| Sometimes I’m very glad that I work from home (loneliness and finding motivation can be inhibiting factors sometimes) with up to half our trains withdrawn from service with faulty brakes… government incompetence is nothing new but surely this is going too far! The current issue of Psychology Today has a young woman wearing a silver silk blindfold. She is kinda cute. Warning there is a dude on the cover also in the same predicament. They are about to kiss. No one is tied up of course. The story is about our attractions to the opposite sex, I guess. There is no sign of the figure being trimmed for superimposition. It's probably from a "glamour" shoot, perhaps at Hammer Studios. The cyclorama wall is some distance behind the cross (no shadow in shot), and this suggests a big studio with high-mounted lights. The cross shadow could have been airbrushed out quite easily, however. Another shot I found via Google Image shows Ms Welch in the same bootless costume, right way round this time, posing with a spear among studio rocks and greens. The cross may have been in use for another film, or easily extracted from the scene dock, and someone decided Raquel would look good posing on it. I guess she does, too. :-) One query: what is the thin dark line around her arm near the wrist? Looks like a little chain. |

With so much on this site about URINETOWN, maybe we should look into stage appearances of movie actress in which they were tied and or gagged. Here's some I found: Both Kathy Nolan and Josephine Hutchinson played Wendy in PETER PAN (some prods. tied to pole, gagged sometimes). Lois Nettleton was once in a Pasadena Playhouse version of THE TIGER (tied to chair) with Dick Shawn. Helen Chandler ('Dracula') once was in a war-relief production of Noel Coward's WAYS AND MEANS (Valerie Hobson b&g in the movie). Jane Wyatt was on Broadway in THE BISHOP MISBEHAVES. Maureen O'Sullivan gets tied up in the movie version. Same situation? I remember reading that Maggie McNamara ('The Moon is Blue') was in a play called STEP ON A CRACK or something; she was apparently tied up onstage by the villain who then tried to set her on fire! Know of any famous actresses who were in stage productions of things like THIEVES CARNIVAL, TAMING OF THE SHREW, SHERLOCK HOLMES etc? Yeh, I know all about Sally Kirkland and SWEET EROS--they even printed a picture of that in the NY TIMES. And don't list THE GAZEBO. In the play it's the guy who gets tied up. |

Right before she's ungagged, Sheila says "this is going to hurt you more than it hurts me" and she does a slow peel of the edge, then rips it off. Don't know why she didn't leave her gagged, but to criticize Sheila for anything is just wrong. |

| All the action Wednesday takes place in the first 40 minutes. Sheila shoots the female cop on the way out. Not sure if she'll survive, but I think Tammy Lauren is not a regular on the show.
Also, add Victoria Rowell to the list of daytime stars looking hotter today than 10 years ago on the soap and "Diagnosis Murder." Hard to believe she's never had a B&G scene on the soap. |

| Hey, what's up with TV shows, I find it almost impossible to know what shows are new and which repeat; both network and syndicated. Tonight for example, I had to dig deep (yes, I use TV Guide) to find out that Bones is new, CSI is new at 8 PM but a repeat at 10 PM, in between at 9 PM Criminal Minds is a repeat but at 10 Medium is new. Tomorrow night CSI is a repeat at 8 PM but new at 9 PM. I'm assuming this is the original CSI (Vegas) but who knows as there are what now, 3 shows called CSI, or is it 4, and 3 or 4 called Law and Order? This is a coincidence, right? (joke)
Anyway, I'm thinking this is confusing on purpose to get you to watch no matter what - that is, if they were all repeats no one would watch, but throw in a new run and bam, now everyone's confused. I don't think there has been a consistent pattern in years. Lost was so messed up for so long they lost a lot of viewers, then they took action and now they promote the hell out of that shows schedule and i see the stars like Matthew Fox on talk shows all the time apologizing for the way the scxedule use to be. So, Brian, you seem to know their twisted logic, how do you explain the mess tonight? Thanks. |

| I just saw and recorded today's scene. "Maggie" (Tammy Lauren) has ONE OF HER HANDS handcuffed to a pipe and she is tapegagged. It COULD HAVE been great. The tapegag was quite good. It just did not make any sense for "Sheila" (the villain) to only handcuff one of Maggie's hands. Why didn't she just cuff Maggie's hands behind her back? When the guy comes along, Maggie could have easily ripped off the tapegag with her free hand to warn him. Instead, she just sits there and does absolutely nothing. It is just ridiculous. You would think that SOMEBODY on the set would have pointed that out. Is it possible that Tammy Lauren "requested" that only one of her hands be handcuffed and the director allowed it?

| Damn Slueth Channel revised their schedule for Profiler on me in the last two weeks. The now have "Venom part 2" airing later tonight at 3am. THis change also moves most of my alerts back a day. The did this to the schedule of Miami Vice earlier this month. This is twice that they list schedules for the month and have revised them.
I will post revised dates and times on the alerts. |

| For an over the mouth gag fan like me Tammy Lauren's scene was a big disappointment. Not only was it short but the ludicrousness of a policewoman with one free hand not pulling the tape off her mouth to warn her boyfriend speaks for itself. And with her shot that's probably the last scene for her. And why didn't Sheila take that big roll of duct tape with her. Oh well, I guess it'll make the cleave gag fans happy. My only hope is as Sheila says, "Two down and many more to go." |
