| Ah, bondage in ballet and bondage in opera! What a subject you have opened up!
As to ballet, there aren't many examples, because bondage interferes with the dancing. A notable exception is Ravel's "Daphnis & Chloe", where Chloe is captured by pirates and made to dance with her hands tied in front. In opera, there's a lot more. "Carmen" is famous, of course. If you want to see this bondage scene really done right, rent the version with Julia McGinnes and Placido Domingo. I first saw this film in a theater, and she had the whole male portion of the audience squirming in their seats. (Just for good measure, she later gets dragged down the street by a rope to her hands tied in front of her. The people who shot this film really know their stuff bondage-wise!) Then there's Mozart's "Idomeneo", which begins with a captive princess (wonderful phrase, "captive princess"!) lamenting her captivity. The Metropolitan Opera's DVD version of this has Elena Cotrubas singing the role, and her hands are bound in front of her with a long rope. The rope is a little unrealistic (too big), but she looks so sweet and vulnerable that she makes the whole thing sexy. Speaking of the Met, they recently put on Handel's "Rodelinda", in which Rene Fleming spent a whole act chained up in a dungeon. Unfortunately, not televised! Speaking of Handel, the Glyndebourne Festival in England recently released a DVD of his "Giulio Cesare" in which Cleopatra is sung by Danielle De Niese, a 25-year-old American who is about the most beautiful opera singer to come along in decades. Her enemies capture her and chain her up with hand shackles. She sings a sweet lament for her fate with a little-girl-lost look on her face until one of the guards gets too close. Then she wraps her chain around his neck and starts strangling him, while the music erupts and she sings about all the vengeance she's going to take once she get out of here. The other guards rescue their comrade, and she goes back to the original lament, but now they're keeping their distance. Wonderful! In Puccini's "Turandot" a slave girl, Liu, is tortured right on stage. This is a perfect chance for some hip stage director to really make something of this, with her spreadeagled and even (dare we hope?) partially stripped. No such luck. They all blow right by it with the absolute minimum of stage business. Perennially disgusting. Well, enough. Being an opera fan with a bondage kink adds one more complication to life! |

| Saw this a couple weeks ago, and noticed it wasn't in the database yet. (My exact recollection of the scene is not 100%, and I don't want to post an incorrect database entry).
Episode will probably be run again during the Summer. Title: Bones - (2.18) 'Killer in Concrete' Damsel - Dalia Phillips Description - Bone's partner is missing, and bounty hunter Phillips may have info as to his whereabouts. Bones and her dad capture her, after literally pulling the rug out from under her. We see her hands being tied in front with some sort of plastic band. Next we see her tied AOH in a bed being interrogated. My memory is fuzzy as to whether or not a gag is involved, and how her hands are tied above her head -together or seperately. The supplied picture doesn't help much, but gives an idea of what the scene looks like. |

| Not a bad scene earlier tonight on Neighbours featuring Nicky Whelan. Pepper (Whelan) is tied to a chair when there is a knock at the door and she is handgagged by her captor 'Mad Mary'.
Mary then goes to answer the door and the next we see Pepper she is now gagged with a reddish, multi-coloured cloth. Her feet are unbound so she shuffles on the chair over to a lamp and kicks it over, then continues kicking to get the attention of whoever's at the door. She is shown a couple of times kicking stuff. Mary then returns, holding a rope, warning her to be quiet. The next time Pepper is shown we see her feet are now also bound to the chair legs. Later in the episode, Mary asks if she wants a drink and there is a good close up as she nods just before the gag comes off. She remains bound and there could be more this week. |

| I was watching a show with my nephew called "thats so Raven"
and in the episode the lead character is entertaining a girl scout troop after a rain storm cancels thier trip. The girls scouts get bored and decide to play trick on Raven, as she walks into the room she steps into the trap that pulls her up in the air in a net made of what looks like a mixture of pantyhose and tights , while she swings in the trap helpless and asking the scouts to release her I thought of other times when TV shows have used the rowdy kids tying up the babysitter format and came up with Lucille ball on the "I Love Lucy Show" then again she was tied to a bunk bed in another show I think it was "the fuller brush woman " but can't be sure. There was Christina Applegate on the Bundy show another was one of the Olsen twins on there show and currently there is a "Jimmy Johns commercial " with the kids running wild and a woman tied to a chair . I'd like to know if there are others TV shows that I missed that used this baby sitter tied up format? Thanks in advance |

Sorry for getting back to you so tardily, but I have a copy of "Watch Me" floating around somewhere and I tried to find it but couldn't. I don't remember the film too well. I'll grant you that "Watch Me" probably had it all over "Over the Wire" in terms of length of scenes and probably the amount and extent of writhing as well. But what makes OTW special is the intensity and rarity of the imagery. For example, in most Skinamax sexual bondage scenes, the women's hands are almost always tied in front. Griffin Drew's hands are cuffed behind her back. Missionary position is almost always the position favored in Skinamax sexual bondage scenes -- offhand, the only one I can think of that involves doggie style is the scene from "Striking Resemblance," which was censored subsequently. And Drew is not just taken doggie style but kneeling face to the ground with her butt in the air. Very unusual pose even for vanilla Skinamax scenes. Most of all, it's incredibly rare for the woman to be gagged during sex in a mainstream film -- the only flick I can think of offhand is "Devil's Prey" and it's never really clear if the gag is tied in (as is the case with OTW) or just held in place. There's nothing else like Over The Wire's scene, really. And the thing is, Over The Wire is just a garden-variety Skinamax film, a genial comedy that's quite watchable on its own terms. I doubt if the filmmakers had any idea how much farther out on the limb in terms of sexual bondage imagery they were going than anyone else had to date. Or since, for that matter. What kind of imagery does "Watch Me" have? |

It was basically a Youtube format before this wonder called the internet. People would send in skits they created and the audience would vote on the funniest/cutest/silliest ones. Most of them were crass or stupid humor but I remember one that was a parody on the original Fox reality show "Cops". I think it was called "Parents". Anyways, the set up is that the parents are called to house where the babysitter has lost control of the kids. They quickly show the cute babysitter bound and gagged with 5 year old brats dancing around her. I remember the audience guffawing with laughter but I'm sure I wasn't the only one turned off all of the sudden. |

"Birthday Girl" with Nicole Kidman tied naked to a bed for some fun and games. "Cheyenne" -- it's a modern Western, but it's erotic and thrillerish, and a tied-up Bobbi Phillips doesn't let her pinioned wrists keep her from busting a move on her hunky captor. "Dangerous Touch" Kate Vernon is tied naked to a bed. She's also given a naked, chained slavegirl, played by Monique Parent, later in the movie. They get along well in a naked sort of way. "I Like To Play Games, Too" A thumbcuffed Maria Ford must unzip her partners pants using only her lips. She does so quite adroitly. Later, the still-thumbcuffed Ford must cry "Thank you!" repeatedly to her master while being driven to orgasm. In the original "Animal Instincts" Shannon Whirry is tied naked to a bed and molested. Helen Slater gets fettered and fondled in "A House in the Hills." Cynthia Roth gets tapegagged and wrist taped (but no sex) in "Dangerous Attraction."
