No, it exists allright. I have the entire scene on video (albiet a bit grainy...probably 2-3 generations down...got it in trade). Pretty nice scene, but no real good shots of Mickie (oops! I mean, Alexis!) in close-up.
I'd make a YouTube video for all to see if I knew how!

You want DiD, head to the YA books for girls. I read many such scenes growing up.

Gong Li - Hannibal RIsing
I'm pretty sure this is the scene where Gong Li gets bound. In the book there is also another scene where she is bound and gagged and carried over the shoulder.

Fancy Handgag photo
Found this up on NBC site.
Fancy getting handgag in bed.
Coincidentally while we're talking 'bout cheerleaders
she's apparently dreaming about being a cheerleader right before the handgag.
Think the two will cross paths in the coming week?
This will be her third tie up scene in the past few months.
Is this chick liking the ropes lately or what?

Can't wait for the latest chapter in officer Fancy's perils. Amazing run to be bound and gagged three times in a 3-month period.

Hello,

I just found this nice picture on a well-known web site. Title: «Hollywood files»? It's not in the database…

Yes, it is. Correct name of the movie is "Hollywood Flies."

DAMN IT! That's EXACTLY what I wrote in my previous post! And who gets the props? Me? No! It's Kid Monster! And I get no credit. At all.

I don't blame you for this, Kid Monster, because you may have missed / skipped my post. I just can't stand it when I spend five minutes of my life writing huge slabs of text for you guys to read, and no one pays attention to them...

No offence. Besides, my post didn't include the picture of the gagged cheerleaders. Maybe that's why everyone ignored my post...

I can aver that the book cover was not a still taken from an episode; the defunct series lasted only two seasons, and I would definitely know which episodes featured bound and gagged actresses. Furthermore, I don't think that the series was cancelled in mid-season; the second season completed its run, and the series was not renewed.
I can also aver that at least two of the girls bound and gagged on the cover were actresses who starred in the series; the beautiful black girl seated to the right of Brittany Daniel became a series regular in the second season. She wasn't a cheerleader, however, but rather a famous teen model who had transferred to Sweet Valley High. This makes me almost positive that this picture was taken solely for the purpose of being a book cover.
It is interesting to speculate how many photographs were taken of the actresses bound and gagged in cheerleading outfits. Considering how fussy and exacting photographers and book publishers are, the actresses must've had to pose for hours bound and gagged in cheerleading outfits. I'm sure they were generously compensated for their time, but I'm also sure that they were glad for the work, since none of them is a recognizable A-list actress.
It is also interesting to speculate why actresses from the series, rather than professional models or struggling actresses desperate for work, were chosen to pose bound and gagged for the cover. Perhaps it was to encourage sales of the book, since watchers of the series would immediately recognize two of the girls bound and gagged on the cover as series regulars. Perhaps the image of these two beautiful series regulars bound and gagged might evoke interest, and increase the chances of the book being purchased. Perhaps a series watcher looking at the cover might think that there was a "tie-in" with the series(pun intended)! Hahahahahaha!
The actresses appearing in the series may have had a cluase in their contracts that required them to participate in series promotions, including posing for book covers. They may have posed for many other covers in which they weren't bound and gagged. Finally, selecting actresses already appearing in the series may have saved the publisher time and money, as this obviated the need to pore through countless headshots to find a suitable model for the role.

Youtube postings must follow the same rules as everything
else, they must concern mainstream scenes. Youtube itself
is not a mainstream medium. So amateur footage posted
there is not topical.

I don't have enough information from what you posted,
but I suspect it's not. I'll give a bit of time to
confirm or deny that, if I don't see something that
indicates that it's topical I'll remove it next time

Just in case anyone lives close to Houston TX, Urinetown is playing at the Main Street Theater until Jan. 27. Hope Cladwell is played by a very attractive Allison Luff.

An American Crime
Just saw this docudrama about the Sylvia Likens tragedy at Sundance. Not much there for us, though that's possibly for the best. Brief scene with Ellen Page (as Likens) being tied to a basement beam with her hands at her sides, and also a brief handgag at one point. Good film, but obviously more than a little disturbing.

Yeah, what I'd REALLY like to see, and probably never will because it's in copyright hell and likely to remain there indefinitely, is a movie based on "Let's Go Play At The Addams'" which was also based on the Liken murder.

Man, that was one creepy, disturbing, thoroughly sick little footnote in American history. But at least the "Addams" book was practically all bondage, practically all of it nude, too.

Do tell us, please, that we quest not in vain...
Sorry to go Shakespearean on everyone, but listening to an audiobook can do that to you.

We-my video-iPod-wielding acquaintance and I-followed up on a recent suggestion here upon finding that Linda Fairstein's "Entombed" was available from netLibrary as a digital download. I won't bore you-or risk the wrath of Alberto Gonzales and his minions-by relating the details of how the encrypted WMA-to-iPod compatible file conversion was accomplished, but we've got three weeks to listen to it (or six if we renew at the end of the checkout period), and if we chuck it afterwards, it's "no harm, no foul" at least as far as I'm concerned.

But enough of that; I'm here to ask about the book itself. We're about five hours into it, and so far, the only first-person bondage account has been a rape victim's rather dry testimony before a grand jury. There's been much more second-person talk-particularly about the fate that befell a young woman whose skeleton was found bricked up inside the wall of an old building (the event from which the book gets its title), and who may not only have been alive, but bound and gagged when put there.

Please tell us that there's going to be more than this! Please let us know that the artistry of voice actress Barbara Rosenblat won't be wasted, and that she'll give us Fairstein's protagonist as a latter-day Anne Beddingfeld, only better! Don't give away the ending, of course, but give us a reason to look forward to the remaining six hours.

By the way, does Fairstein tie her heroine up in any of her other books?

If you go to the Amazon link below and search on "gag," you'll arrive at the main scene, which starts on page 257 of the hardcover edition. (And "box" will get you to that first page if the search results for "gag" don't let you navigate that far back.)

Fortier
Here's a short clip for download from the Canadian crime series 'Fortier' which hasn't been seen on the internet because it was never broadcast - preempted by a hockey game.
(I know zilch about sports, but if memory serves correct, I think it may have been the SL Blues vs the Lakers in the Superbowl or something like that - maybe the Manchester United)
Regardless - a 'time-out' for this one

Not to get too far afield here, but depending on your software, it's often possible to burn those files to CD as plain ol' CD-audio files, then rip those back to your computer as mp3 files, free of any Digital Rights Management. And while I tend to be a respecter of copyright, I doubt anyone's revenue stream would be affected by your making a permanent record of a couple of scenes here and there.

Thoughts on "High Tension"
Looking at a tape I'd made of "High Tension" a very dull psychotic killer movie, but it did have one element that put its DID scene way ahead of any others.

And that element was the fact that the DiD was bound ... and gagged -- with chains. And the first chance her would-be rescuer has to rescue her, she is unable to, because she can't do a thing with the chains that secure the DiD. She has to leave as the serial killer returns, leaving her friend to his "mercies."

That was extremely dramatic, and very nice, a neat bit in an otherwise unimaginative movie. (Plus, I hated its dark, grimy look and nasty theme.)

I've often though it wold be a pretty cool scene to find a damsel tied with rope but gagged with a ballgag secured with a trainer harness with a lock in the hasp on the back, so that the harness can't be removed without a key. So the damsel is freed but has to spend some time moving around in a harness ballgag because they can't get it off. Make for some nice comedy, or pathos, depending on how it's used.

Any remember any other scenes where a rescuer is forced to leave a damsel captive because she's bound too well (chained, tied extremely thorughly, whatever)? I'm not copunting "Indiana Jones" here because the problem isn't Marian's bonds, it's Indy's fear that her release would get the camp all alert and so forth.

The drama of this scene has to be severely limited by the fact that only one of the damsel's wrists is actually in the cuff -- she is clearly hanging on for dear life to the cuff with the other hand.

You have to wonder what they were thinking when they let that pass.

Mine eyes have seen the terror of the coming of the Mod...
...and mine ears have heard the tramp of the jackboots with which he's shod-so rather than further risk riling him up, I'll cut off the discussion of how to (ahem, ahem) "borrow" public-library audiobooks via online download by telling everyone that the ones from netLibrary don't let you pull the burn-and-rip-back stunt. You have to resort to other means that frankly are neither on-topic nor technically legal to discuss here-so we won't.

There's another distributor called Overdrive whose catalog is available in some libraries; the weird thing about them is that they not only DO let you burn-and-rip some (but not all) of their offerings, but they publicly declare that you can keep the burned/ripped books forever afterward! The downside is that you have to download special software from Overdrive instead of just using Windows Media Player as with netLibrary (both are Windows-only, unfortunately), and if you DO happen to find a title of theirs that might be of interest, you'd better hope no one else beat you to it. Overdrive only allows one checkout per library per title as opposed to netLibrary's unlimited simultaneous downloads.

Anyway, to steer back onto the straight and narrow highway of topicality, is anyone here whose local public library subscribes to Overdrive finding titles that would appeal to us?

Dracula's Castle (1969), where the heroine and her husband stumble upon the chained AOH women, but can't free them (and thus themselves become captives).

This probably is most frequently depicted by Hollywood with handcuffs -- the famous final DiD scene in "Speed", where Keanu Reeves bests Dennis Hopper, but can't free Sandra Bullock from the runaway train because the mad bomber had the keys. Another "I don't have the keys" moment was Devon Miles to Mary Kate McGeehan in Knight Rider's "Knight of the Juggernaut".

T.J. Hooker as a psychic moment: At the end of "The Obsession" episode, how was Stacy Sheridan freed so easily from her handcuffs? The gang leader (who presumably had the keys) fell off the building to his death. Or did Sgt. Hooker have psychic insight: "I better look up the serial# of the handcuffs that Stacy was issued, then have a duplicate key made ASAP. No doubt she's been locked up in her own handcuffs (again)."
