Lauren Graham
Does anyone know anything about a student film that Gilmore Girl hottie Lauren Graham was in called "Death In A Forbidden Zone". There's a scene in it that's listed in the database. I've searched the web but can't find much on the film at all. Anyone possibly have anything on this? Caps perhaps?

Heather's Scene on Today's TJ Hooker
Read here that it was coming up soon on A&E-and it happened tonight. Heather became handcuffed and tapegagged to bed at around 47 and 1/2 minutes in. A few close-ups of Heather's cute face in the minute long scene. The tape was then removed but Heather was kept handcuffed for the remainder of the episode.

Do you check the "VCR Alerts" page? Someone posted it there a couple weeks ago.

Doh... I haven't had my 1st cup of coffee yet. It's not a dropdown box -- users can simply enter the #days in advance they want to search (to increase the default value from "1 Day").

I checked out Jay L page and don't think the description in the database is right. Saw this a few years ago and I'm sure she's gagged with a leather strap, not tape - not to be too picky though - a great scene regardless.

Hey, it is good to know that someone else remembers that magazine! Great looking women in every conceivable type of peril! I loved it! We must be about the same age! I also appreciate the Teresa Graves/ "Get Christie Love" reference; the black girl did look a lot like the lovely Ms. Graves. I had a major crush on her-- I was in 8th grade when the show aired way back in 1974-1975! Too bad it didn't last longer than one season!

It's a strap. I thought the same thing when seeing the cap first before the movie. It just looks like black tape. Was hoping Juliette Lewis was the recepient in that one.

Looks like black electrical tape to me.

You're correct about a few other things in the entry though.

Recall Camilla's character was the "other woman" found out about after the poor girl travelled all the way to Toronto, (aka "Trannah" aka "Leafs Nation").
She was only in danger whilst Callum Keith Rennie's hostage for the diamonds, or whatnot?.
After he shot, you knew a jilted lover not inspired to assist the "other woman".

I'll have to check into that

I hadn't scene this episode since the late 1980s, so was looking forward to the bonus features of the capture scene in the lounge and then the cuff scene in the camper. I know we poke fun at a lot of silly storylines over the years, but this one might have been the worst of all time, especially how the bad guy escapes from the lounge with the damsel and Stacy with police in and around the building! Plus, when he sits at the table with the kidnapped girl, Stacy just takes his order and doesn't move in to arrest the guy and save the girl. But, lucky for us he gets away.

One part in the middle of the episode had Hatch ordering food by himself at a food stand after he kidnapped the blonde and had set up the hotel room hideaway. I guess we were supoosed to just assume thew damsel was tied and gagged in the hotel room while he went out but nothing was ever shown.

Ya - just look at the cap carefully. She's got something all around the head. Looks leather or whatever to me. Defineatly not a tape job. Good job Jay L in any case.

Re: picture claire
Freezing frames, I see lots of edges (I fake these all the time) at intervals, where complete, of half an inch or a centimetre, indicating tight helically wrapped vinyl insulating tape of about that width. The upper edges and convex surface between them catch the light. I've never seen a single strap look like this.

That material is firmly stuck to the damsel's skin; its edges don't shift at all relative to her chin and nose, which pulls with it as she fights the gag. There is something trapped between layers below her left eye, creating wrinkles and a convex bump across one tape wrap, and a square cut-off tape end is visible near the top, just below her ear.

The material stretches and wrinkles across the back of her jaw as she raises her head, also a characteristic of vinyl tape, and there is no sign of a knot or buckle at the back of her head.

What looks like a thick edge at the bottom of the gag is not present in all shots, though judging by the wrap edges it may well be the same gag (RESPECT!)throughout. Much of the time, the edge is seen to be flush with, or below, the adjacent skin surface. I suspect the "thickness" in some shots is a photographic or transcription artifact.

I can't see any reason to think it's anything but tape.

IIRC, I think this episdoe was loosely based upon serial killer Chris Wilder who went around the country kidnapping young women in the mid-80s. He had one young woman who, for some reason, he kept alive and forced her to help him kidnap other young women.

Checking carefully again, for a very few frames I can see a bright buckle at the nape of her neck when her hair swings away from it. The gag thus appears to be a thin, narrow BELT, possibly her own, wrapped two or three times around her head and buckled tightly right at the end.

That would explain the resemblance to tape; the belt would have to be narrow, supple and layered to conform as it does to the taper of her face in the front view. A single band of leather would not do that unless very carefully shaped, and this looks very much an ad-hoc tie-up. A belt would probably be readily available, a custom gag strap without any other paraphernalia much less so.

The multiple edge lines, looking like tape borders, may be hem edges, where the thin material has been folded under and sewn or bonded. These would show through the surface once the belt was pulled tight enough, and the multiple edges would certainly grip well. A spot of spirit gum or double-sided tape would make sure it didn't slip amid the poor damsel's exertions! :-)

Note that the pronounced black edge at the bottom of the gag shows only when the damsel is on the floor, with the edge angled steeply upwards. The white complementary line parallel to it is also exaggerated at these angles. That suggests a videographic artifact of some sort, making the belt look slightly thicker than it is.

Anti-alert for Mujer en el Espejo
After checking the channel schedule & seeing promos it looks like Paolo Rey's hoped for scene is going to be pre-empted tonight by special programming on Telemundo. Hopefully it'll be shown on Monday.

Actually, I think this same plotline (kidnapper grabs a young girl, she ends up going along with him, a "willing prisoner" so to speak, and is forced to go along with other kidnappings of other women.
Wasn't there a TV movie some years ago also based on this same premise? I think it starred Shawnee Smith & maybe Gerald MacRainy (from Simon & Simon)??

Correct. "Easy Prey" (1986) was a drama about the manhunt for Christopher Wilder.

the best scene ever seen
Hi from Spain. I offer you to choose the best scene ever seen. But only one. I'm gonna start. For me, the best one was the scene with Carol Linley in "The Cat and the Canary", a 70ths movie. Linley was gorgeous in that movie. She was barefoot and tape gagged. The scene not was very long, but....

I put up the clip, and as usual did my normal highly technical analysis of the scene prior to doing so....
My take on the matter:
This clip sucks - they shoulda trussed up the French chick for starters, and then the one in the tight white sweater for an encore....

JP,

Good memory! That movie was named Easy Prey (1986) and was a made for TV movie starring Major Dad as SK Chris Wilder and Shawnee Smith as unwilling accomplice Tina Marie Risico.

Channel & time? If you guys who post alerts for the Spanish shows could put the channel it's on (Univision, Telemundo) that would be much appreciated, as not all of us can get all the Spanish channels. True, one could go to one of the TV Guide web sites but it would be much easier if the channel were given as well. Thanks!!
