Don't be so sure. Fox has been disappointed with this show's ratings all season. It's been losing more than half of the "Idol" audience before the time switch this week. Last year, "House" lost only 30 percent of the audience.

It'll likely get renewed, but this show will be nowhere near Wednesday nights next season. Likely a switch to Friday, where it will likely die, like every other Fox show that airs on Friday.

Also read Sci-Fi will air the unaired episodes of "Night Stalker" this summer. I think 4 or 5 were filmed and not aired before cancellation.

Would this be the good-looking redheaded daughter of the X-Man Banshee? I wonder whether she's been bound and gagged on other occassions, considering the fact that her power is a sonic scream?

So I'm bored..
...and stricken with a case of insomnia and am reading looking through the loonie ravings of the the lazy (clearly, the simple act of pressing the power button on a remote control is simply too much work for these poor, poor parents) folks at the parent's television council.
Came across this and was wondering if any of you folks had the scene. Some of their "worst shows of the week" have clips, but sadly, this one does not :( Sounds like it might be a bit lame, but hey...

The current set of episodes is a couple’s competition and in the second stunt of the January 31 installment, the couples were handcuffed together and forced to navigate through a tight web of criss-crossed electrified wires as quickly as possible, while grabbing flags attached to the wires.

I'll be checking their list from time to time for a dose of comic relief, as well as to see if we've missed any other scenes.

Don't recall any movies but I remember an interview on on 60 Minutes, maybe 15 years ago, with a group of female coal miners. The subject was harassment of the females by male miners. One of the women described being grabbed by some male miners and "wrapped up like mummy" with tape and left in the mine for a period of time. She didn't go into any detail.

Love the Patricia Collins images from 'Hot Shots'.
Perhaps the perfect short scene (pics don't do it total justice)

I checked the scene direct from MJ's DVD - it's not tape but a light blue cloth cleave - possible "scene creep"

'Hot Shot' pics are at Ally_Sheedy1 Yahoo Group (also decicated to great 80's scenes) in the Photos section

1) Thick, TIGHT white cleave
2) Gorgeous blonde doctor with short skirt

Plot was that villains spring friend from hospital room and leave cute doc B&G

Pics don't show some really nice mmmphing when she's discovered

DID's in books
With the ocassional threads regarding Nancy Drew novels popping up every now and then, I was curius as to how much description, if any, is devoted to the DID scenes experienced by both Wakefield sisters and so wonderfully brought to life by the Daniel sisters on T.V. Being that these are children's books I'll understand if there wasn't much, but I just wanted to know. Asside from that, could anyone recomend any adult novels which contain DID scenes? They don't necessarily have to be sexual and I'd prefer it not be consensual, but just situations where one or more women are tied up or taped up, attempt to free themselves and try as hard they can to cry out through their gag or try and remove their gag. Thanks in advance for any help.

This could be redundant . . .
I don't have time to read all of the posts on this site any more, so I'm not sure anyone has mentioned this yet. Anyway, I think I saw a handgag in the promo for the new Rob Estes/Orlando Jones show called "The Evidence" (which looks like "CSI" for cool people or something). Just thought I should mention it in case nobody else had yet.

Great work! Now that's an image I'd like to see up on the silver screen. I think Alicia Witt would be a great choice for Gwendoline and Chris Cooper would be a great D'Arcy. For the Countess and her maid; Kate Beckinsale and Selma Blair respectivley.

Likely done during the filming of the scene, and these photos not matching the actual scene is now common. "Into the Blue", "24" with Aylesworth and Cuthbert had different promo shots, as well as the ballgag scene in "Alias" that never turned up.

On "Bones," I don't think we ever saw her feet tied to the chair, like in the photo, did we?

Mutatis mutandis
Some of you will be acquainted with that old Latin phrase "mutatis mutandis". It means "When the things that need changing have been changed". This phrase occurs to me whenever I encounter one of the worst annoyances that can befall a BDSM buff like me: an absolutely great bondage scene -- one that's picturesque, convincing, half-naked, and potentially very sexy -- and it's utterly thrown-away and wasted on a MALE victim. When this happens, I have to put my brain in the ol' mutatis mutandis mode and try to re-jigger the scene in my mind with a female victim, a process which, to paraphrase an old sports proverb, is like kissing my sister. (As long as we're paraphrasing people, let's do it to Mark Twain: "The difference between a good bondage scene with a female victim and the same scene with a male victim is the difference between a lightening-bolt and a lightening-bug.")

Here is a handful of my favorite examples:

--RAMBO II. Sylverster Stallone, stripped to the waist, is hung in a pit of pigshit, his hands tied to a wooden yoke. Then he is brought inside and seated on a bench with his hands tied behind him. THEN he is tied to a metal frame for a long stretch of electrical torture while being taunted by a deliciously evil Steve Berkoff. This whole rigamarole cries out to be re-done with some big strapping actress like Lucy Lawless.

--THE FIRST 9 1/2 WEEKS. The male and female leads go into a barn where slaves used to be whipped. They find some manacles still hanging by a post. She playfully chains his hands above his head and starts kissing him. He says, "Unchain me", but she says, "Not yet", and unbuttons his shirt, takes HER top off, and proceeds to some very heavy smooching. This whole scene would be almost unbearably sexy if only SHE were the one chained up.

--THE JEWEL IN THE CROWN. Tim Pigott-Smith, a sadistic British police officer, has a naked male Indian brought into his office with his hands cuffed behind him. There's a long, leisurely taunting scene, after which the Indian is tied over a hurdle-like contraption and flogged and taunted some more. A very well-done scene, if only the victim were a woman. (Later in the series, the officer is revealed to be gay, so it all makes sense with respect to the characters, but that doesn't do ME any good!)

--JUST CAUSE. Ed Harris, playing a homicidal madman, is brought into a prison interview room and handcuffed-and-shackled to a steel table for a talk with Sean Connery. The hard metal fetters and table would make a nice juxtaposition with a soft, vulnerable female body.

I could go on and on. But you see the pattern.

I hear that Kim Jong-Il, the dictator of North Korea, has built a movie studio just for his use. If I were that man I would forget about nukes and spend that money instead on a vast project to re-shoot all the good male bondage scenes in the catalog with actresses, thus elevating myself to the first rank of great statesmen of the world.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this, or an I the only madman out here who suffers from this particular gripe?

The new "My Network" (the one that's doing the American versions of the "telenova"-type soaps) will be coming to KRON-channel 4. Obviously, it'll be a while before we know if the shows offer us anything, but nice to know we'll have access if they do.

More likely it was a scene that was cut from the version that was actually shown.

Angelina Jolie gets tightly handgagged by Colin Ferrell in "Alexander" (director's cut) - Video of the scene available in my group (see address above)

Emmanuelle Seigner gets shortly (and darkly) handgagged by Harrison Ford in "Frantic" by Polanski, and much longer in the recent french comedy "Ils se marierent" by Yvan Attal.

Actually ITV used film not tape. This was a strategic decision that they made so that they cpuld sell to the US more easily simce film does not specify the number of lines as TV does. In those days UK used 405 lines and US the same 525 as today and so it was much easier to sell the moves here in the US.

Unfortunately "Virgin of the Secret Service" was an exception. As mentioned in the IMDb, it was made on video tape. Film copies may have been made for sale abroad, but the series was not well received, and it is unlikely that anything survives of it. Still, you never know!

She's in the chair after the fight & escape attempt, & the image below is almost certainly during the on-screen gagging. Earlier, someone suggested it's a publicity photo by the on-set still photographer, & I agree.

About the ankle ropes, but for the fact that she never stands up, we'd never know from what's shown on the screen that her ankles are tied to the chair. In point of fact, much of the extended sequence, especially the fight, is edited into a jumble of images & we're never shown *anything* with great clarity. That said, it all works! We know exactly what happened, that her hands were tied during the fight, etc., etc. These people know their craft, which is the telling of a story on the small screen.

One reason the thing works is that Bones is convincingly bound & gagged, whether we see it or not. I'm not suggesting that Emily Deschanel couldn't have escaped the ropes at any time, after the director called "cut"! I'm just saying they took the time & effort to make her *look* helpless.

For me, this is the reason "Loosie" scenes are so irritating. Failing to bind & gag the talent in a convincing manner wastes the efforts of all concerned, & often it's evidence of a poor script. "Just sit there & pretend you're helpless", or "We can't gag you, 'cause it would ruin your makeup. Just don't make any noise" (even though a rational damsel would be screaming her head off!!) "Loosie" means laziness, incompetence, or both.

The Bones people are pros!

Eh? I know that TJ Hooker was on some TV station in the states at like 4am or something.
Prices for DVD box sets are always batshit crazy high until retailers realize that there is no chance in hell they will sell at that price and the prices drop.

Obviously these are bootleg releases. So far the only official releases are seasons 1 & 2. What gives it away is the words "custom artwork" in the description. An official release will not make a big deal out of custom artwork. I have to say though that whoever did the artwork did a good job.

They just finished a cable run on A&E late last season. They ran through the series about 3 or 4 times. The show is not listed on the A&E web site anymore. It was clearly bought as filler programming since they aired it at 4 a.m. Plus, the episodes were not improved quality wise. Still, the upgrades from the original episodes/and or syndication from the 1980s was welcome.

Unless Heather Locklear appears in the DVDs as she is today and recreates every B&G scene, I wouldn't pay a dime for any of the DVDs.
