Ice Cream Man, you're quite right - Honkey had a (rather jerky and pixellated) gif sequence of the scene way back in the day (when his site was a didcap site). I have a copy of the full scene in .avi format - but for some reason i can't get it working in any current Windows (or alternative) media player. It's weird because it used to work fine. In fact I'm having difficulty get many older .avi clips working these days (in Vista and/or WMP 11). Anyone else experiencing this? I know a friend of mine who is, so I'm not the only one. I'm happy to forward the Wiseguy clip and caps to anyone who'd like to try it on their system to see if it works on theirs. If you can get it working, I'd be interested to know. Right now I can play it but I only get the sound (no video). I'd really appreciate it if someone could accept the clip, perhaps convert it to another format (wmv if possible?), then email or link me back to a converted working copy of the file if they're successful (this is an open request). let me know if u'r keen.. here's 3 caps of the scene: |

| I also should point out that we don't know which episode the scene occurs in (Martika only appeared for a few episodes in Season 4), so if anyone can assist the Database, that would be cool.

| Okay, I've sent out the clip to a few people who contacted me, so if a working avi can be salvaged it will be.
Just so you're aware, I've tried things like the K-Lite Codec pack and divx players and alternative .avi players - all to no avail - over the past few weeks. So i'm assuming our only hope in getting this clip out there is conversion. To borrow from Princess Leia: "Help me, Bondage vidclippers - you're my only hope... Help me Bondage vidclippers - you're my only hope..." ;) For the purposes of the database, a few notes I've made in my efforts to track down this scene over the years: http://epguides.com/Wiseguy/guide.shtml appears to be the most comprehensive (the only?) Wiseguy episode guide on the net. You will note that under the sub-heading "regulars", it says: "Martika as Dahlia Mendez [ season 4 only ]". Also note that the show was axed after the very episode in which the Dahlia Mendez character is murdered ('Witness Protection for the Archangel Lucifer'). I watched that episode and was frustrated to find it wasn't the one in which the tape-wrap scene occurs - despite that ep being listed as the one in the Database (until recently). So: If Martika only appears as a regular character in season 4; and if her character is killed off in episode 72, then she has a total of 5 episodes in which this scene could have occurred (ie. in one of episodes 67 through 71). Furthermore, I note with frustration that only Seasons 1 and 2 were ever released on DVD (cursory check of Amazon.com). Can anyone confirm this for certain? Lastly, for fellow Australian viewers, two Wiseguy episodes have been running each weekend for the past few months on the Fox Classics network. It has just finished an entire cycle through all the seasons, and tonight the network re-commenced it starting back at the beginning (the Pilot episode was broadcast a short while ago). So hopefully if we wait patiently (for a crapload of months) we won't miss the scene this time around. If it ever gets fixed, you'll see that the clip I have is quite grainy. I have "The Gift" down as the title. I remember not being sure about the DB entry and recording every episode in Season 4 until I got the right one. For those of you who've seen this one, recall that after Dahlia's (Martika)gag is removed, she says "Cruz" is the one that did it to her. The actor who played Cruz (Tony Bolano) only appeared in one episode which was the "The Gift". |

| Those with Soapnet may want to start keeping an eye on "Port Charles". Erin Hershey is wearing the sweater she wore for her tie up scene. The problem with American Soap Time (AST) is that a day may take several weeks to pass, so the episodes with the bondage scene could air this Monday or this March.
Port Charles airs Monday thru Friday at 12pm and 4am EST for an hour each time. (I believe the noon ones are running a few episodes behind the late night airing, but I don't pay that close attention so I could be off.) |

I think the movie is a short produced by film students at a film school in Barcelona. Not sure how to see the finished product. |

Ah yes, the 5 year ago airings. ;) Spawned the 2nd argument over the Cecil Hoffman scene. Did the previously unaired "Changing Houses" air, or not? One said it did, that the ep. Others said it didn't and it from another season, etc etc etc Anyway, wouldn't you know? TVLand channel is airing the show daily, they're current near the end of Season 3, and will likely be into these season 4 eps by mid-March. |

Yes, the US version of TV Land and TV Land Canada are seperate networks, both owned by Viacom but run independent of each other. Several years ago when TV Land Canada was airing "Mission: Impossible" somebody asked, on the US TV Land website, why it wasn't airing in the US and the TV Land board moderator posted a lengthy explanation of the whole confusing corporate mess. |
