Saturday December 23 08:23:24 2006 Home of the Brave or Next? |
Looks like "Home of the Brave" is not the best movie of the year - in fact, DVDtalk.com cites it as one of the worst. Still, our friend H (from diddvd.com) has posted a scanned picture from a magazine that featured Jessica Biel tied to a wheelchair and tape-gagged. H says that the pic is from "Home of the Brave". Yet Racingfan (of screencapsules.com) says that he saw promo pics of Biel gagged from the movie "Next". What the heck is going on? Which is the movie with the bondage scene? "Home"? "Next"? Or BOTH??? Nah, these things happen only in dreams... :(
Oh, well, at least I know that I'm not going to watch "Home of the Brave" in theaters. Read the review below. |

I'm not sure about either of these films, but I wanted to mention another upcoming flick that MIGHT have potential: "Code Name: The Cleaner." Saw the trailer for it yesterday. It looked like an incredibly stupid spy-action comedy with Cedric the Entertainer, but Lucy Liu is the female lead. Granted there's no hint of a scene in the trailer, and though they're playing her up as a kick-ass spy, who knows; they might go the route of "make-the-goofy-and-inept-lead-a-hero-by-saving-the-kidnapped-girl." Chances are probably slim...but it's Lucy Liu. The slightest hope is better than none. |

"make-the-goofy-and-inept-lead-a-hero-by-saving-the-kidnapped-girl." ---- Hmm... what are some of our favorite uses of this motif? To make it reasonably difficult, the guy has to be a complete schlemiehl. Naturally, the rescued DiD is a real knockout. Some that come to mind are: Naked Gun 2-1/2: The Smell of Fear Spy Hard Who's Harry Crumb? Beverly Hills Ninja Johnny English Get Smart (entire TV series) *Charlie's Angels (*Unfortunately, the episode "Bosley to the Rescue" exists only in my imagination -- It's curious that in five seasons the TV series never used the ol' "Role reversal" plotline. Even the female lead kick-ass series "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" had several episodes where Buffy lost her superpowers and the Scooby gang had to bail her out). |

Her wrists are tied in front. The gag is removed after about three scenes. |

On Friday's "Asi es la Vida" there was a scene with a young maid B & G. I caught it in the middle so not sure what was going on. |

When her blind brother's deaf sidekick (Gene Wilder) comes to the rescue, there's a humorous sequence in which she furiously mmphs to warn him first of some approaching Dobermans, then of the alarm that will go off if he breaks the glass. In the last 5 minutes, Severance is taken away by the police to a squad car in handcuffs. |

Cute brunette in classic maid's outfit walks in on villains holding old man at gunpoint. Next she's shown lying on bed (unfortunately - old man interference) bound hands behind back and cleave gagged with a red / white cloth. A few shots of her w/old man on bed, and one nice close up of her alone. Both are carried off bed and are forced at gunpoint into the main room, where good guy walks in. Fortunately, the old man escapes, and villainess still holds the maid at gunpoint, where she's brought into the kitchen. Some nice shots of her with gun to her head. She's then brought outside where the police have just arrived, and she's rescued. She's bound and gagged the entire set of scenes, which last about 5 minutes total. Girl playing the maid was quite hot. This show's now had at least 4-5 very good scenes with some hot girls. Note that the show is mostly romance /sex / comedy and that the scenes have been done in a light-hearted manner w/out real violence to the damsel. |

Though unarmed, Kelly and Kris (naturally) either kill or capture Tiffany's three captors, and the two enter the shack and free her. Bosley (bringing Charlie) arrived too late to impact the proceedings. Now in my imagination: After making their usual catty putdowns of Bosley in the opening minutes, Jill, Sabrina, Kelly and Kris are kidnapped/captured and B&g'd -- and have to rely on Bosley to rescue them. Similar to the Knight Rider episodes "Give Me Liberty" and "Knight of the Juggernaut", Bosley takes his time ungagging the four... |

I also know that Agent 99 was bound and gagged twice on "Get Smart". Do all of the other movies feature a beautiful actress who is bound and gagged? |

Hello,
For those of you with Time Warner on demand, check the free movies section, and you will find Murder Live. At least this is the case in my area. |

It is completely ridiculous that they never gave an explanation as to HOW "Helena" (Constance Towers) freed herself. Of course, I did not actually WATCH Friday's episode, I recorded it and then fast-forwarded through it. They did not actually SHOW how she got loose and I am assuming that they did not MENTION it either. At the end of Friday's episode, the baby of "Emily" (Natalia Livingston) was found to be missing, and we are to assume that one of the three characters you mentioned above took the child. Unfortunately, "Emily" was not kidnapped as well. Still, we should keep an eye on it this week. Natalia Livingston REALLY needs to get bound and gagged. |

I agree with you, but this is also a good example for IMHO unnecessary nagging: As usual, Raffish gave us a full dozen scenes, and there are eleven without a blindfold. What we need are more scriptwriters considerate of all our needs. I am looking forward to "Wallander: Mastermind", airing in Germany on the 26th. See link. Merry Christmas or if you prefer - Happy Holidays. Thanks everyone for another highly entertaining year in this forum and The Mod for keeping it up. |

There are a fair amount of clinkers in the Popeye cartoons of the 40's-50's (made by Paramount/Famous Studios), bondage scenes nothwithstanding. the 60's were worse with over 200 Popeye cartoons produced by King Features Syndicate that made H-B's product look like pure technical gold by comparison. Don't recall any bondage in those 60's Popeye toons though.
