MI-5
There was a scene on MI-5 tonight featuring Olga Sosnovska, who plays Fiona Carter, wife of the current lead.
She and a fellow agent are taken hostage by terrorists.
At about 12 minutes in she is handgagged. Throughout the episode she is seated in a chair. Her wrists are cuffed, first behind, then switched to front. Her ankles are chained, possibly to the chair (it was hard to tell).
About midway, she & her colleague attempt an escape, but are recaptured. After this, her hands are cuffed behind through the rest of the episode.

I think the problem is more a misunderstanding of the term leading to it's overuse, much like "holy grail" which is another commonly misused term.

> Some people have the habit of

I think a scene is a classic if the majority of opinion is that it's a classic. If it's a popular scene that incorporates enough different elements to please many people and fall under the "its got a little something for almost everyone", its a classic.

I'm not too sure about the authenticity of the original poster. He said he had a site where many people have been working hard the last four years to narrow down the list. I haven't seen the site or any of these people, theres no url and the post isn't even signed.

Looking for a book
I'm looking for a book I remember as a kid that some of you might recall. It was a collection of short mysteries ala Encyclopedia Brown, only it had more illustrations and some puzzles/games. One of the mysteries was about a bank robbery. The robbers tied up all the women but knocked out the lone male with a pipe (the writer had to be one of us!). The robbers kidnapped one of the girls, but she wrote a message in code on the typewriter. It turned out she merely hit the key to the left each time. Anyway, does this book ring a bell with anyone? Title?

Potential for all time Classic
A new movie is coming out soon called "D.E.B.S." It has a lot of potential from what I've read and seen so far.
College Girl spies in Catholic school girl outfits and a lesbian Villianous. All of them very hot...
In the pre-view clip it shows two traps: one girl falls through a trap door and the other is a set of spikes appearing inn the ceiling. Can the fiendish bondage table of doom be far behind?
This movie is expanded version of a short that did very well at Sundance and the director/writer has been written up in the gay magazine The Advocate.
And she is directing Lindsay Lohan in the Disney Herby the Love Bug remake.
Cross your fingers.

WE Commercial & Yahoo
Two things: One, just as I was gushing about how great Yahoo Email has become, they go and change the way they handle image attachments, making it much slower and harder to view them. Sigh.

Second, can someone please clip this WE/McLead's Daughters commercial? I must have taped and scanned thru 15-16 hours of that frickin channel without seeing the scene. Sheesh!

Thought I'd resurrect this topic from early Feb because this movie is due to air on Sci-Fi on March 26th. I know some have expressed doubts that this was hoax post, but I can confirm at least that Renee O'Conner is in the movie.

It sounds like another SciFi stinker though as the premise of the movie is that Renee and Bruce Campbell are scientist who return to Earth after a long space voyage to find the planet conquered by giant termites. What is it with SciFi and these giant bug movies?

Anyway, the movie premieres on the 26th and repeats on the 31st, so anyone not willing to take the plunge those of that will will report on any scenes.

Record number: 7625

Title: A Mind to Kill
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Ffion Wilkins

Description: Episode: "Green Wounds"

Roughly final 30 minutes of the episode, she's handgagged and abducted by a villain seeking revenge against her father. She is seen lying and then, later, seated in the back of his car. She is bound hands behind back, ankles together and gagged with swathes of clear Scotch/Sellotape wound around her head. There are several scenes, both day and night-time. They are all well lit, of reasonable duration, and with awesome facial close-up/reaction shots.

I would advise against trying to stop and start the VCR if taping these scenes, the cutbacks are too quick and unpredictable.

Believe it's

Record number: 8212

Title: Die Cleveren
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Ines Baric, Unknown

Description: Episode: "Der Fetischist" (11/2.3)

German crime series with a duo of profilers. A man with a foot fetish suddenly turns violent and starts killing women. Towards the end of the show, he lures his second victim named Sandra (Ines) into the attic, places her into a chair and ties her hands behind her (or we have to assume he does - her hands are not clearly shown). He also gags her with a strip of white tape. Nice mmphing by the damsel when he dresses her in silk stockings and begins to caress her feet. Police arrive in time to find her unharmed, a blanket thrown over her.

There is also an earlier scene with another girl in exactly the same predicament, who has to be identified yet.

Memo for the Boss aka the Moderator:
Should I stray here into the No Man's Land of being off-topic, my apologies in advance, but there's what I feel is a developing issue I or someone here should bring up.

I'm finding myself increasingly spending time in public libraries, more and more of which are offering Internet connections to laptop owners-either via open network jacks or Wi-Fi. That's the good news; the bad news is that many of these libraries filter those connections-and you know where this is going. Seems every filter vendor equates the content of this site-or what they must THINK is the content of this site-with you-know-what. So help me, I saw one blockpage message the other day that said the content here included "nudity," which made me almost laugh out loud (but I didn't-I WAS in a library, remember?). Can anyone here recall when the last nude picture appeared here-at least long enough for anyone to have seen it?

Anyway, I was wondering, Boss, if you've considered taking up this mischaracterization issue with any of the filter vendors? I know N2H2 has-or at least had-a website where you could throw in your URL and see how they had it categorized, and I believe there are/were ways you could contact them if you felt their judgment was unwarranted. Don't know if it'd do any good, but it might be something to consider.

Failing that, I know how to handle an overblock like this for most filters, but one library system I frequent is in the process of setting up a Wi-Fi network that's apparently going to use the Content Filter from Hell-DansGuardian, which, as they've configured it, isn't even letting people access their own e-mail, let alone web-based mailers. The stupid thing overblocked so badly I didn't even bother trying to come here, mainly because the standard method for going around it didn't work.

If anyone out there has any ideas as to how to deal with this, other than using the hotjacks and/or Wi-Fi at the one local library that doesn't filter this site, dropping me a line at the above address would be appreciated. Let's not wear out our welcome with the Boss by wasting any more of his bandwidth posting responses here.

Here's a perfect example of what we were just talking about. We have an anonymous poster complaining that nobody put up caps yet, and telling us that he can't wait any longer. The film has just been released in THEATERS last weekend!

Not a single please, thank you, etc. or even a signature on the post. Heres a suggestion.... spend the 6 bucks and go see the movie, or wait six months for DVD like everyone else (including cappers) has to.

Sorry Brian, but I think this needed to be said.

Gotta hurry here before there's nothing left to ID.

Pic 04 - 07 Anne Brendler in "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten"

Pic 08 - 10 must be Charlotte Schwab in "Alarm für Cobra 11". Probably this scene:

Record number: 6595

Title: Alarm fuer Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei
Actress: Unknown

Description: Episode: "Rache ist suess" (2.11)(?)

A woman is kidnapped, bound and tape-gagged by an unbalanced criminal who plans to kill her as part of a vendetta.

DiD possibly Charlotte Schwab, or Lena Sabine Berg?

Pic 15 + 16 Alexandra Maria Lara in "Maedchenfalle"

Pic 19 - 21 Marie Baeumer in "7 Monde"

Pic 22 + 23 Nadine Seiffert in "Wolffs Revier" (DB #10826)

So far for page 1. All scenes mentioned here are in the DB.

I casually knew Rena Sofer when she was on "Melrose Place." I asked her about what she did to Jamie Luner's character in their scene together.
She said, "I tied her up, I tied her up."
I asked, "did she get mad?"
She answered, "She was gagged."

Jay L already named four scenes on page two. Some more:

Pic 30 not sure, it could be Davia Dannenberg in "Die Cleveren", ep. "Die Ikone". I believe Raffish and Jay L also used the French ep title "La Reine de la Lande".

Pic 31 looks like a scene from the German show "Switch". This one is not in the DB.

Pic 35 + 36 again, not sure, probably Stefanie Stappenbeck in "Der Alte".

Pic 37 + 38 another guess, Andrea Sawatzki in "Wolffs Revier"

Pic 41 + 42 Susanne Caro in "Alarm fuer Cobra 11", ep. "Gefaehrliches Spielzeug".

I should be able to find one or two more if I give it some thought.

I don't know, Brian may delete this whole thread. I'm sure were pushing the limit of topicality.

I really am sorry. I should have been more clear and used some manners as you said. That wasn't a demand for caps, just asking if that sort of thing happens often, with caps coming out before the DVD does. Again, sorry about any misconception I may have thrown off.

You know, it's funny because last night, I actually tried an old method through which I have been able to obtain scenes before the DVD release. Unfortunately, the method is dead and not an option any more, so it was a no go.

I do have to say that had I been able to obtain the scene(s), after seeing a post such as the one in question here today, I would have chosen not to post the clips, simply to prove a point.

This has to be a kid. Very few adults I know exercise this small an amount of self-control, over a DID scene no less and right after a thread has occurred addressing the inappropriateness of such posts. All I can say is that somebody really needs to learn patience in the worst way.

Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber (2005)
I channel-surfed to/from this made-for-Oxygen network comedy, and did notice the following exchange between Jennifer Love Hewitt and her gay best friend (who early in the movie had, in a pique of artistic temperment, tried to commit suicide by sticking his head in his oven. However, it was an electric oven).

JLH (seeing her friend hitching his rowboat): "Hey, if you're going to kill yourself, can I join you?
"
Earring wearer: "Sure... would you like me to tie you up too?

Unfortunately, the wordplay or action doesn't advance this thought. Still, JLH fans will likely appreciate the number of gratuitous bra shots and jokes she makes at her most remarked-upon asset.

I'm going to drop this whole thread in the hopes Brian will leave the previous posts up, I hope the point is made.
I would however like to ask the site ownera topicality ruling on a related subject. I know the Big Kahuna is getting tired of the request's tone. If we have some clear guidelines it might make it easier to decide what kind of requests are legit and which ones to curtail.

I think a solution might be to let the cappers clear the air about filling requests, as long as it doesn't get into abusiveness or pettiness?

I'm sympathetic to letting people know the situation. We've
kind of already had one thread with some of the cappers
chiming in to show their dislike of badgering.

My feeling is that requests for caps of breaking scenes
are ridiculous. People will cap and post most such things
on their own schedule. Ones from the past are more
reasonable, as long as the requests are polite.

Posts complaining about lack of response are from now
on headed out.

Yeah, favouring that too.

Btw: Full French dub airing is L'Empreinte du crime, ep: "La Reine de la Lande"
along with the "L'Empreinte du crime" edited into the opening credits, and "La Reine de la Lande" edited in too.

I've tried to mark the labels in the original German titles for the fellas,
as this can cause confusion when have two or three dubbed German shows on one tape.

Here's some good advice. How about scraping up some cash and buying your own computer, or go to a friends' house and use theirs. If you insist on surfing the web in a public place where children may be present, your going to have these kinds of problems. Deal with it.

It seems to me that people seem to fall into gag-snob categories. I'm much, MUCH more a tape gag fan than a cleave or OTM person, and ballgags are a somewhat-distant second, but again, that's just me. I know some people here love the cleave gag scenes and are absolutely exhausted by the modern duct tape thing. For them, Golden Era Hollywood scenes have as much potential as anything some new NBC cop show or Spanish-language soap opera (which deserves its own roadside shrines at this point, if you ask me) is producing.

Maybe we should talk about what the best scenes of the 2000s, 90s, 80s, etc. are based on categories such as:

1. No gag.
2. Cleave gag.
3. Duct tape.
4. White tape.
5. Other tape.
6. Ball gag.
7. Hand gag.
8. Other gag. (Shawnee Smith in "Saw," for instance.)

This might be useful because even people who aren't thrilled with duct tape at all have a handful of scenes that still got to them because of their undeniable quality. For me, "Bound" is like that: a cleave gag scene that truly transcended.

Add here in general suggestion,
in cases like above TV shows, or "Cruelle destinée" is really the favoured TV Movie "Du hast mir meine Familie geraubt"

Suggest US cappers, (and imagine Traders in US?), go after the Actress names when not sure. It's the one thing they don't change.

The IMDB at the bottom of an actress (or "People"), page, has a slot you can match with another actress to bring up titles they appear together in.

While it is rather ridiculous to request caps from a new film that just went to theaters.
Certainly it's not out of the question to obtain caps from a just released film. Camera phones and video phones are readily available, easily carried into a theatre, take okay photos and can be sent via email right from the phone. I'm not an expert on the legality of such behavior, and would not encourage people to do so, but if someone really wants caps that desperately.....the technology is available.

My opinion on this thread is that in any community, including this forum, courtesy, politeness and appreciation go a long way. My thanks to those who provide us all with free content on weekly basis, it is appreciated.

Chris, I really don't want to start a flamewar here, but I think I need to repeat a sentence from my original post that you possibly might have missed (with capital letters added for emphasis):

"I'm finding myself increasingly spending time in public libraries, more and more of which are offering Internet connections to LAPTOP OWNERS-either via open network jacks or Wi-Fi."

In other words, I've already taken your advice, thank you. So much for the first point you made in your post. Your second one is somewhat more well taken, although the law mandating that libraries that take E-rate funds install filters applies only to THEIR computers-NOT yours or mine, since they can't be used, or ideally be seen, by the public at large.

But enough of that, since my main point was that many of these so-called filters are mischaracterizing the content of this website, which sort of goes against all the hard work of its owner to keep that from happening.

It's a safe bet that there's never been anything on this site that doesn't fall into the realm of Constitutionally protected expression-which means that any assertion to the contrary, especially by someone like a filter vendor who holds out that their judgment is the result of "human review-" i.e., someone actually looking at the site and evaluating its content-could result not only in unconstitutional censorship, but could even constitute unlawful defamation of those responsible for the content. I just felt that the site owner deserved a chance to do something about this if he wasn't aware of it and felt the need.

Okay, enough ranting for one weekend. Sooo...who was it who mentioned they saw the preview screening of "House of Wax?" How would you compare the scene to its two predecessors? Will Eliza Dushku join Fay Wray and Phyllis Kirk in the Hall of Fame?

Tied & True Tales updated
We've been enjoying a great Indian summer with a heavenly (and quite unseasonable) succession of 30+ C days after enduring one of the coldest, wettest summers for years which pleased no one except for the plastic rainwear freaks, like yours truly... *grin* Anyway, it's time for the latest update of Tied & True Tales for your reading pleasure with 3 new stories, including the latest instalment of "Relaxation Therapy" from my pen.

By the way, Priscilla (our bibulous, mutant roo mascot) just pointed out that it's Tied & True Tales' 4th birthday in just two weeks and it's party time! - therefore all contributions of beer may be sent to her at… *I really think that's quite enough, says Master Mason* but on a more serious level, we would sincerely welcome all story (or pictorial) contributions to help make it a birthday to remember - and that's something we'll drink to! :-)

Anyway, on with the show, as they say - As usual, check out the Updates page to find out what's new at http://www.restrainedtastes.com/ttt

There is a full-screen version. I finally caught it today after recording 6 different episodes of McLeod's Daughters. While it is a cute little scene, the DiD in question doesn't fit within the standards of this board.

According to the DB, there are two episodes in Season 4. I know I've seen caps of the one where two women are bound and gagged, but I couldn't find any in my collection.

I'll put up BOTH episodes next week in a mini marathon.

Greyman, sorry, I cannot cap, but you may have the scene. I taped just 4 hours on my DVD recorder Sat. afternoon and caught 2 versions of it in just a couple of hours. However, at 3x ff I din't see it, at 1x I caught it; small 1/3 box on upper right running with credits. Good luck.

That's what I figured, although it wasn't entirely clear. I wish later posters had read this before taking you to task, but patience is a virtue often unrealized, and the benefit of the doubt seldom given.

Of course, patience would be to your benefit, as well. In this day and age, it's almost impossible to whiff on a scene you hanker for ... not like back in the day, when if you missed something, you couldn't be sure you'd ever catch it again.

I imagine what got the filter's knickers in a twist wasn't nude images, but the descriptions of nudity in the DB and in occasional posts. As this isn't an art board dissecting Rubens' work, the sexual nature of that content likely raised a red flag (or icon).

I am, and I STRONGLY suggest against this camera-phone method. The MPAA and other film group/copyright enforcement lobbyists have been successful in many jurisdictions getting tough penalties for those found trying to record a movie in the theatre.

If you're caught, you can face fines in the tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars, and in some places you can even be sent to the slammer for a few years.

It's not worth it, so unless you like to live dangerously, don't try to cap material using a camera-phone.

And did you notice on the first close up how tight that cleave was, or how tight she "acted" it was; then in the 2nd close up the FBI glove couldn't even get a finger in it to pull it off. Nice to see a white cleave for a change too. 2nd scene of Sue Thomas tied hands in front in trunk not worth it, barely a scene at all; she's pulling tape off her wrists before the scene even starts.

I think it IS out of the question. Bringing a camera into a theater is highly illegal and will result in the theater calling the police and having you arrested.
Why would anyone risk jail time because some stranger 1000 miles away asked them to?

I for one appreciate the work the cappers do. Anubis and the others should the caps up when they are good and ready and not before. They have personal lives and can't focus their energies on capping movies the first day of a films release.

And to the impatient people waiting for caps, like a phrase from Mr. T's old bondage scans site read, "If you think you can do better, then please get to work."

Being a librarian, I have to say something. I access this site infrequently - AT HOME! The right to access this site is protected by the constitution, but it is a right, not a privelage, and neither the library nor anyone else is obligated to help you in accessing this site. There is a time and a place for everything, and the library is neither when it comes to this site. I love this site and am grateful for it, and thank God that I live in a country where we can access this without fear of being hauled away. But I recognize that this site is a naughty, though harmless, pleasure, and naughty pleasures, however harmless, are not for public spaces.
