Flash Gordon "The Claim Jumpers"
> Great scene!

Good God, man...the DB does not lie. I finally caught this one tonight, courtesy of the DVD, and just had to share.

(BTW, folks who downloaded clips from my old site should note that my newer ones use H.264 rather than 3ivx compression, which is a step up in quality and also comes standard with the most recent QuickTime releases. If you have any problems with it, make sure your QuickTime installation is up-to-date, and they should go away.)

There's a better working link in the homepage.

"Taylor, a delight as Paula, is a Harron veteran having starred in her superb ‘‘I Shot Andy Warhol,’’ as did Jared Harris, making memorable work here of the small role of the Klaw’s chief photographer, John Willie, who feels equally at home tying one on as he is discussing religion with Page while she’s bound and partially gagged."

Partially?

FYI-Alert for this coming Tuesday on Spike
After looking up some more info on this movie (I found a cap on HTF's site), i dont think it's Henstridge tied up, but there is a scene.

Steal
Day: Tuesday April 25 2006
Time: 9PM ET
Channel: Spike
The preview for this movie quickly shows a woman suspended by her wrists wearing a mini skirt and a sleeveless belly top. It may be Natasha Henstridge.

In the future, do NOT post huge images like that.
Use a link instead.

Wow. You didn't need that entire giantic link. I've
cut it down to the essential part.

The damsel in Steal is Karen Cliche of Adventure Inc.

Thanks. I'm not used to the UK eBay URL's. Didn't realize they were that long (about twice the length of US URL's).

Does anyone know the official imdb name of "Steal"? I tried going to the Spike web-site for info, but they use Active-X & I can't get it to load. (I don't trust Active-X.)

Uh... nevermind. "Steal" is "Riders (2002)". (Imdb URL below.)

Spike, Tuesday, "Steal" (aka "Riders")
Yeah, it'll be KAREN CLICHE; but based on reviews, I strongly suspect the scene will be *very* putz contaminated. Karen's character is a member of a gang of extreme-sports thieves, the entire gang gets captured by a bad guy, and they're "persuaded" to do jobs for him. (By the way, the reviews were *bad*.)

I remember seeing the caps at HTF, but can't find them now. They were part of a mixed lot he did as an update. If you Google image on "Karen Cliche" and riders, you'll see a small cap of the scene.

Bettie Page Chicago Tribune Review
Yesterday's Chicago Tribune had a review of the new Bettie Page movie. The review was written by a woman, and includes the following interesting paragraph:

"She's like Betty Crocker coming out with a tray of cookies and yet she's posing with a whip," Harron has said of Bettie's kinkier photos--pics that seem quaint today. It's a tough balance to maintain--sustaining the wholesome while posing in handcuffs and leather bustier--and actress Gretchen Mol is up to the task, realizing Harron's interpretation of Bettie with an innocent sexuality and love of life. (There's a great moment when Bettie, tied up and gagged, cringes at a friendly photographer's potty mouth.)

I've seen some caps on the web that show putzes around and Cliche tied upside down in the same setting. I dont care how quick the scene is-this chick is due since she avoided all of Adventure Inc. and Mutant X without an AOH scene.

You know The Notorious Bettie Page was directed by a woman? Mary Harron, who did American Psycho.

Every review I've read has been positive. The new issue of "Entertainment Weakly" has it on its "Must List"... AND *STILL* IT'S ON LIMITED RELEASE IN THE USA!! I can't even find discussion of a *date* for wide release. I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD.

Yeah, we need to go for girl-next-door *CUTE*, rather than Classic Beauty.

( Dawn Wells + Teryl Rothery + Alyson Hannigan ) ; train as cheerleader & gymnast until graduation from High School ; ...then... DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE WITH HER!!

I imagine it will only have a limited release. From the distributor's site:

"Picturehouse is a joint venture of HBO and New Line Cinema, and many of our releases will air on HBO some time after their theatrical run. However, some of our films might end up on other channels."

I think it's called an "Update" (or "Spoiler", "Non-Alert", etc). For myself, I will be out of town Monday night & it's kinda nice to know I won't have to worry about setting my VCR timer to record RAW now. I appreciated the (non-)head's up on the show.

I like it when, for example, our Canadian friends alert us in advance to shows that they get before us down in the States get, that either deliver or don't deliver, so we can either record or not worry aobut.
