"Too Close to Home" scene database entries
I was looking at recent entries into the scene database and noticed that there are two for a series entitled "Too Close to Home". I am not able to find information on a TV series by that name, although there is a crime drama called "Close to Home" that I've never seen. Can anyone A) verify that the scenes described below are from that series, and B) identify the episodes in question? Thanks.

Record number: 12445

Title: Too Close to Home
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Unknown

Description: Episode: Unknown

Woman is bound and gagged to chair during Halloween "Trick of Treat". Occurs before opening title and she is found dead.

Title: Too Close to Home
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Unknowns

Description: Episode: Unknown

Woman and her daughers bound with tape and gagged. The two daughters are bound and tape gagged in their bedroom. The mom is bound with tape at the hands and feet and gagged. She is wearing jeans, barefoot and laying on bed. All occurs in opening title and all unfortunately die.

Yep. "Close to Home" it is. 12445 is the episode "Deacon," and 12446 is "Community." No idea who the actresses are.

I'll go update the database.

Hmmm....

I tried .flv first - got the audio track, but no video.
So I tried .wmv second - got the video, but no audio.
Tried .avi - same as .wmv

So i gave up. But, here's some better news: I've got a couple of clips of that scene, and anyone who wants it can email me and we'll make it happen. If there are hordes, then I can post it on Rapidshare, too (I know, I know....)

If it'll save you some trouble, I actually have that clip lined up for the next guest update (which will be going up a bit early, probably tomorrow night).

The Unit
I happened to be around and with not a lot going on tonight. Thought I would throw together a quick clip of the Lindsay Frost scene. Thanks for the alert. It was pretty good actually. I supposed she is not quite the beauty that she once was, as someone pointed out. She still looks pretty good to me . After all, she is like 44 now, so a little aging is probably to be expected. ;-)

Elisha Cuthbert movie now in the can almost two years. Now scheduled for release March 16. No trailer yet or promo images make it possible it could be pushed further. Let's hope not.

"Into the Blue" was also in the can for almost two years before being released, and that one paid off.

Oh crap, did I miss the part where you said you were posting this clip? I guess I should do a more thorough inspection before I go and post clips. I misunderstood what it was you were going to throw up on your early update. Sorry about that.

Incidentally, if you think the RM looks good, you should see the AVI. It's all in the source media which in this particular case, I can't take credit for. ;-)

No, not at all! I hadn't mentioned that I was planning to post that scene and didn't mean to imply otherwise.

Yeah, you can definitely tell that it's from hi-def -- but it also seems to have less artifacting at a lower bit rate, which is interesting.

Oh, jeez, no wonder! Methinks I may have clicked on the .mov file instead of the .dv and accidentally made the RealMedia from the compressed QuickTime instead of the uncompressed original. That'll do it.

No time to fix it now, but no rush either since Wavy's clip clearly will do just fine. :)

Hairspray and Amanda Bynes
Hi folks.
If you google the words "Amanda Bynes" and "Hairspray" together you will come up with a photo of Miss Bynes being tied on a bed by a woman. This movie is supposed to come out in the summer of 2007. This also represents a major fantasy of mine. I knew it was only a matter of time until producers and directors got their ropes around the luscious Amanda.

Hey! Wait a second! This lady isn't barefoot! I mean, she LOOKS like she's barefoot, but she isn't. Sorry to destroy your imagination, people, but this is the truth.

Look at this picture. She is wearing "fake feet" (like the ones the actors playing the hobbits in "Lord of the Rings" wore).

What the hell are you talking about, "fake feet"?! Click down a few more pictures for a closer look at the lady. Those feet aren't fake! You're telling me a high school production has the budget for something like that, when they could just as easily have her wear shoes?

speaking about the second series of HOTEL BABYLON, soon to be aired in the UK on BBC1, actress Emma Pierson has this to say about her character in a recent interview -

Poor Teri Bauer would have to be a recent contender....?

And then there was the poor lassie in the first ten minutes or so of "Weekend of Terror"(1970).

But, for more than one reason, the all time worst would have to be poor Thordis Brandt's character in "Dragnet 1966"(1969)......

Sorry to dissapoint man, but that is a "behind the scenes" shot of the actress "being prepared" for a scene. Which ,as it happens, makes it of even greater interest to yours truly. In this truly wonderful age of the internet, when mainstream scenes from all over the world and commercial material are available at the click of a mouse,I particularly enjoy such slightly rarer stuff as something just.."jist' that wee bit different".A wee bit of refreshing variety to an occasionally jaded sensibility.

Like many collectors, I have reached a point where an element of narrower focus, of specialization, has crept into my collecting. H at diddvd.com has his spendid DiD autograph collection and his "Interview" section. In addition to the sort of "behind the scenes" image mentioned above I find myself particularly interested in old production stills and pictures which make it into the print media. Just a thought....

Have heard the two victims are in separate rooms behind unbreakable glass, so obviously, escape proof rooms. Also saw a pic of her on a bed with a teddy bear. No indication there will be any scene at all especially considering what has been revealed about the plot (they fall in love).

Sorry to be communicating via this route, but my last two emails to you have bounced, even though the address checks. The server times out trying to send. If you've changed your email, would you be willing to email me with an update? Or, if things are the same, I'm wondering whether there's some format incompatability about my message.

Majorjohn's email seems to be unhappy with my Yahoo account, too--some unintended spammy-type thing that I seem to be sending but can't track down (I've asked Yahoo for help.)

Nice scene, of the sort I like (realistic, contemporary, well-tied). Too bad about the fast MTV-style editing, though. I'd like to see more tying and struggling.

And these baddies have got to learn to use a wrap-around tape gag. He gives her water, wets her lips, then slaps the tape back on. That would never hold! :-)

Actually, none. Those shows are filmed so cheaply (look like homemade videos sometimes) and have such a lame excuse for a storyline that I'm afraid they'd eat my braincells out if I watched them on a regular basis. Even the B&G scenes couldn't compensate for that. Same with our own soaps, BTW - only these have very few scenes anyway.

You have a serious computer problem that needs to be addressed immediately - for example, I've received 239 emails from your address in the last 24hrs, with attachments containing multiple viruses (3 different in the latest alone)
Deal with this, or you'll find yourself quite unpopular.

This is off topic, but hopefully this keeps posts to a minimum on this topic.

Caution on you who "believe" has the injected or hijacked machine. Some virused and trojan horses pull the names out a person's address book and uses that as the "to" and "from" addresses. Never trust what the "from" says the sender is, but what server the message originated.

Sorry if I may sound like I am smacking your hand, Steph. Most viruses tend to do this, since it would be harder to find and stop. If anyone has Raffish or others in their address book, are more likely to be the "infected".

Not sure I completely follow this last bit, but the rest seems dead-on.

Stephanie, one thing I've found useful is to set up a filter that sends all messages for which the Content-Type: header contains "multipart/mixed" to whatever folder you use for your "suspicious" mail. This should trap all of the virus/trojan messages claiming to be from dannysuling, while letting the legit messages through.

("So why didn't they get through to you?" one might ask. That's because his address found its way onto my ISP's blacklist, which is separate from mine. I added him to my personal whitelist on the ISP end, so now it's all good.)

Profiler
Sleuth Channel is airing Profiler episodes. It appears the Venom Parts 1 and 2 were joined as one episode per my alert on Jan. 30. Here is another episode that the cut and pasted as the saw fit.

Record number: 2669

Title: Profiler
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Lori Petty

Description: Episode: "Venom", Part 2 (1.22)

In usual Profiler fashion the scene, for the most part, is darkly lit and with no real good camera shots. Sam is knocked out and when she comes to she is blinded and surrounded by poisonous creatures. She calls out for help but the only one around is Lori who is sitting on the floor with her feet bound and her hands tied over her head. There is a sack over her head, and all she can tell Sam is "MMMMMPPPHHH!!". Lori makes so much noise that Jack tells her to shut up several times. When the VCTF shows up to save the day there is a brief, well lit shot of the bag being pulled off her head to show her tape gagged.

Great scene, thanks. She had a much better lit though briefer scene years ago on a lame spinoff series starring secret service agents investigating crimes back in the early nineties I believe. Ironically, the spinoff was based on a mini-series featuring the crocodile dundee chick inviting someone to tie her up for sex (alas, no scene for that though).

Avast, mateys! Pirate wench bondage on Mythbusters!
In building a pirate obstacle course for their pirate special episode that aired tonight at 9 pm, they decided they needed a damsel in distress popup. So resident Mythbuster hottie donned a bodice and they wrapped a few coils of rope around her torso for the photo for the damsel popup. Happened roughly twenty mintes in, and I mean roughly since I was just watching and not paying much attention. About 45 minutes in, also roughly, there's a shot of the popup, and nice expression from Kari.

No gag, sad to say, but that Kari's a cutie!

It's a 2-hour show apparentl, so there may be more.

If this still doesn't work, go to forums.superiorpics.com, then to Actresses A-F, then page three (as of 1/17/07), then "Find" Amanda (Hairspray Stills, HQ 3).

Dragnet 69 Photos
Greetings. I'm sure many of you are familiar with the movie Dragnet 69 and it's DID scene with lovely Thordis Brandt, my pick for the best DID of all time. One thing I always wondered is what they did with the photos they show of the girls near the end of the movie. I wonder if anyone kept them, threw them away or what. It sounds stupid, but I keep hoping they'll turn up on Ebay some day. I would just about sell my car to get those if they did. Later.
