Goya's Ghosts
If I used the phrase "Natalie Portman nude strappado torture" on this page, you would most likely assume I was a troll and a liar. And you would be right to do so, ordinarily. But Milos Forman has a movie coming out called Goya's Ghosts that changes everything. There are three clips at the link, because you shouldn't accept a claim like this without some evidence.

Be warned, this scene is brutal; it's the Spanish Inquisition torturing Portman's character with a strappado suspension. The second two clips are Portman naked, chained to a dungeon wall, being fondled by a priest. So, kind of a downer.

Also, please take note that it is still March 31, terribly close to April Fool's to be posting this but I just heard about it and couldn't find any previous mention on the board. Apparently it's already out in Europe, touring the film festivals.

Mac users like me may have problems with the audio, but the video at least looks very nice.

I'm a PC user, yet the audio won't work on these clips. I downloaded the latest divx codecs...still no go. Any ideas?

Try downloading a complete codec pack, such as K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (see URL below). If it still doesn't work, contact me (remove the NOSPAM from my e-mail address).

Thanks for the tip. I saw it at the video store today and the cover seemed like false promises to me. I appreciate the confirmation.

If by good you mean the best movie I saw in 2006 then yes, if you mean pertinent to the interests of this page then no, it wasn't that kind of kidnapping.

Likewise, JP, thanks! In fact, I already had the movie coming up next in my NetFlix queue. I guess I'll delete it, especially if the movie itself isn't that good anyway.

Man, I wish the manufacturers for those DVD & video box covers wouldn't do that!!!!!

Wedding Belles last night on channel 4
Nice scene in one off drama half way through - attractive blonde with front hogtie and OTM scarf gag - possibly with packing. Nice mmmphing, but short scene - one gag close up. I am sure will get repeated on the various channel 4 stations.

Iron Man?
I've been vaguely aware that an "Iron Man" movie was in development, but that particular branch of the Marvel Universe has always more or less eluded my interest, 'til now. I just learned GWYNETH PALTROW will play "Pepper Potts", the red-haired love interest of Tony Stark (ROBERT DOWNEY JR.). Wikipedia reveals there have been kidnappings in Pepper's comic past, but, like I said, I'm not a big Iron Man fan. So... just thought I'd ask: If there are any Brian'skteers out there who *are* Iron Man fans, does this movie bode well for DiD-fanatics such as ourselves. The principal villain will be "The Mandarin".

No. Iron Man was not that kind of book. I don't see it happening.

I've got Knotbusters updated for April. There are 'caps from Turistas, Las Vegas (with Vanessa Marcil in the trunk), and Justine. There's new Poser art, and I've added a new chapter to my story, Aztec.

Enjoy.

Renting DID Movies from Netflix vs Blockbuster
For those who are using Netflix to get dvd's with DID scenes. Here are 2 reasons why you may want to switch (like I did) to Blockbusters Total Access. 1. With Netflix almost every other dvd they sent me had to be sent from a different state, because they were out of that movie in my area. So it would take sometime 4,5, and even 6 days before I received my movie. Then it would take another 4,5, or 6 days for them to receive it back before they would send me my next movie. With Blockbuster about 99% of the movies they send me are from Rochester NY (56 miles from me) and I get each new movie in one day after returning the last movie to my local Blockbuster store (2 blocks away). 2. With Netflix you have to wait till they receive your movie (in the mail) before they send you the next one in your quire. With Blockbuster your able to take the movie back to the store and pick up another movie at no charge, and the movie that you return is put into their computer system, so it shows up instantly that the movie has been returned, and they send out your next movie, ether that day, or the next. With Netflix I would only get from 4 to 9 movies in a month . With Blockbuster I get to watch 18 to 25 movies in a month, for the same monthly fee $10.79 per month. Even if you don't live close to a Blockbuster store, you'll still most likely get to watch twice as many movies because your movies will be sent from within your area, so the mailing time will only be 1 or 2 days. The only drawback is every once in a while Netflix will have a movie like "Terror in Beverly Hills ", that Blockbuster doesn't list. So far out of about 75 movies listed in the Scene Database I've only found 3 that Netflix has that Blockbuster doesn't. What I do is every time I take the movie that was sent to me from my quire back to the store, I pick out an in-store movie that I think may have a did scene in it that is not in my quire. It doesn't cost me anything, so I'm not as disappointed if I don't find a good scene, as I would be if it cost me a $4.00 rental fee.

This is an American-produced sitcom that premiered recently on the FOX network. I thought it would be dreck and haven't been the slightest bit interested in watching it... until now. Any idea what the title/episode number of the episode of interest is, so that we all can keep an eye out for the rerun in the States?
