| Get your VCR's rolling today on OLTL.
According to my Directv guide, Evangeline gets abducted today. I watched Friday's show and she is at a big party celebrating her award as Woman of the Year. With all of the people around my guess is she has to get a good hand-gag or chloroform to get her out of there without anyone hearing her. Natalie goes missing on Tuesday. It also says they are being held in the basement for several days before the bad guy makes his getaway with the girls. This has the potential to be one of the top soap scenes of all-time. According to Directv listings this storyline is going into at least to the middle of next week. Could be lots of scenes!!!! |

Back on June 1st, I wrote this: "Ron kidnaps Natalie and Evangeline, but ends up getting killed at the end. It appears that "Ron" is a serial killer who's been replicating the murders that take place in a book one of the characters has written. Right. Naturally. But more to the point: The lead detective, John, seems to be torn between two very hot women, Natalie and Evangeline. We've all seen Natalie get the treatment before (if you haven't, there are caps from her brief b&g scene on Biff's site), but Evangeline would really be something. She strikes me almost as a black Phoebe Cates… if that makes any sense, at all. Anyway, this is wishful thinking, but let's hope that both girls end up bound and gagged, with a "John must choose between the two women he loves"-type scenario. Sort of a Batman Forever type scene, but without the Chris O'Donnell putz factor. Like I said, wishful thinking, but I'm going to keep track of this storyline anyway." Talk about "ask and you shall receive". I've been enduring this storyline for almost a month now. But - good lord! - talk about a payoff. (Of course, had I written, "…let's hope both girls end up bound and gagged dressed as cheerleaders," I would have been immediately carted off to the nearest institution for wishful thinkers.) Incidentally, for those who are interested in this sort of thing (and simply to use some of the imbecilic information I've accrued after scanning OLTL almost every day for the last month), as mentioned above, the killer who will be holding the girls hostage is copying murders from a book, The Killing Club. Now this book was written by a character in the soap, but also published in the real world as a tie-in. Anyway, as invested as I was in Nat and Evangeline's potential bondage, I was not driven so far as to actually read the book. However, in light of the caps provided at the link, it's possible that the book pays off with some cheerleader bondage, as well. This would fit in with the storyline, and make sense of why a police secretary and high-powered lawyer would end up dressed as cheerleaders. At least, it seems more likely than the other explanation: that the Killing Club killer has set out to fulfill dg's fantasy… |

Nice to see some of the European scenes doing something different, although I hold out little home for the American stuff in the near future. |

The material covered her face up (or down, being inverted as she was) to or over her nose. The artist's intent may have been to imply that the material itself muffled her, or she may have been gagged with something else underneath. In any event, it was an ep about putting Bats on trial by a number of his nemeses. |

Regardless, awesome caps and with SoapNet, there's no chance of missing this scene. In the same set of photos, Evangeline is wearing a killer black dress at the party. I doubt we'll see any striping scenes. Likely the killer will toss her the cheerleading outfit and say "get into it." Haven't seen Natalie's outfit before the cheerleading switch. Also great to see a beautiful black actress getting a full-treatment scene. Maybe I'm missing one, but when was the last time a black actress did a full-treatment scene in a soap or prime-tim series in the U.S.? |

In terms of daytime soaps, Renee Jones was tied and gagged on Days of Our Lives. A group of thieves posing as caterers tied up the Hart's guest and their red-headed assistant (or something like that). The thieves gag the assistant mid-sentence and she keeps one talking as the gag is secured. Wasn't sure which record in the DB it was. |
