For better or for worse, decisions are my responsibility alone. It's not a committee, and while user input is solicited and received I'm the one who makes the calls. I'm happy to explain if asked, but pestering me with constant, "You're wrong, you're wrong" messages is not productive. I always have to balance the good of the page and the disparate users. I will always do what I think is right. You don't always have to agree, or like it, but when I say that's the way it is, I expect you all to have some respect for the idea that it wasn't easy, and that I did what I thought was best for all concerned. It's seldom possible to please everyone, sometimes not even myself. |

An attractive blonde was tied to a chair and cleave-gagged while a flustered policeman with a notepad was trying to take a report. The caption of the cartoon seemed to state that the woman was oversexed and needed to be bound and gagged in order to constrain her insatiable sex drive. |

It wasn't exactly Hallmark, but when I was a kid ('60s), there was a series of "Monster Valentines" -- I wish I could remember the exact name, because I wouldn't mind seeing one of them again. IIRC, they were about post-card size, sold in packages of five, like baseball cards. Anyway, I bought the whole set of them from a friend just so I could get THE ONE: A blonde cutie in a black skirt, red top & black heels is reclining, tied hand and foot with an apple in her mouth on a giant plate. Above her is a giant leering monster holding a knife and fork, and the caption was "I'd love to have you for dinner sometime!" |

Then again, maybe we have that rare situation where the director, writer(s) and actors are are of one mind and dedicated enough to their craft to do this particular scene right, or at least try to imagine something that would work. This is not to say that anybody involved has any experience in such things. Hollywood film people doing DiD stuff in their personal lives? Perish the thought. ;) What do the experts have to say about the effectiveness of such a combination chair/suspension tie? Would this really work? And for the record I predict this scene will be short, Angelanus running into the room and debonding the damsel for a quick escape. |

Brian is like the Supreme Court: he doesn't have the final say because he's right-- he is right because he has the final say. Of course, there has to be a certain amount of respect going both ways- if we thought Brian was constantly wrong or unfair, we probably wouldn't want to post here in the first place. But I think that the fact that there are so many long time regulars here shows that we understand he is doing an overall good (not perfect) job. And that's on top of the fact that he provides this resource to us free of charge. I give Brian a lot of credit and respect for keeping this going over the years...I don't have to constantly agree with him to do so. |

Friday March 10 18:11:19 2006 Entertainment Weakly delivers again |
The new issue of EW (#868; March 17, 2006; "Oscar Winners & losers") has *two* photos with bondage.
(1) Page 90. *Finally*, clear evidence that *someone* in Hollywood knows how to tie the talent to a chair when the script calls for it! Wrists duct taped to the chair arms; tight ropes around the torso; knees tightly tied together... only one *tiny* problema: the talent in question is *Matthew McConaughey* in a scene from "Failure to Launch". {Yuk, yuk, ptooie!} (2) Page 103. Billie Piper in DOCTOR WHO! More putz contamination (Christopher Eccleston), but I've got a weak spot for Rose Tyler. :-) (See dBase entry #11388) |

Preview shows a lady with weights roped to her feet and dropping to the bottom of the ocean. Lady appears dead already and her hands were not bound in preview. Blonde regular states "another dies with the same rope and weight". There could be a slim chance of something other than the body dumping. |

Friday March 10 23:24:20 2006 Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction |
I noticed two other episodes not mentioned in the database that I managed to catch last year on tape.
1. Lady gets "eyes" from a donor and she keeps staring at a man. Eventually the man has her hands bound behind her and she is setting on a bed in a hotel room. He gets drunk and passes out. She gets up and walks backwards to the door and lets her self out and you see a quick shot of her bound hands as she runs to the front office for help. No gags and her feet are never tied. 2. Lady and her husband standing in garage with ducttape wrapped occasionally around them from neck to their legs. No gags and the lady uses her mental ability to set of the fire alarm in the garage. First one is called something like "eyes for you" and I seem to forget the second one. Thought some may want to know if these episodes may air again in the future. |

Friday March 10 23:30:14 2006 comic book |
The first issue of Paula Peril is now available and contains the chained to a slab/Pit and the Pendulum homage that was previewed here a while back.
The back up story, "Who is Paula Peril?", gives us another scene with our intrepid heroine bound arms above her head (with hands also encapsulated by the ropes), ankles tied and an over-the-mouth cloth gag (and some mmrph-ing). The ad for the next issue shows PP discovering another woman bound and gagged. All in all, quite a nice package for a few bucks. Plus, they are soliciting reader artwork for their website/subsequent issues. Get out those art supplies, gang! |
