So, know we can make comments on actresses in movies?
Title: Show Me (2004) Medium: Movie Actress: Michelle Nolden an ugly guy and his equally ugly girlfriend. I actually like Katharine Isabelle...And the film isn't that bad either. |

If it was on America's Most Wanted, it was a mainstream DID which DOES belong on this board. Now, if they showed the actual clip of the real life situation, you are right. But they did not. They showed an actress and actor playing the role, which makes it appropriate. maybe you don't find it interesting, but that's ok. Some people here don't find gag-less scenes interesting. But others can still talk about them. |

I composed the Database Entry for this movie, and was unaware that the author of an Entry cannot include his opinions of either the actors or the movie. I apologize if I've caused any trouble, but I was sorely disappointed by this movie, and didn't find the actress who played one of the kidnappers particularly attractive. I thought that it was acceptable to freely express one's opinions in a Database Entry, including those about the aesthetic appeal of the actresses. There are countless Database Entries which state that an actress isn't particularly attractive or is middle-aged. As a regular contributor to this Message Board and the author of many Entries to the voluminous Scene Database, I would like to know the guidelines for composing a Database Entry. Should the Entry be as neutral as possible, almost completely devoid of the author's opinions? Many bondage scenes occur in low-budget movies with asinine plots; is it acceptable for the author to mention his opinion of the quality of the movie? If the author feels that a damsel appearing in the movie or television program isn't much to look at, can he do so? Perhaps I was being needlessly harsh. The kidnappers in the aforementioned movie are derelict street kids, a group not typically noted for physical attractiveness. The actress was made up to look like a girl who doesn't take care of herself. I'm sure that she's actually quite attractive in real life, and that I would certainly be elated to meet her. |

But others can still talk about them. I doubt the original poster was debating the mainstream topicality of the scene, but was rather pointing out that in the past *most* posters on brianspage have agreed that scenes based on brutal, real-life crimes (i.e. graphic murders) are a real turn off (much more so than whether a scene is gagless or not). Of course, there are a few posters who don't seem to be fazed by such scenes... so let them discuss it. I seem to recall there being some debate over this years ago in AG (sparking one of my all-time favourite quotes from this site: Poster #1: "I don't doubt someone here is a murderer or rapist in real life." Poster #2: "Oh shit! They're on to me! I better rebury the bodies in the backyard!" |

I haven't done so in the past because people are very good at adding scenes to the database. Everytime I went to enter a scene, it was already in there. |

It is the moderators decision on all of this. Since this is the discussion page I would like to comment on it. It is probrably best just to stick with the facts and be neutral when entering a scene. The reason is tastes vary greatly. One persons garbage can be another persons treasure. I thought Saw was a horrible unwatchable piece of trash, but I'm sure someone else out there liked it. Besides, if someone is curious about the quality of the movie there are a lot of sites out there already that deal with that. Same thing happens with taste in women. The problem here is writing someone is ugly discourages someone from getting that scene. It might have been a scene that they would have enjoyed because they don't find that person ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. |

I took it out as what happens, some times posters feel the need to come to their favourite actress defence, but can't "reply" to an entry Figure fair all around |

Realise here, priority over there on DB Corrections is ID'ing episode titles, requested for these shows airing in other countries. So other things like this go along slower until brought up. The poster, or how long been posting has nothing to do with it. |

Sunday April 09 11:05:46 2006 personal garments |
My mind went blank when I thought of this. The only actress I can recall getting gagged by her own peice of personal clothing was Jennilee Harrison in Simom and Simon. (The bad guys used her own head bandanna) What other scenes out there had the actress gagged by what she was wearing, ie. scarf, neck tie, socks pantyhose etc. |
Sunday April 09 11:35:57 2006 General Hospital possibility |
Friday's episode ended with Manny grabbing Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and holding her at knifepoint in a hospital. Spoilers for Monday say that he'll abscond with her and that on Tuesday, Manny will be shot after Elizabeth breaks loose. |

Sunday April 09 12:26:54 2006 Messiah: The Harrowing |
Just show preview for this two parter of Messiah. It showed a girl with a flashlight pointed at her. She was wearing a black tape gagged and appeared laying on the floor.
Seconds later, they showed a lady with grey duct tape over her mouth. Nothing in the database. The two parter of "Messiah:The Harrowing" will be aired on BBC America at 9pm in Mon the 10th and Tues the 11th. |

His lovely wife (Louise Saint-Cyr), unaware of his occupation, follows closely and discovers his secret life. The trail leads them to a run-down rooming house populated by an odd set of characters. Towards the end of the movie they grab a pretty woman suspect (Googie Withers) and bundle her into the back of a moving car. Louise is told to pull off one of the woman's stockings and use it as a gag and a nice thin cleave-gag it makes. Then she pulls off the other stocking and this is used to tie the woman's hands. Meanwhile the woman is waving her bared feet around nicely. Later we see her sitting in a chair, still gagged, although the gag seems to have changed somewhat |

In an episode of the 1963/64 "The Richard Boone Show" (Run Pony, Run ???) a woman undressed to her full slip is tied with her nylons.
Memory is faulty regarding a gag. Unable to find any info as to who the actress was. |

It was Bethel Leslie. No gag. Robert Blake was the kidnapper, but Blake's girlfriend tied Bethel up (can't remember who that was). You'll recall that Bethel played Pamela Kingsley/Bellwood's mother in that "Mannix" epsode. |

Sunday April 09 23:21:03 2006 West Coast alert: Covert Action |
There's a movie on CBS tonight called COVERT ACTION, which is a spy thriller with Stephen Dorff and Mira Sorvino. I missed the first 10 minutes, but when I checked in 10 minutes in, Sorvina was being driven in a car by a bunch of thugs and had her hands cuffed in front. She managed to get ahold of one guy's gun and shoot the car up, then escaped. I don't know if a capture was shown prior, but I'm guessing there might be some more potential scenes in this two-part, four-hour movie. Tonight's first part aired late in the midwest due to the Masters running long. The second part airs next Sunday at 8 p.m. CST. |

Nothing in the promo for next week, but definite possibilities with Mira on the run from the bad guys. During the movie, the "CSI: Miami" promo for the final 4 episodes showed a female guest with hands tape-tied in front. Seconds later, looked like the same female shown tape-gagged on the floor. With all the regular hotties on this show, I wish one of them would get a gag. Procter, Eva LaRue and the Latina sister of one of the CSIs regulars. |
