I just recorded the last 15 minutes of it but I did get Amy's scene. It didn't look like it was resolved (her rescued, or killed, or whatever) so won't this scene continue next week? Also, was there any scenes before the shots of Amy in the cell phone? A grab, chloroform, or anything? Or did she just pop up tied & tape gagged on the baddie's cell phone & we assume she was grabbed at some point? Like I said I only caught the last 15 minutes. |

| Don't know if this counts as a scene as such but about 90m into this - frankly quite dreadful - movie Halle Berry finds some rather incriminating evidence on Giovanni Ribisi's PC, namely hmself and the murder victim - Nicki Aycox - indulging in some non-vanilla sexual activity. A series of still photos show her hands tied behind and then above her head, so at least two seperate poses (oh for a handy flashback at that point). Really not worth the effort though. |

That doesn't QUITE match what I've read. What happened was, Warren was between gigs and so he did commissioned artwork at cons and such. He soon discoverd that an awful lot of fans were asking him to draw pics of superheroines in distress. After a while, he got really bored with drawing static images of Wonder Woman once again entangled in her golden lasso, so he started fiddling around and came up with this Empowered Girl and started doing little stories, and eventually the character developed into an actual character, with a personality, and friends and a backstory and so forth. If Warren were all that freaked about DiD imagery, it would have been simple enough to not do the comic. |

| The show is on again tonight. Is it a repeat of last nights premiere or is it a new episode? If its new then I'd think it'll worth a record in case anything pops up.

Waiting for the overnight Nielsen numbers to see how long Fox waits before they pull this show. Hopefully, it does well enough to finish the season. I can see a few others getting B&G in this one. |

There were no scenes of her getting grabbed. They just started with the police investigating at her house talking to the husband. A very confusing show with the entire premise and multiple characters. I don't see this staying around very long. |

| It's a tough question. To do a proper job of playing Empowered, an actress needs the following qualities:
1) She should be able to do comedy very, very well. If the movie is ever going to rise above Skinamax level fare, it'll have to effectively use all the great humor and parody elements Warren created in his comic. A pretty actress who can't do comedy will kill the movie all by her lonesome. This rules out a LOT of actresses, and it's not even the most stringent standard. 2) The actress should be bootylicious -- nice rack, nice hips, ample bottom. A fair amount of the humor in Empowered derives from body image issues she possesses, combined with being forced to wear a special suit that's thin as a coat of paint (the suit gives her her powers, and it malfunctions if she wears anything over it OR under it). This is in fact the most stringent standard -- most Hollywood actresses are skinny, and would be eliminated here. 3) The actress should be willing to do practically-nude scenes. A lot. Also be willing to be tied up and gagged. A lot. She should be a hottie, which to my mind means physically attractive and LIKES showing her body off and likes sexy scenes. The closest I've got to a top contender here is Jennifer Love Hewitt. She's bootylicious. I think she's done mild comedy before, though I don't really know how good she is at it. I'm not sure if she's willing to do nude or bondage scenes. I don't believe she's done any, but that just might be because she hasn't seen any projects she likes that involve them. Amanda Byne is really good at comedy, but is not all that bootylicious and not a likely prospect for nude scenes. Jessica Alba might be able to do comedy, but she doesn't care for nudity so she's not really a hottie. If Melissa Joan Hart was still able to convincingly play a twentysomething -- it's possible, she played a teen forever -- she'd be great, since she does comedy well. But I wonder about her and nude scenes. She showed up in Maxim in a state of "do me" a couple of years ago, so she might be willing. I guess I'd put her right under JLH if she's still capable of looking twentysomethingish. Jennifer Connelly and Christina Ricci were once bootylicious, but then they had to go and get their breasts reduced ... The best example of a hottie who can do comedy is Jennifer McCarthy, but her humor is kind of hard-edge for the chracter, and I'm not sure she's still twentysomethingish-looking. It's quite a conundrum, actually. |

| AICN reports that now Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Raiders, etc.) is scripting the remake of the 1981 "classic" CLASH OF THE TITANS. I have classic in quotes 'cause I've always thought it was a little... cheesy, as in a special effects cheeseburger, if catch my drift. Harryhausen did a fine job, & GOOD GWEN that Judi Bowker was purty as Andromeda (*especially* when chained to a rock as monster-bait)... but she looked about as Greek as Halle Berry. No word yet on who might reprise the role in the 2008 version, but *this* time I hope they go more... Hellenic. I mean, imagine, say... LAKE BELL... naked, dripping wet, chained to a rock, and... and... What were we talking about? :-) |

Yes, Drive has an ongoing storyline, so if the show survives then we'll hopefully see more of Amy Acker B&G. She's not a member of the regular cast. She was a guest cast member so she'll pop up when needed again IF the show survives. |
