Wednesday March 22 00:17:37 2006 teasing is just plain mean |
Has anyone ever caught a scene in a sitcom where they mention bondage in passing just for a cheap laugh? I can think of two examples
1. "Yes Dear" the character Kim goes into length describing Japanese Hentai comics while the rest of the family stares 2. "Girlfriends" The character Lynn says something along the lines of "No, you don't "grow to like" a boyfriend. You grow to like types of food, or different kinds of bondage, but not boyfriends." its just enough to start you thinking what could have been... any other examples? |

Both were also spoken by the ultra-cute Crystal Bernard. In one, she reads from a book the chapter title "Broadway Bound and Gagged" and in the other she makes a reference to dialing 911 with your nose while bound and gagged. Such a tease, that one. |

Maybe the first book? Young adult novels are a good source for DID scenes though. I’ve noticed some talk about Nancy Drew, and yes, she was frequently and creatively bound. But the Trixie Belden series had a few good tie ups. In “Trixie Belden and the Mysterious Visitor,” the badguy gags her and ties her hands behind her back. Luckily, her brother Mart is on hand to untie her ... but when they realize the badguy is coming back, Mart ties her up again and hides. In “The Mystery on the Mississippi,” both Trixie and her best friend are caught by the badguys, bound and gagged, and left in a houseboat for a day or two. “Killing Mr. Griffin,” by Lois Duncan has a hogtie, and some extreme distress for the damsel - she’s abandoned in a burning building. They made it into a TV movie with Amy Jo Johnson. I didn’t see it, and there isn’t an entry in the database, so I don’t know if that scene is in the movie. In “Just Ella,” by Margaret Peterson Haddix, Ella tells the prince she doesn’t fancy him, and he wrestles her down and ties her up with her own petticoats. |

No details other than family caught in a storm at some secluded location, but it's listed as a thriller, so there must be some peril going on. With all the scenes popping up lately, I know it's a lot to ask, but a full-treatment for Mitzi even now would be awesome. |

One of the worst, imho, is the Gilliagan's Island episode where Don Rickles plays a kidnapper who kidnaps the women for Mr. Howell's money. Although we get to see Mrs. Howell gagged for the first and only time, we only get to hear Ginger and Mary Ann describe their bondage scenes which would have been a classic. Everybody Loves Raymond had a scene where Ray and the clan were all down stairs and his wife and twin sons are upstairs. We hear his wife yell, "Boys untie me!". Ray and the clan just stand around looking sheepishly and soon his wife comes down and yells at dumb butt for not coming to help her. Could have been the first mom/babysitter scene since the 50's. Then there was a short black and white film shown on SNL around 1990. I think Steve Martin was host. It was about a young married couple dealing with all the noise and confusion in their life. In one scene the guy comes home to find a cowboy and indian movie blasting from the telly while his two kids chase each other around dressed as injuns. He runs off into the kitchen and we cut to the kids again. When then cut back to him coming back out of the kitchen with his wife, a sexy dark haired lady. They pause and the wife yells over the din, "Thanks for untying me. And putting the fire out!" The couple then run from the house. Now why the idiot writer and/or director thought it would be funnier if she said she was tied up rather than showing her tied up I have no idea. |

Hello All,
I'm a little late on this one, but last weeks Boston Legal (ABC) 10 PM EST, has a quick cuff scene at the beginning for the hot blonde. She was cuffed by cops and led to the elevator whilst protesting. I'm sure it'll repeat eventually. Sorry, don't know her name. It's not the Babe from the now defunct show "Ed" but the one that is the assistant to the Alan Shore character. |

The damsel is bound hand and foot with rope and gagged with tape. I also like the illustrations that accompany the described scenes ( Sylvie, I just love the one you posted. I love vintage quality bondage drawings. That's true DiD mise-én- scene, imo ). > “Killing Mr. Griffin,” by Lois Duncan has a hogtie, and > some extreme distress for the damsel - she’s abandoned in > a burning building. Anyone know if any of the episodes in question are on the various Once A Thief DVD's out there? Most of the scenes weren't any great shakes, but there were a couple I rather liked.
Near as I can tell, besides the pilot (which has no scenes IIRC), there's two others: "Family Busines" and "Brother Against Brother", neither of which appears to be an episode title, and I'm actually not entirely certain those AREN'T the pilot, as well. |

Since I've never seen this on one of their covers, in the latest Scooby Doo comic book we have a cover with Fred, Shaggy and Scooby and Thelma in trouble in Daphne has to rescue them. Thelma is strapped down to a table while a knife edge pendulum swings toward her, Fred is being lowered into what looks like boiling oil and Shaggy and Scooby are being threatened by lasers.
I wouldn't be mentioning it, but how often is Thelma the one in bondage? It is issue number 106. Skytower |

The new Nightstalker with sexy ass Gabrielle Union had definite potential with her as a skeptical and snooping reporter. The USA Network came up with a Kojak series remake that in fact did produce a couple of scenes but none with super sexy Latina Roslyn Sanchez. She had the potential to be the next Alex from Walker Texas Ranger. She was the on again off again love interest of Kojak and an Asst DA. Another series that ended too soon was The Lost World...
Granted, it had three seasons. But it came incredibly close to getting a fourth (and possibly more). They were dressing the sets and everything for a fourth season when some legal/financial glitch at the last second snowballed until eventually the series was permenantly shelved. That show had tons of great damsel-in-distress set-ups, and chruned out scenes every other week (including four full-treatments for Jennifer O'Dell). I have the feeling that if that series had kept going, we would've gotten at least a couple more B&G'd actresses from it. Again, the annoyance is that it was so close to being renewed... |

---- Wasn't "Amazon", which produced standout scenes for both its female series regulars, another UPN show? I *thought* "Amazon" was getting decent enough ratings, so I was puzzled by its cancellation after one season. Maybe the "corporate suits" didn't like its higher-than-average production expenses. |

I believe it featured two bound and gagged damsels in its short stint on television. One was Brittney Powell, and the other was Kristin Datillo-Hayward. The former was bound and very ineffectively gagged in her bikini, and the other was bound and gagged on a horse. The idiot villain didn't even bother to tie the cloth gag in Ms. Powell's mouth; he merely stuffed it inside. Two other defunct series that come to mind are "B.A.D. The poster who pegged the scene at around 50' in was right. For whatever reason, some well-meaning folks are godawful at telling time. If you're going to give a scene time, please check your watch. If you get discombobulated and are unsure, give the best ballpark guess that's unquestionably accurate ... e.g., if you think a scene begins about the 45' mark, but aren't dead solid certain, but are sure it's in the last twenty minutes, post that. I realize that stating the bleedin' obvious, but it seems that sometimes it's bleedin' obvious that it needs to be stated. |

Guy involved with Nash Bridges was in charge. Nothing came of it. Ditto Soccer Moms, with tape gag veteran Kristen Davis as a desperate housewife who gets involved in murder mysteries. Jenny McCarthy was in a pilot that sounded like a ripoff of Honey West (and Honey West could have lasted longer, come to think of it). There was also a pilot made about lesbian P.I.s, I think in New Orleans. Never aired. Also the sitcom set in Irving Klaw's photo studio in the fifties (I made that last one up). Partners in Crime did not last long enough. Robocop the tv series was actually a good show, and it delivered on this page's topic (the hot hologram Robocop used to chat with should have gotten the treatment at some point). |

Interesting little blurb on one of the Wrestling archive pages I found (can you tell I seem to be becoming obsessed with the Alexis Laree bondage scene on TNA??) :-)
The recap was for August 6, 2003 (lots of extraneous stuff edited out, obviously): "Suddenly, Father Mitchell of The New Church comes on the TNA-Tron from the back where Slash and Brian Lee have The Gathering, Julio and Alexis Laree, bound and gagged as Brian Lee waves about a flaming torch. Mitchell offers Raven, someone who he considered at one point completely amoral, a choice, a moral dilemma. Raven can stay in the ring and finish off Douglas or come and save The Gathering before they light Alexis and Julio up." A little bit later, it continuted with: "We then cut to Jim Mitchell and The New Church in the ring, as they have The Gathering (Julio and Alexis) bound with leather straps with ballgaggers in their mouth. Mitchell is amazed that Raven took the moral high ground to try and save The Gathering". What is VERY interesting about this is that this is the first time I've ever heard that Alexis was BALLGAGGED as well as cleave gagged (I've seen pics of the first segment & she seeemed to be tied up & cleave gagged). I guess by the time they are taken to the ring the cleave has been replaced with a ballgag (or else it was a ballgag all the time, maybe one of those thin kinds that can be mistaken for a cleave, especially if her mouth was partially closed). Man we gotta find this scene! |

Pfeiffer did have two scenes, the lengthy OTM scene and that ever elusive tape gagged in the tunnel scene, a holy grail of mine (anyone got????) Dog And Cat also had 2 scenes, both in the same episode. For which, btw, I just submitted a correction to the DB. |

News conferences, magazine articles, a pilot that may or may not have been filmed... The stars would have been KAREN KOPINS, TÉA LEONI [Yes, TÉA LEONI!!], CLAIRE YARLETT, & SANDRA CANNING. Talk about your prime DiD-fodder! The mind boggles! {Sigh} |

Bishop? It was obviously written by someone very familair with bondage. there are several in this series with great bondage scenes. Some are completely void of bondage. Maybe a different author |

The Dirty Harry books were written by martial-arts film expert Ric Meyers, who, if I recall correctly, also writes bondage fiction (the "Tyler" series, among others) under the name Geoffrey Merrick. Though he did work with Bishop toward the end of Bishop's career, I don't believe Meyers/Merrick is actually an artist. |

Note that the new series "The Evidence" stars Rob Estes, who is married to Josie Bissett. She hasn't showed up in anything lately, so it's a possibility she'll make it into this series. One can always hope...
FYI, Jodie Lynn O'Keiffe showed up as a cop in the pilot episode, with a possibility of future appearances. |

If a scene time of a DID must be "unquestionably accurate" then maybe we are taking this a little bit too seriously. Just an observation, since you mention it. Is it the end of the world if the scene time is 40 minutes or 43 minutes? |

She's next shown cleave-gagged with a white cloth and bound hands behind. Whilst she bound & gagged, her friend/rival uses the opportunity to move in on the prettyboys. First she gives the bandit guy some food and flirts with him. Then goes to town to dance for everybody (both gals ballet dancers). The bandit ungags her and offers her the food. She appears to reject it, but her stomach growls. He puts it on her lap and leaves her still bound and unable to get at it. Which rattles her and she starts sqwacking |
