establish and maintain a "hard-hitting" news reputation to compete with each other for ratings. It was just an earthquake! |
