If you click on the link, you'll be taken to a page where there's a link to a video presskit. The video is a monster file that's 20 megs and the clip runs to just under 7 minutes. At the 53 second mark, there's a cleave gag scene which I'm almost positive is Thora Birch. At the 6:22 mark, you get more of the scene as see that not only is the girl cleve gagged, but she's shacked to some type of table. |

I apologize. She's 'shackled', not shacked. It's been one of those days. |

Just checked out the clip; I don't think the first one is Thora, but the second one could be. Hard to be sure- would've helped if her eyes were open. If there's one thing Thora's got, it's distinctive eyes. Even if it isn't her, it looks like a couple of good scenes...as long as they don't drift into 'Hostel' territory, which it looks like they could (a lotta sharp implements on that table there). |

Don't know if anybody has posted this one yet, but I just got done re-encoding it and thought I would throw it up for a few days. Decent scene and an attractive lady. Nice Mmmphs too.

Always wished for Kelly Rutherford to have a scene in Brisco County. Didn't happen though. |

They are gagged and have their hands tied behind their back and their bare feet tied together. There was some struggling. Nice shots of their tied bare feet and tied hands. I couldn't ask for anything more. This is why I still chase scenes after all these years. Every once in awhile a gem like this shows up. Frank J and Doug do not miss the repeat showing on March 9. |

Yeah, and the violence, the bag over the head, which I found annoying, wasn't too gross by today's standards--i.e. the scene wasn't ruined by bloodshed. The plotting was a little sloppy--why mention that she is bringing a taser along when it never resurfaces (she should have pulled it on the badguy, who would then turn around and use it on her)? Why take the boat, what, 100 feet offshore, when he could have just steered into the ocean a ways? How many bullets were in the bad guy's gun, seventy? But most of the greatest scenes have dumb plotting. Also great, somewhat gratuitious wet scene after they are untied. |

Also, why have the tied and gagged damsels sitting on deck instead of down below where nobody could see them? That's where the scene started with the first damsel. Would have loved to have seen a struggle scene down below with the B&G damsels while the bad guy steered the boat out to sea. Bottom line, a great scene, but like all of them, we can always find plot holes. I also agree with the earlier poster. This is why we chase scenes to nail one like this. It makes up for all the empty shows we watch. There is an Alexandra Paul thriller on next Sunday at 5 p.m. on Lifetime. Says first time on TV, and like all of Alexandra's movies, she's in a thriller with the typical danger storyline. |

Tuesday February 21 14:38:42 2006 new tech and TV alerts ... |
OK, I just put a listing for a flick called "Illicit Sex" in the database. It's a softcore flick I got from Showtime's Video on Demand section. This is definitely THE way to if you want to get a scene from a crappy movie, because when you pull up a movie from the On Demand menu, you can fast-forward to the scene you want.
But I'm not sure how I should alert you guys to the On Demand feature. I can't really put it in the database listing, because the features are rotated on a (more or less) monthly basis. And it's not really suitable for the Alerts page because it's available anytime for the whole month it's on the On Demand menu. So anybody got any ideas? |

Tuesday February 21 14:48:08 2006 little help on DiD censorship |
In my article on First in Bondage (which I'm still working on, BTW) I have the following line:
"In the mid-1920s, a limited censorship move was instituted. Moral types complained that bad guys were often offering violence toward women in the movies, and it was felt that this was a bad thing, since it happened so much in real life (except that it was husbands, fathers and lovers who did most of the violence, not random villains). They raised a big stink about it and threatened Congressional action, so the movie companies voluntarily cut back on scenes of villains offering violence to women. This was a sign of things to come." This is based on, I believe, something I read on this discussion board. But I've done some looking and Googling and haven't found anything that directly supports this statement. Best I could do was a list of "Don'ts" and "Careful" issued by the Hayes Office in the 20s, which was widely ignored by the film industry. And which didn't contain any words about women not fighting or being tied up. Anybody have any idea what the source for the quote might be? |

Any scenes come to mind where there is angry gag talk (which can't be understood despite the anger.)

She's actually bound and gagged twice in the movie but I'm referring to the first scene when she duct taped up in the truck. |

In the first scene, the villain orders her boyfriend, at gunpoint, to bind and gag her. He has just bound her wrists with duct tape, and is about to gag her, when she makes admonitory comments, "Don't you DARE! Don;t you DARE!". He proceeds to tape her mouth shut, and she continues to make angry comments while gagged with duct tape. |

Tuesday February 21 19:13:27 2006 Romance Novels for Women Get Frankly Sexual |
The lead story in the February 21st USA Today newspaper's "Life" section dovetails nicely with a Brian's Page discussion topic a couple weeks ago on romance novels getting edgier -- with some series even having an occasional bondage scene.
Excerpts from the article: "Kensington introduced its erotica line, Aphrodisia, in January. Harlequin's Spice imprint hits stores in May, and HarperCollins will publish the first two titles in its Avon Red line in June. Berkley was a pioneer with its Heat line last May. Mainstream bookstores also are finding erotica attractive. Since Borders began carrying women's erotica in Summer 2004, gorwth has been in double digits... The customer is primarily the existing romance customer." |

---- Probably my favorite which comes immediately to mind is Ursula Andress in "Red Sun" (1971) -- which is also an above-average Western (merely starring Charles Bronson and Toshiro Mifune) even without its two DiD scenes for Andress. |
