Back in the '80s I heard from a friend, who may be a BS merchant but had the right connections, that in NATO countries the "9" suffix referred to small undercover special forces drawn from the various services. That may be true, or simply a piece of psywar disinformation. |

A gloved hand is clamped over her mouth. Blink and you miss it. In episode 5 or 6 she is seen in a roller coaster car, at the top of the ride, accompanied by one of her abductors. Her hands are bound behind her back and she is cleave gagged with a white cloth. As I recall, the scene takes place in the middle ground and there is quite a bit of movement, but there may be some facial close-ups. |

I don't really care until Lauren gets it. She really looked good in the movie The Concrete Jungle in her oh so brief, and limited bondage. She was shown being handcuffed at the airport, and later at prison getting in a fight, there were a good shot of her in front of the warder from being - nice close up of handcuffed wrists. But she was originally transported to the prison with no restraints at all, instead of full shackles as a felon would be. What a missed opportunity. |

The first time I saw it on TV, in the 1970s, I thought there were two scenes; the first showed the crooks putting the finishing touches to the damsel's bonds and gag, such as they were, and the second was the present scene. I've only ever seen this version since, and am beginning to wonder if I imagined the other scene. I do have a distinct impression of chat and slight gloating, though. Can anyone confirm? |

And neither are about 90% of the viewers - I've noticed that about 80% of the scenes entered into the the database lately are absolute nonsense ("...I thought I saw a handcuff while she was being restrained... - can you confirm ? " Bottom line - the database is being diluted so many of these junk scenes that its becoming a major pain to search for anything - 80% garbage - 20% 'full treatment scenes' - IF you're lucky. At this rate - the revered database will quickly ( read HAS !) become a nightmare thanks to posters with VERY exclusive interests that of of absolutely NO interest to the general population at large. Might want to sub-divide the database. |

Its quality depends on people like you and me entering scenes. I routinely check the db - as many others probably do - with the "display recent additions button". I could not confirm that a lot of "crap" has been entered lately. There are enough "full treatment" scenes. You should also take into account that there are several definitions of full treatment and that this is not a "full treatment database". And as long as it is bondage in the mainstream media, it belongs in there - no matter if it is of absolutely no interest to 80% of the people using the db. I'm often appalled by the fact that people who wish society would become more tolerant with the minority of bondage fans don't show any tolerance towards minorities among ourselves. |

Sunday January 28 16:57:35 2007 GSG 9 |
GSG 9 is the name of a German special forces unit, "Grenzschutzgruppe 9", founded after the hostage drama at the 1972 Olympics. Its existence became public knowledge in 1977 when a GSG 9 team rescued all passengers of a Lufthansa flight who had been held hostage at Mogadishu airport.
German station Sat 1 has now ordered a new series with 13 episodes based on the assignments of a GSG 9 team of five. Series starts on March 7th, and it looks like a flying start: In the first episode they have to free a female American swim team held hostage. Don't know if it can get any better after this. The DiD scene also has a time element in it - in this case a ticking time bomb -, one of my personal favourites. Combine this with the nice scenario "Wait, we can't untie her, we could trigger the bomb!" Everyone who has seen "Target" will know what I mean. We'll keep more than one eye on this. Anyway, it's more than five weeks from now. |

Which movie are you talking about here, Tipping Point or Lesser Evil (I've not heard anything about that movie airing). I've seen both movies (Double Cross and Living with the Enemy)and they aren't in the database yet. In Double Cross; Yancy Butler gets chloroformed about one hour in the movie. In Living with the Enemy; Sarah Lancaster gets tied up in a cabin with her husband just before it gets burned down. |

If it isn't, why are cuffs sold at erotic shops? I don't see the big deal about handgags, but if it turns you on, who am I to say it doesn't belong in the database? For that matter, I don't really care about gags in general, but I like blindfolds. But if what doesn't float my boat floats yours, I'm not going to put you down. I do agree that people are careless with their postings, letting "scene creep" get them carried away. |

For the last couple of days I've been working on a very similar project I've entitled "Is It Bondage?" I've made a montage of 'situations' which cry out for consensus from the mainstream-bondage community for inclusion or exclusion from various databases (a few of which are currently on my website). Here are the situations I've come up with: 1. Restrained by organic matter (tentacles, vines, etc.) 2. Both arms pinioned behind back. 3. Both wrists or one arm+one wrist manually restrained (i.e. with hands, not rope or such). 4. One wrist restrained manually plus handgag. 5. Handgag or cloroform only. 6. In clear tube/cube, etc. 7. Behind bars. 8. Handcuffed by police. 9. Carried over the shoulder (OTS). 10. Carried in arms (cradled). Take a look at my website (there are bigger pics there) and, if you have a chance, answer the survey. Or, with the Moderator's indulgence, you could answer here. |
